'I'm...Hiroku Yue,' Yue told her companion, a little dazed. The words tasted unfamiliar on her tongue; she hadn't really had the need to introduce herself formally for quite a while.

And this girl - this girl was a Miyamoto. Oh, hadn't she got herself into a bit of a mess here. The food was awfully tempting, though, and there was no point wasting a good meal.

'I'll have,' she said, wanting to order the most expensive dishes (though Yue retrained herself), 'same as you. Another gyudon, please.'

Yue moved towards a table in the corner of the room, the one underneath a painting that depicted a river in the forest. She sat down, looked around a little nervously and then leant in, 'Excuse me for being nosy but - why did you, for lack of better wording, pick me up off the street? That doesn't seem like something that you, I mean, your kind of people, would do.' Yue looked down at the floor, which was suddenly intensely interesting. Intensely interesting indeed.

[ emiri miyamoto || 16 || levitation ]
Emi shrugged again as she slipped onto her seat, crossing her legs beneath the table. She was certain she knew what Yue was thinking about - she probably feared her family, as many did. Emi herself didn't see her father's actions as a crime; maybe they had been wron, but his motives had been only natural. It irritated her when people feared her instead of showing the adoration that, in her mind, she rightfully deserved.

"I don't know. Maybe because you looked terrible." There wasn't really any ill meaning to this exaggeration on her part; she couldn't bring herself to say she'd felt sorry for how pale, tired and misplaced the girl looked.

"Or maybe," she lowered her voice, and her hair fell to the sides of her face, creating a barrier of sorts that muffled the sound even more. She couldn't believe how stupid it was that she was bringing that up based on a hunch, but now that she'd started there was no way to turn around: "Well, maybe it was because you're different from the rest. Just like me, ever since the meltdown and the disasters. Am I right?" Her dark almond-shaped eyes, which usually held a condescending or joking expression, had a curious gleam to them.

((Alright, so. Through very sucky circumstances, my email was disabled. I forgot it connected to my account, so now it's nearly impossible to access. Took me a while to find this.
I'm sorry, guys. I still want to rp, if everyone is cool with that.

Yue's eyes went as wide as the one silver coin that sat in her pocket.
'What do you mean? No, no, no, I couldn't possibly be, I mean, you haven't got any reason to think that!' she whispered, the words slurring together in her haste. Calm down, Yue told herself, you've done nothing to give yourself away. Perhaps this girl didn't have bad intentions, but was asking out of curiosity. Emiri didn't seem awfully menacing, just a little lonely. Although maybe that was a lie; she did a very good job of hiding it. There were too any 'maybes' here for Yue's liking.

Before she really knew what was going on, the words were spilling out of Yue's mouth.
'Why would you want to know?'
There. Done. If it cost her the lonely life that she had been living recently, she guessed that was OK. The prospect of lurking around, moving from place to place until her face became old and wrinkly was not appealing.
No pressure, went the voice in her head, no pressure.

[@Rainy/Raidie Days - yes, I'm good if you want to keep roleplaying!]

[ emiri miyamoto || 16 || levitation ]
Emi muffled a sigh of relief, the only sign that she’d been practically holding her breath up until now. “That’s good to know.” She had been mostly guessing before, of course, but it was good to know her intuition hadn’t failed. Yue’s question as to why she’d ask that was an interesting one, though - to be fair, she wasn’t so sure herself. She just knew she had to ask. Or maybe, she thought, that was her brain playing tricks on. Maybe it was the frustration of not being able to talk about these strange events with anyone else.

It was a calculated risk,” she told Yue. Now that she saw her as a bit more of an equal, she cracked a half-smile that evolved into an excited grin. It made her look like a small child plotting some mischief. “So,” she leaned forward once again, in a confidential tone, but fell silent when she noticed the waiter approaching their table. Once they were alone again, with two steaming bowls of beef in front of them, she resumed her sentence: “What kind of thing can you do? So far as I’ve been able to figure out, it’s different for everyone. But then again it’s kinda hard to tell what’s the truth and what’s not on the Internet…” She poked at the bowl absently, resting her head on one hand. “I’ve wanted to figure this all out ever since it started. "

AKIO ADFIR
Age • 15
Mood • Tired
With • Nobody
Weak grey light filtered in from the giant windows, made dimmer by the smudged dust and dirt. Akio opened his eyes to the trill of a bird, the normally brown-green color looking more grey then anything else. Slowly, so very slowly, he sat up, ignoring the shouting protest in his bones and muscles. The bird fell silent at his movement, then darted from it's nest and out through the huge hole of the warehouse roof. Akio watched it go, his eyes following the motion, but it looked as though he didn't really see it.

The last week had been pretty bad, worse then they usually were. It was harder for him to scavenge food, most of the dumpsters behind bakeries and stores having been picked at by other street rats. He began to lose sleep. It hadn't been as bad the day before, when he had managed to get his hands on a half eaten donut, but most of today had been spent with the keening pain hunger caused as his stomach tried to eat itself. Akio knew he should have gotten up early that day in hopes of getting something, but the constant cramps in his stomach left him feeling shaky and weak.

It had been too long. If Akio waited any longer, he knew he'd starve. He forced himself up to his feet and made his way out the huge, broken warehouse doors, slipping out onto the empty street. It wasn't long until he made it to more populated parts, and he quickly ducked into the alleys and made his winding way through the city, only leaving the alleys to cross the street when he needed to. It took Akio maybe a half an hour to reach his destination, a cafe with four trashcans and one dumpster behind it. This was the usual place he stole from, but the owners had become aware that someone was "stealing" the food they didn't sell, and they had started keeping better lookout of their trash.

((Decided to jump in how I could, without directly effecting you bros. Yes, he's behind the cafe they're in.))

[So, so sorry - I've had bit of a hard week]

Yue shrank a little in her seat.
'Um...you first?' she asked tentatively, reluctant to give away her one strength to this person who, for all she k we, could be a complete liar.
It was pretty unlikely but you never knew. Especially on the streets.

Tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear, Yue started to blow on the steaming bowl before realising that she probably looked like an idiot and stopped. Gosh, sometimes she could do such stupid stuff. It usually happened in front of people who she wanted to have some sort if civilised conversation with. Conversations of that set had been somewhat lacking in the last while or so.
Slow down. Emiri isn't going to be your friend. Stop thinking she is.

A rustling came from behind her but Yue barely heard it. She shook her head a little before tucking into the meal that was still piping hot.
Ah, the food was nice.

b a s i c s

Description:
Mels is a very short (4 feet eleven inches) girl with mismatched eyes (one is blue and one is brown). She had long blond hair and pale skin. She normally keeps hair over one eye (either) as to avoid people staring at her. That isn't because she doesn't want attention (quite the opposite), but rather that she doesn't want too many to remember her.
Character name:
Melanie Anna Rogers.
"Mels."
Gender:
Female.
"Oi! What kind of a question is that?!"
Age:
16.
"Old enough to know not to tell strangers personal information."
Dominant element:
Light, she has very little control over it.
"It's pathetic and ironic. Oh, my language arts teacher would be so proud."
Power:
Freezing time, but only for 63.141926 seconds at a time, with intervals of about five minutes in between.
"Useful if you want to make a quick get away."
Personality in 2 sentences or less:
Treacherous, street-smart, charming.
"Don't trust me."
Example/link of you writing:
{I hope its alright if I just write something on the spot, this is my first time using this character.}

Mels, quite a bit snake like, and very little like her own sign of zodiac, proceeded through the crowded streets, her hair blocking her vision on the right side. She had chosen to hide her brown eye this time, as the left was side everything was going on at. She was being chased, but they'd never approach from her right side: that was the zone of destruction on that side was way too extreme for most anyone to pass there.
She had lost track of who was chasing her this time. Maybe someone who she stole from. Maybe someone who wanted to use her. Maybe one she herself had used. Maybe someone else. She didn't want to resort to using her power, punching them hard enough to knock out a tooth or two and running before her time was out. That was drastic measures. Getting someone else to do it for her was better. Good thing she knew the perfect person to manipulate. A strong, naive, gullible male. An ox, for sure.

e x t r a s

Zodiac:
Year of the rat.
"In the folk tale, the rat got first place by tricking the ox into letting her ride on his back. "
Song that best describes your character:
Oh, no. by Marina and the diamonds.
Dominant color:
Yellow and grey.
Other:
Nope.
Chuck Testa.
