Adara Snowgrass
[18] [Healer/Warrior] [Rides Keenan]

"I'm done," Adara said, cutting the thread with a small knife she kept with her. She put her things away and wiped her hands off on her tunic. She didn't care about getting dirty. She was already pretty dirty. The suture had taken only about a minute. Once she got the hang of working with the thicker skin, she moved pretty fast. She hadn't bothered doing the one-loop-at-a-time kind of suture. She was afraid the dragon would squirm. The quicker the better, and they had other things to be doing.

"Alright," she said, "We should find the others. I'll take Keenan up so he doesn't have to walk. If I see the others, I'll come down and tell you. Unless you think your friend here can make it up there too."
She walked over to Keenan and climbed up on his back. She didn't wait for Rin's response. Keenan spread his wings and took off into the sky. Adara reminded him to fly low so they wouldn't loose Rin or miss the others if they were on the ground. Keenan seemed slightly annoyed, but did as she asked, flying low and slow over the trees.

{sorry, only two paragraphs again :/ School is annoying}

Tobey glared at Damon, whatever, he really didn't care. Damon just made him agitated, he seriously wanted to run around in circles screaming in frustration. That was immature though, he couldn't care the thought of being demoted from his position. Though out here he doubted anyone would be around to see it. And as that idiot sidestepped to indicate the figures of Asriel and Shadite he almost face palmed himself. He could be really stupid at times, but he had to hide it all. He had to appear perfect, his image and reputation could not be ruined. Because if it was he knew it would be difficult to mend. "Right, uh, we better find the girls. Regroup and then come up with a plan. I'm pretty sure either us or our dragons are injured in someway so we need to take it easy, at least not push ourselves too hard." he would usually make them work their butts off but he didn't want to hurt Charcoal, he'd always push himself to the limit, let alone if Tobey gave out orders. It would hurt his dragon even more than his one teared wing.

Charcoal curled back his lips like a dog, shoeing lines of sharp daggers to the lowly dragons. He growled a low warning to them and narrowed his glowing eyes, he never trusted them. He didn't trust anyone but the faithful hand of his rider. At the sound of taking it easy he almost groaned, they'd be too slow. They needed to move, move, move. But an order was an order and he didn't dare disobey when he saw Tobey do tense. He'd just gave to deal with no matter the objection.

((It's okay! I'm sure everyone is a little busy! (: ))

Damon Drew Fletcher, 19 years old, Scout and Warrior, Rides Night Venom

Damon shook his head and sighed at Asriel's words of feeling invisible. "Well, it's not your fault Tobey can be a bit blind sometimes. That's why I'm the scout. I don't miss small things like, oh, I dunno... A pretty huge dragon." He hummed, not being able to resist the opportunity to tease the leader of the group. His eyes made their way over back to Tobey, examining him to see if he could catch any type of reaction. After all, Damon pretty much feeds off of the reactions. Despite his harshness and lack of sensitivity, he was really just enjoying himself and that was probably what ticked about everyone off.

"It seems like the best if always last, eh?" The brunette offered when Tobey seemed to suggest looking for the girls. "First two people I find are... well..." he paused for a moment, giving a small glance of boredom as he looked at Asriel and Tobey. "...you two, so it's fair to assume now that only the good stuff to find is left~" he finished happily, his voice mellow as it wafted through the air. For a moment, Damon couldn't help but allow his eyes to rest on Charcoal's damaged wings. That doesn't look too good... He thought worriedly for a moment, his face only expressing such emotion for a fraction of a second before getting its usual smug look.

Night, as usual, was somewhat grumpy. Not because of Damon, she found him quite amusing, but because of Charcoal's growls and bared teeth. She bared her teeth back at him before pulling her head high. A loud grumble escaped the dark colored dragon as she glared back at the leader dragon. He wasn't that much of a leader, all he did was bite and snap and try to boss all the dragons and rider around. After a moment of thought, Night allowed her gaze to travel back up towards the canopy of the trees. This part of the forest wasn't too charred... although, despite her urge to fly, it was obvious that she couldn't so so with her sprained wing. Not even to mention the vines... but those could just be burned away.

Asriel pouted his bottom lip slightly, creasing his forehead. "Since day one," He said, before turning his back on both of them, facing his own dragon. When Damon spoke again, he just rolled his eyes, and replied, "Of course to you, only the good stuff to find is left. They're girls." He said, his voice slightly smug, but face turned away from both of the other boys. He was observing his dragon, who seemed to be a bit edgy. His ears twitched, as did the tip of his tail. He shuffled his wings and glanced back and forth, and over his shoulder; as if he knew someone was there, but they couldn't be seen. Asriel raised an eyebrow in question, laying a hand palm down on Shadire's smooth skined shoulder. "Shadire?" He asked quietly, so only the dragon could hear.

Shadire made a quiet gurgling noise in the back of his throat, his eyes glancing toward the other two fellow dragons, then at the forest around them. Someone- something was near, but could not be seen.. or heard. He breathed deeply, his nostrils flaring wide. What was it? It wasn't anyone he knew.. and it wasn't friendly. He felt a tingle up his spine, and he looked down at Asriel, who seemed to not of felt it. It was only happening to the dragons? He felt another shiver, and this one was more of a warning. Something was closing in, and it wanted the dragons.

Suddenly, a strike of black shot through the air, and with a loud 'thump', hit into the tree right behind Damon's head. It was sleek, with a black and yellow feather dangling off the end. The other end, was buried deep into the bark of the tree. Asriel whirled around after hearing the noise, and was barely missed by another, which sailed past his side and embeded itself into the dirt on the ground. Asriel froze, slightly stunned. His eyes traveled up from staring at the item stuck in the ground and locked on the two other boys. Just as the two other weapons had been aimed for Damon and Asriel, another took it's shot at Tobey, sailing straight toward's his chest.

Rin Yume/18/Scout and Dragon Caretaker/Shiro's rider

Rin tried to reply and say thanks, but the fiery haired girl had already mounted her dragon and was taking off. Shiro opened his wings and made a sound as if asking to follow them. "Not a chance." Rin replied sternly. "We are not going to risk you ripping the sutures when you can walk just fine." Besides, only one was needed to look from above, and maybe they'd spot something that Adara and Keenan wouldn't. With all the tree cover above, it would be quite possible that she and Shiro would find the others first. They were a pair of scouts after all. Rin sighed as she walked alongside Shiro. Who was she kidding, she knew that all the best scouting advantages were in the sky, there was no way she and Shiro would spot the guys first. She was just thinking up excuses for keeping Shiro from potentially having to put up with more pain.

Shiro didn’t really like this plan. He had been ok with walking when it was just him and Rin, but now that Keenan was flying, he wanted to fly too. Flying was always more fun than walking, and he could ignore the pain from the cut on his shoulder. To him it didn’t matter what sutures were or if he happened to rip them, he just wanted to fly with the other dragon. Of course, there was no way he would just leave his rider, so he simply kept asking by bounding around and flapping his wings.

Rin watched him leaping around, and after a bit she conceded to his relentless pleading. If he hadn’t completely torn the cut back open by now, it definitely wouldn’t be opened by a bit of flying. She called him over and took a quick look at it before mounting. The stitches didn’t quite look as cleanly done as most of Adara’s work, but the quality of her work was still there; proven by the fact that it had somehow stayed intact, despite Shiro’s flailing about. As she mounted, her shoulder gave, and made her mount clumsy and awkward. She really hoped that nobody had noticed her slip up.

The moment his rider was on his back, Shiro took off, jumping up to a branch of a tree and using that to push off above the tree tops wings closed so that they wouldn’t get caught by the vines and branches that separated him from the sky. Once there were no more obstacles in the way, he snapped out his wings and flapped them a bit to reach the altitude of Keenan and Adara. Happy to be up in the air, Shiro started to do a spin, but Rin reached up and gave him a quick tap to let him know that he shouldn’t. She had been reluctant to let him fly; there was no way she would let him push himself.

Without tricks to do, Shiro drifted into his normal formation spot, and started following the other dragon’s lead like he does in practice. Rin scanned the ground looking for any sign of the other dragons and their riders. She also made a mental note to thank the Healer for her work on Shiro when they weren’t somewhere that they had to shout over the wind to be heard.

Tobey really wasn't bothered with the others, not yet anyway. He was too worried about the girls though Adara could probably protect herself. Hopefully she'd found Rin, Rin would have to be the weakest of the group. He was growing impatient every second they didn't start moving, they needed to be on the go. Certainly get out of there before the terror of night fell upon them. Who knew what creatures lurked, wanting blood and souls. Charcoal was beastly enough, if he had been untamed they would've been screwed. No way they could escape the massive great form of his dragon. He could easily knock down a few trees if he so wanted to. Not that he would of course, unless instructed. He ran one hand through his course brown hair, tugging awkwardly at the tangles.

Charcoal kept his eyes on the other two dragons but something else distracted him. He looked to the sky with a quizzical frown, he could hear something, feel something sailing through the air. The sharp whistling as it sped agitated him and he shook his head and screeched. He saw Tobey turn to him, faltering in his step. His head tilted to the side in curiosity but Char could only shake his head. He was confused, he wasn't sure what it was. But it brought the taste of danger in the air.

Danger had indeed been right for soon three black streaks zoomed through the air. The leader didn't notice though, not until he turned his body to find something hurling straight for his chest. His vital point encasing the heart. Blue eyes widened with the utter shock of the attack, he was stuck to the ground though he frantically tried to move his legs. It felt like someone had oranges him and had left glue on his shoes, super glue. He was a sure goner and he tightly squeezed his eyes together, wishing his family goodbye.

Charcoal valued his life very much but he loved his master dearly and could not see him killed. Dragon skin was tough but these arrow like objects were different, he could sense it. But there was still no hesitation in his sudden action, he leapt in front of Tobey. It was a swift motion, just in time for the black weapon of destruction plunged into the rough scaled armour of his body. He groaned loudly, yet he was alive, Tobey was alive. That was all that mattered, all he lived for. The boy after feeling no impact and hearing the familiar noise of his dragon gasped when his vision became clear. "no" he whispered as the events from the first few seconds sunk in. "We need Rin and Adara now!" he yelled, frantic with worry. Those two were the only real healers they had. He didn't trust himself trying to help Char. He could make the already painful wound worse.

Adara Snowgrass
[18] [Healer/Warrior] [Rides Keenan]

Adara was glad when Rin and Shiro joined them up in the air. They could make much better time that way. As they sailed over the trees, Adara kept a sharp eye on the ground. Then she noticed movement down in the forest, like shadows. She couldn't quite make out what it was. Suddenly she saw three huge shapes and three smaller shapes. A gray dragon, a black dragon, and orange dragon, and three boys, and they all looked like they were in trouble.

"There!" she shouted, pointing, "Keenan, down!"
Suddenly the red dragon went spiraling down towards the ground, pulling up just before hitting the earth. As he did, Adara lept from his back down into the forest among the boys and their dragons.
"What have you idiots done this time?" she asked, noticing the arrow in Charcoal and in the trees and earth. At least, they looked like arrows. What else could they be?

An arrow came flying at her and she ducked low to the ground at the last second. She drew her swords in one clean motion, ready to take down anything that came near them. He eyes scanned the trees, but she couldn't see where the fire was coming from. Suddenly Keenan landed down in front of her. He roared and blasted the trees in front of them with a jet of fire. If there was anything out there, that might slow them down. With a wall of fire blocking on side of their position, Adara took the opportunity to turn around and look at the others.
"Who's hurt? Sound off! Make it quick!"

Damon Drew Fletcher, 19 years old, Scout and Warrior, Rides Night Venom

Damon huffed and scoffed at Asriel's reason to why the girl's were the good stuff. "They aren't just any girls!" he objected, although that had been his mental offer to why they were the good part of the group. "...They're good looking girls that also have dragons~" he sang happily as he leaned against Night, to which she wrapped her tail around Damon protectively. She only did this when she sensed danger. A low growl sounded in the back of Night Venom's throat as her pupils dilated and she scanned the trees. She could tell the other dragons sensed this. "...Night? What is--" Damon started until a strike of black cut through the air and hit the tree right behind Damon's head. He jerked up, startled for a moment and observed the arrow-like figure with the dangling black and yellow feather.

The sound of Charcoal's groan snapped his attention. Damon yelled out an inappropriate curse word, not at all liking this situation. What was hunting them in these woods? Where were the girls at a time like this? Well, no need... He wasn't just a scout, he was also a warrior and could deal with these types of situations. He had been trained for this. It wasn't like Damon was the same little kid of 8 years ago.

After a split second, there was determination shining in Damon's eyes. He wasn't just a typical jerk, he was a bad boy. His hands reached behind him as he grabbed his bow, to which it thankfully didn't seem damaged. Since he had lost his arrows during their... arrival, he quickly reached for the one that had gotten stuck on the tree behind him and sent it back flying towards the direction it came from, making sure it hit no one in the process. Night growled a warning to Damon and he quickly ducked as another arrow-like object flew past him, nearly hitting Night if she hadn't moved aside. The teenager rushed over towards it, rolling on the ground to avoid being an easy target and grabbed the arrow before sending it back in the opposite direction. His knees touched the ground as he stretched his bow out and then heard the familiar call of Adara.

"It took you long enough!" He called out to her as he noticed an arrow nearly hit her, but instead reach the ground. He took a moment to examine the sky, somehow having the feeling Rin would be arriving as well. This was good, at least once they finished solving this situation everyone could be checked on. Once she asked who was hurt, Damon quickly pointed to Asriel, having noticed his wounds were a bit worse than Tobey's. "Tobey's the least messed up out of the three of us, but we need Rin to have a look at Charcoal. His wings don't look too good and he's got a arrow stuck in his body." he answered with grunt as he rushed over to Adara's side and grabbed the arrow on the floor, positioning it on the bow and waiting for any sign of movement, although he doubted much could happen with the wall of fire that Keenan had made.

Night lashed her tail from side to side, her yellow eyes examining all her surroundings at once. She couldn't locate where these arrows were coming from, but she pin-pointed an area and was getting ready to move over there, until Keenan blocked it off with a jet of fire. Her eyes glimmered in the light and then she turned to glare at the red, male dragon. She let out a loud growl to show her disapproval and then quickly dashed away towards Damon, wanting to be near him in case any of those attacks happened again.

Shadire jerked his head around as he heard Charcoal's grunt of pain. He glared at the arrow that had made a victim, then turned his head to exam the trees around them. The feeling had left as soon as the arrows had appeared, and he hasn't felt it since. But he soon forgot about that as more arrows sailed in, each with its own target. He dropped his body lower to the ground as an arrow flew right above his folded wings. Who was hunting them?

Asriel finally got a look of worry on his face, seeing Charcoal with the arrow embedded into his tough skin. These weren't normal arrows; they pierced through anything with elegent ease. Asriel's head turned wide, seeing Damon shooting arrows back at the unknown source, and finally the arrival of one of the girls. That was a bit of a relief, and he figured the other wouldn't be far behind. He shot Damon a look when he pointed at him for the wounds."I'm fine. We need to find where they're coming from!" He said, trudging forward with a slight fustrated look. He stumbled to a stop as the foliage in front of him burst into flame. His face grew warm from the heat of the flame, and he took a few unstable steps back. He suddenly felt the collar of his shirt tighten, and pull up. Shadire gently picked him up by the top of his shirt, being careful not to press on his skin with his teeth. He lifted him slightly of the ground, and set him back down right beside him. Shadire lowered his head and held it in front of Asriel, eyes scanning ahead.

A black figure high in the trees in a close distance jumped from its perch, onto a lower branch below. It turned its face toward the strangers, with blue eyes burning brightly. Suddenly, as Damon shot back arrows, it was taken by surprise. It bent its legs and shot a few more of the mysterious black arrows before an returning arrow by Damon whipped past it, seeming to of nicked it. The figure stumbled, its grip on the tree loosening and its bow tumbling into the brush below. It finally fell from the branch as the billow of air and fire blew towards it from the dragon, and it vanished in the bushes with a grunt.

{{Sorry it is kinda messy.. Had to rush; }}

Rin Yume/18/Scout and Dragon Caretaker/Shiro's rider

Rin watched the ground in concentration, scanning it for anything that didn't quite look right. When Adara shouted that she'd found them, Rin looked over to where she was pointing. By the time she'd located the other dragons and riders, the other girl had already started descending quickly. Not wanting to put more stress on his cut, Rin made sure that Shiro descended slowly. Shiro's normal colours were perfect for camouflage while in the air, but he had dried ash and mud in his fur that should let the others know that they were there.

As they were descending, Rin watched the others moving about in weird patterns. What were they doing anyway? The pattern of their movements almost made it look like they were fighting something, but she couldn't anybody other than the other riders and their dragons.

An arrow burst out of the trees off to the side, and although it didn't hit them, Shiro was startled and locked his wings to his sides in response. The two plummeted downwards, but they were low enough that when the ground came up, Shiro just ran a bit to avoid a crash. They passed Damon and Rin caught the words Charcoal and wings. Worried about the grey dragon, he was the first she went to after dismounting.

His wings were being held at a weird angle, but what caught her attention was the black and yellow thing sticking out from his side that definitely didn't look like it should be there. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was an arrow. It was aerodynamically built and it even had a nook on the end for the bowstring. Of course, how an arrow had even been able to penetrate dragon skin was beyond her. She'd ponder it later when they weren't in the middle of a fight.

Rin felt a powerful burst heat on her back, and figured that one of the dragons had probably resorted to breathing fire. She ignored it and focused on the arrow. Fighting should be left to the warriors.

The arrow didn't look like it went too deep, so she did a quick poison check. There didn't appear to be any on it, and it would take quite a bit of poison to even affect a dragon as big as Charcoal. The wound wasn't bleeding too much either, so Rin decided to leave the arrow in. Once it was removed the blood would flow faster, and she wanted to be able to patch it up as quickly as possible to keep the blood loss to a minimum.

Shiro had followed Rin over to Charcoal and stood over her as she examined the arrow. She had almost been hit by an arrow on her way over to the other dragon, but in her rush to help him, she hadn’t even noticed it. Worried about his rider, Shiro was determined to not let her get hurt while working.
