deuce and bonnie have been dating for a few months now. she'd fallen for him almost instantly; he, on the other hand, never really fell to begin with. don't get me wrong - deuce likes bonnie. he really does. but there's always been a peice of his heart that belonged to the easy-going sierra, the girl he'd known for nearly all his life. bonnie, of the other hand, is lively and exciting. she poses a challenge for soft-spoken deuce; he's never been with a girl that has such high spirits and aspirations. it's a shame that he's never really gotten to know her. bonnie could teach him a lot about loyalty and living. unfortunately, deuce is too busy fawning over his best friend to realize that he has something great right in front of him. bonnie is blind to the fact that he isn't really in love with her. she created this imaginary version of deuce that's happily in love and deeply loyal - and maybe that's for the best. lord only knows how heartbroken this girl would be if she knew the truth.

astra's possessive. that's all there is to it. always suspicious, she constantly hounds perry with texts and calls, wanting to know where he is and who he's with. perry takes it with a playful grin - he loves her, he really does, but at times he can't help but feel a twinge of loathing toward the blonde. he wants his space and she just won't give it to him. she can't help it, of course. it's in her nature to be territorial around her things. she was the middle child of a large family; she learned early how to distinguish something as hers. but he can't help but feel repressed and trapped. he can't even see his best friend anymore - astra hates the girl, so she forbid it. he couldn't say no, but he couldn't stop his lifestyle to accommodate her and respect her every wish. perry loves astra so much it hurts, but at the same time he knows that her love is hurting him. there's a question that's always in the back of his mind, constantly demanding an answer: is she really worth this torture? he still hasn't been able to answer the question.

jessie and oliver are, to put it simply, unexpectedly perfect for each other. they're the living proof that opposites attract. he's an awkward, introverted geek and she's the beautiful girl who's practically worshiped by her peers. they've known each other since middle school, but had no intentions of even talking before oliver started tutoring jessie near the end of the previous school year. once they hit it off during the summer, nobody could stop talking about it. jessie got plenty of crap for what was known as a 'big mistake' among her social group. it was rough at first when she knew her friends didn't approve. but as soon as the list was posted, they were accepted as a couple. it was obvious that they were serious about their relationship. oliver's insight on the world got her every time and he found her impulsive nature infuriating and adorable all at once. they always seem to balance each other out, with his mature ways and her childish demeanor. nevertheless, such a sudden relationship can end just as fast.

sierra and rowan lost their spark. they've never really been apart due to the fact that they've been dating since middle school; that's what's keeping them together, in all honesty. the fact that they've never been apart. they do love each other. they really do. but they aren't in love with each other anymore. well, that they know. breaking up would mean stepping into a new, foreign world, the world of singles, and that thought is scary for the both of them. it's not like they couldn't find anybody else, though. sierra is oblivious to deuce's infatuation with her; he's her best friend, so she doesn't expect that he could have any feelings other than friendship. rowan knows and seems very territorial whenever deuce is around. they aren't exactly happy, but they still care enough to keep the relationship going. sierra and rowan seem to define each other so perfectly. it's unfortunate, because they really would be great together if they gave their love a shot.

roarie and emmett are not in love. truth be told, the two don't really know anything about one another - they merely use each other as leverage to boost themselves up higher on the social ladder. at the beginning of seventh grade, roarie and emmett were nerds. that's all it came down to. so they made a pact to change near the end of the year. eighth grade came, and they introduced themselves as a couple. the two slowly were accepted by the 'popular' group then. by freshman year astra and roarie were inseparable. the two were the meanest, coldest girls in the school, and everybody loved them for it. it was that year when emmett and roarie's name appeared on the list. that was the turning point. from then on they used each other as spring boards, propelling them higher and higher in the social classes. he holds a particular dislike for roarie, but he has to keep it hidden, of course. they wouldn't want their reputations to be ruined, now, would we?
