Adara Snowgrass
[18] [Healer/Warrior] [Rides Keenan]

Adara was glad to see that no one appeared to be life threateningly injured, though she made a mental note to look them over thoroughly when the threat of death had passed. She paused and watched Damon shoot arrows into the trees and spotted a shadowy figure retreating.
"What did you see that?" she asked, "Hang on, that mothertrucker is going down."

In the typical Adara fashion of not thinking before she acted, she started running forward towards the wall of fire. Keenan, who had been making indignant noises at Night Venom as if trying to defend his actions, seemed alarmed. He quickly swung his tail around in the flames, creating a sort of safe zone which Adara passed through. Beyond the wall of flame, she was suddenly in what felt like a much darker part of the forest. She was momentarily unsettled, but she ignored it. She headed for where she thought she saw the figure go.

"Come on out you SOB!" she shouted, "What do you want?!"
She gripped her swords tightly, standing and watching the bushes for any arrows of signs of movement. Her heart was racing, adrenaline lighting her veins on fire. She lived for moments like this. Always the adrenaline junkie. Always the confrontational, over protective person that she was.

{OMG. Soooo sorry for not poising for a few days. I've been busier than expected and I have been training 6 days a week for something coming up in a couple of weeks}

Tobey's face was filled with the utmost fury. That thing, the cold blooded creature that had shot the arrows had hurt his best friend. The arrow may not have been too deep but the fact that it even managed to pierce the skin of a dragon like Charcoal frightened him. "Go scout ahead, destroy that damn thing! Rin and I will stay here." He yelled, he personally wanted to run after that apparent person but he didn't want to leave Char's side. He rested his head against the tough skin.

Everything seemed to be moving fast, too fast. A speeding arrow like which that hit his dragon. The furious backfires of Damon, he wasn't too bad actually. The arrival of the girls. The wall of blazing fire which warmed his cold body now. He felt in shock almost, like he couldn't think or do anything but sit there dumbfound. He saw Adars race off, he saw it all. But then all he saw was a great grey beast and the steady rise and fall of his breathing. Rin came over to check him out. "W-will he be alright? What are you going to do about the arrow?" He asked, trying to keep his voice calm though it raised in pitch and quavered. Surely he'd be fine right?

Charcoal slowly became accustomed to the pain, it was soon a familiar feeling and he understood that it wasn't too deep. But he knew, he sensed, that black magic of some kind was at work here. The arrows weren't ordinary, that was for sure. If they could dig into him like that, but he knew that would happen. Dragons did have much better senses than human, silly mortals. But if he had let that arrow go it would've killed his master and that made a tiny tear crawl down from his dark eyes. Hopefully no one saw that. He looked down to find Tpbey clinging to him, his brown hair a scrambled mess and his eyes shut tight. They both needed the comfort after the terror caused but he knew that the leader would be back up and fighting within no time.

Damon Drew Fletcher, 19 years old, Scout and Warrior, Rides Night Venom

Damon nodded when asked if he had seen the dark figure. Knowing Adara was also quite the warrior, he quickly assumed she would go after the figure and in a few seconds his guess was confirmed. The brunette rose to his feet and dashed after Adara, staying right behind her with his bow and arrow ready to be shot. His hurt ankle did make his dash a bit clumsy; It was obvious the rider was limping. The flames around him gleamed against his skin, showing off the specs of dirt that clung to his cheeks. The blood that slowly dripped down from his forehead also seemed to shine in the light.

There wasn't a moment where Damon wasn't a few steps away from Adara. He kept close, his eyes scanning the surroundings and eyeing the girl, his eyes particularly observing the way she held her swords with confidence. It was admirable, the way the red head would run off despite the dangers. Then again, she was also a warrior and that was expected. For a brief moment, Damon allowed himself to think about what it would be like to use a sword instead of bows and arrows, but that would probably wouldn't turn out too well, and other than that, the group always needed someone with a long-range attack.

After hearing Adara call out to whatever figure had begun to retreat, Damon made sure to scan the surroundings carefully. This forest felt weird and very unwelcoming... It was like... they were still being watched. For a split second, Damon heard a branch snap, making him quickly direct his attention forward towards the hint of a dark figure fleeing inside the bushes.

"You won't get an archer to run at you and fight a sword." He quickly stated as he fired the arrow towards the figure and narrowed his eyes when he heard a grunt. With luck, he managed to hit the figure. "You have to get them while they have their backs turned." he finished as he lowered his bow for a second. Hopefully, he could manage to collect the other arrows that were scattered around the area most of the group was.

Night Venom was quite... anxious from where she was. She had been busy hissing at Keenan's bickering and attempts of explanation. It was stupid to make such a big wall of fire, especially when it could've burned Damon. Her tail lashed back and forth before she paused and her expression softened. The way her yellow eyes began scanning the clearing was a look specific to a creature used to scouting, and absorbing every single detail. She had heard something and she was sure Damon was involved. A small huff escaped her as she tried to inform the dragons that the danger was gone, for the most part. The frills along the side of her neck stretched sideways, making her look somewhat similar to the poisonous dinosaur ancestors, Dilophosaurus. Her fire wasn't nearly as strong as the other dragons, but she did have a small amount of poison... which she would occasionally use when necessary. Poison began to build in her mouth but once she was sure everything was okay, it stopped and her jaws were once more free of poison. Night looked from side to side before shaking her body and crouching on the ground, her eyes fixed on Damon.

The figure turned it's head slightly, glancing at the advancing red head before taking off into the brush. It dicked down as not to be seen, but often had to jump over fallen logs or bramble bunches. The figure jerked to a stop as a bramble bush's branch caught onto it, makin it seem panicked to be free. It turned around to face it's chasers, and shot an arrow their way, though it was a bit off. It gave a jerk and was free of the bramble's clutch, but was soon was stopped as Damon shot at it. The arrow pierced into it, from the back as it had just turned to run again. It gasped and a word escaped from it's mouth."No-" It fell forward and face first onto the ground, though it did not stop. It crawled along the sodden ground, gripping the soft dirtwith its fingers and pulling itself across the woods floor. Desperate to get away, it began gasping, the arrow wedged into it's back and the point appearing on the other side, right beside its shoulder. Its grip on the earth slipped and it rolled down a foot or two to a small creek, where it lay motionless.

Asriel watched Damon run with Adara, and decided to join them in the chase. He glanced at the other two, before taking off in a lopsided run after the other two warriors. He gritted his teeth, his eyes squinted and trained on the figure. What-who was it? He was a little distance behind them as the figure fell after being hit with its own arrow. He couldn't help but smirk, for once happy with something Damon did. He jogged after it as it had slowed, his adrenaline and anger keeping him going. He reached the stream and stopped in his tracks, his eyes shocked and confused."But-" He took a slight step back, wary. His eyes stared at the once mysterious figure that had almost killed them. "That's a girl.."

Messy, wavy dark brunette hair covered part of her face, her eyes closed and mouth set in a grimace. She lay on her stomach, face turned sideways and facing outwards, with her legs in a tangle and her arms splayed; her bow at an angle in the creek by her clenched fingers of her right hand. She was unconscious, but Asriel was wary of if she awoke. Her dark clothes were caked in dried mud and blood, obviously not fresh, except for the warm red liquid now flowing from the arrow wound.

Shadire worried over his rider, though he stayed where he was, watching them all vanish into the woods. He turned his eyes to Charcoal, and squinted at the wound, curious and worried. He shuffled his wings in their folded positions, and looked back to where the three riders had gone. A dragon couldn't help but worry.

Adara Snowgrass
[18] [Healer/Warrior] [Rides Keenan]

When the shadowy figure was hit by Damon's arrow, Adara immediately ran forward to catch whoever it was before they go away. Asriel appeared seemingly out of nowhere and the two ran to the small creek together. Adara stopped and pointed one sword at the figure, but she needn't have worried. When she saw that the figure was either out cold or dead she relaxed. She frowned. Asriel was right. It was a girl. Not what she'd been expecting, but that hardly mattered.

"Yeah, it is," Adara said, "I don't know why you're focused on that. Who is she? Why does she want to kill us? Where did she get arrows that can pierce dragon skin? Honestly, you guys miss all the important questions."
Sheathing her swords she walked over to the girl and knelt down beside her. She picked up one arm and pressed her fingers to the girl's wrist. Her pulse was very faint, but it was there. She examined the wound. A nice shot by Damon. She wasn't sure if it had punctured anything important, but it was possible that the girl would recover. Whether they wanted her to recover was another story.

"We should take her back to the others. I'll see what I can do for her. If she wakes up maybe we can figure out what she wants," she said, "Damon grab her bow and any arrows you can find. They might be useful in figuring this out. Asriel, help me carry her."

Rin Yume/18/Scout and Dragon Caretaker/Shiro's rider

"He'll be fine." Rin answered Tobey. The leader may be a proud, bossy, hot head, but the worry in his voice was obvious. He cared a lot about his dragon, so much that he'd make a rash and stupid order as a result of his dragon being pricked by an arrow. Then again, the others had actually followed it without any arguing. They'd just rushed into a place that their dragons couldn't follow because of the closeness of the trees, following somebody that had just tried to kill them and was possibly leading them all into a trap. Whatever, instead of worrying about the other riders, she needed to focus on the grey dragon in front of her.

She had taken out her knife and had cut off the left cuff on her pants. The piece of cloth was dry from the flight, so she had Shiro lick it. The material was woven with some kind of metal imbued into it that meant it needed to be dampened before it would absorb liquid quickly. She placed her hand on the dragon at the base of the arrow; fingers splayed, and put her other hand on the shaft. In one fluid movement, the arrow was removed and the piece of cloth was covering the spot. The wound had crusted over quite quickly, and Rin estimated that it would be completely gone in about 2, no 3 and a half days. In 12 hours he probably wouldn't even know that it's there anymore.

Still holding the arrow, Rin stepped back from Charcoal to take a quick look at the other dragons. A ringing had started in her ears, but she ignored it, and focused on seeing if the other dragons needed her help right now. Night Venom was fairly beat up, but she didn't look like she needed any immediate treatment. Shadire also looked beat up, and there was something off about his foot, but it didn't look like it was bleeding or causing too much pain at the moment. She turned back to Charcoal, and started to take a look at his wings. The ringing was now making her unable to focus properly, where was it coming from?

Her eyes darted around and came to rest on the black arrow in her hand. It was easier to focus on than anything else, but looking at it made the ringing in her ears even louder. She tipped her hand slightly and the arrow rolled off, and fell on the ground. The moment the arrow had left her hand, the ringing had faded and she could focus again. Realization hit her; the arrow must have some kind of magic casted on it. It would explain why it had pierced the dragon’s hide and affected him so severely. The magic must be quite strong if she had noticed it after holding the arrow for just a few minutes.

Fear of the object on the ground in front of her made Rin stumble back a few steps. Shiro had noticed that there was something different about the arrow and he was curious. He approached it to try and get a closer look when Rin shouted “Don’t touch it!” Surprised at hearing his rider actually raise her voice, Shiro backed away from the arrow immediately.

((I'm back, and with a post~))

Damon Drew Fletcher, 19 years old, Scout and Warrior, Rides Night Venom

Damon rolled his eyes at Adara's words, having already picked up any and every spare arrow on the way over to this... archer girl who tried to kill them. He quickly scrambled from side to side to pick up the last few arrows, his fingertips itching against the smooth surface as he grasped them and put them inside his quiver. Once he finished gathering up the arrows, he walked over to the girl's body and grabbed the bow, although it took a while for him to pull it away.

The brunette's dark eyes examined the bow's design. It definitely didn't seem like a normal bow or anything he could make. It had some carved markings in the bow, but the markings were too thick to have been made with a knife. "Maybe a rock or a stone?" he asked himself curiously as he kept scanning all the details in the bow, observing their pointed ends and gently poking them. The string was quite sturdy as well, although it seemed to be made of... something that wasn't elastic or string, really... and Damon couldn't quite put his fingers on what the material was. Maybe later he could give it some more thought.

Night Venom waited in place, her tail lashing impatiently as she waited for the riders to come back. What was taking them so long? Had something happened to Damon when he went off? After a few worried thoughts, Night let out a hushed growl and passed through the flames, quickly dashing her way over towards the area where Damon and Adara had been while they were pursuing the danger. The scent was strong here, but it obviously went over somewhere else. Without any hesitation, Night Venom quickly began moving over towards the area where Damon was, pausing when she saw him. Her yellow eyes glittered with satisfaction, although she was not pleased. Then again, when was Night ever pleased with something?

Asriel gave the other girl a quick glare, then turned his attention to the unconscious one. Kneeling in the grass and dirt, he tried to find a way to pick her up without moving her injured shoulder too much. He glanced toward Damon as he picked up her bow, seeing him inspect it curiously. Looking back at the girl, he murmured under his breath," Who are you?"
He slipped his hands under her stomach, and slowly turned her over onto her back. Her black shirt and pants were rumpled and her pants were torn near the bottom. Part of her shirt was burned off on the lower arm, where Asriel suspected she was hit by the wall of fire created by one of the dragons. "How do you want to carry her?" Asriel asked, glancing once toward Adara.

A few moments after he turned her over, the girl's eye lids flew open, her bright blue eyes staring straight up. They quickly looked in turn at all three of the riders, before she started to flail and scramble to get up and away. "Don't touch me!" She yelled, kicking her legs at Asriel, who stumbled back a little before regaining himself and standing up. She cringed as she moved her shoulder, and instead used her other arm to push herself up from the ground. Fatigue and injury taking away her energy and strength, she barely made it to stand. She narrowed her eyes at all of them, then focused on her bow in Damon's hand. "You WON'T take them from me!" She screamed at them, before reaching into her boot and taking out a small dagger, holing the handle to tight that her knuckles were turning white. She knew she was out numbered and had no chance. But she wouldn't go down without a fight. She made a lunge at Adara and Asriel, before suddenly turning and swinging the uninjured arm with the dagger at Damon; her first task to get her bow back.
