Dan smiled at Shalah, replying, "Nice to meet you to, um.. Shalah." He winced as he stumbled over her name. It was very exotic, and he found it difficult to say. He nodded at the young man behind her, too, before responding to Shalah once again. "Well, if you're looking for a safe place to stay, then you've definitely got it right," he said quickly, glancing around. Many of the morphs had followed Alex, Jackson, and Nudge inside, excluding Kai, himself, and Ransom. He'd lost sight of Syk in the whirlwhind of activity, feeling a pang of guilt, but he returned his gaze to the man behind Shalah. "I suppose you're looking for the same. Are you travelling together?"

Ransom hummed, and kinda hung back a little. She morphed, and sat in her ocelot form, swishing her tail back and forth, waiting for something to do. She really didnt want to interupt Daniel talking to the newcomers, but she really wanted to introduce ehrself. When people looked at her they think shes one of those freaks, since her hair is purple, but she wants to prove them wrong by introducing ehrself.

She smiled and mused softly, holding back a giggle. She could hear the hesitation he had with her name. "You'll get used to it. Think ta-da with an s-h and an l. Shalah!" Her smile was still friendly and bright. It had to be one of her better features. She felt a slight weight removed from her shoulders as Daniel confirmed this was the place she was looking for. When he mentioned the boy beside her and traveling together, she spoke up once more. "Oh, no. We've never met. Until about thirty seconds ago when we nearly collided." She shifted her eyes slightly to see the girl that was standing behind him had morphed to an ocelot. She gave a small smirk thinking of her own feline within. She suddenly had the urge to shift.

He noticed Daniels nod and again smiled softly, giving a short nod back in response. His hair was slowly falling over his eyes as he stood there listening. It was almost like Daniel was trying to include him, but the woman was still just chatting away. Hearing the question, Kiran shook his head rather than answering verbally. He did, however, give a small smile when Shalah mentioned the earlier near-collision. If he recalled, she had snapped at him as if it was his fault she just stopped for no reason in the path. Not really wanting to argue about it, he kept quiet. Something caught his eye and he looked to see an ocelot sitting slightly behind Daniel. Confused, he stared for a moment. 'Was someone standing there or has she always been there?' He questioned his thoughts silently.

A high pitched bleat in greeting left Pippin's small physique as Chance greeted her, and then introduced her to the others. She bleated again and pushed Jackson's leg with her head as he greeted her, and Pippin turned her head to look at their new apartment. Most of the apartments were the same; and her's wasn't too far down, but it was rare that she actually slept there. Usually, she went and slept in David's room, or they'd watch a movie together. The minimal socialising she did was good, and she didn't mind not talking to the others often.

The door was slightly ajar and with a good shove, the small doe had the door to their new apartment open, and she bleated again; a request for them to go inside. There was no use standing out in the hallway, it was time to allow the newcomers to adjust to their new home. Alex murmured a thank-you to Chance, and Pippin turned back, tilting her head to the side as Alex spoke to her. Ah, it didn't matter so much that she'd growled at her; she was only protecting her family, after all. Pippin made her way over, giving Alex a friendly nudge and looking up at her, black gaze calm. The little doe wagged her tail, before turning her head to the apartment again, though her attention was removed from that and onto Nudge and a fox, whom upon closer inspection, the doe recognised as Scott.

The two seemed to be enjoying one another's company, and Pippin twitched her ears a little, sitting down by Alex's feet and watching the small child and fox, a somewhat amused expression on her face.

Scott was happy. No one ever pet or scratched him in his fox form before. To him it felt amazing. He didn't really care that he was much older than her. Age didn't really matter when it came to having a bit of fun. Eventually he'd have to introduce himself as a human later, but he was enjoying himself too much. He leaned into her head as her fingers ran through his pelt, and he emitted a purr-like sound, almost like a cat. (yes, foxes can do that, I looked it up).

"Alright, got it," Dan said, internally wishing that he could fall asleep on his feet. "So, if you would like to stay, we could definitely work something out. I think we have two of the apartments on the second floor open that would be perfect for you guys. Um, no key is required; all of the doors open by pushing." He quietly walked towards the building, motioning for them all to follow him. He was aware that he was rushing through things, and probably should ask them a couple more questions, but it was later than midday by now, and he still had to check the fence. They seemed genuine, even if the man hadn't talked yet. He would talk to them later, anyways. He quickly walked up the stairs after entering the condo, trying to ignore the crack in the ceiling from water damage, and walking through the hallway to the two empty apartments.

Ransom padded behing Daniel silently, like some sort of obedient cat. Her tail was swishing back and forth, while her ears where flicking back and forth, trying to pick up some sound. She looked back at the people, but turned around and just followed Daniel into the appartment. Lucky their door was working, ehrs was jammed and she ahd to jump through the window.

She smiled brightly and nodded. She wasn't sure how she felt about living in a run down looking building, but it would have to do. It was better than the streets. She missed her luxurious home by the coast, but she knew she couldn't survive there on her own. "Is there a schedule we need to follow? Set eating hours or sleeping hours?" Talking of food made her kind of hungry. "And speaking of eating, will we all be dining together or just help ourselves? Sorry for the many questions. I would just hate to break a rule without knowing of it first." Which was true. As much as a flirt and outgoing and all those things as Shalah was, she hated breaking the rules.

His fascination with the ocelot grew as she followed Daniel like a slave. It was intriguing and interesting. He watched her tail swish and twitch. He smiled lightly. Feeling odd staring at this stranger, he shook his head and followed behind Daniel, Shalah, and the ocelot. Entering the building, he smiled a little bigger. This seemed like a paradise for him. There were walls and doors and he would soon have one to himself. He'd stopped listening to the girl when they'd entered the apartments. This was definitely more than he already had. He hoped this place would keep him safe and help him forget his horrid past. Looking around, he could see some damage, but nothing that put their lives in danger. He hoped to see his room soon so he could make it his own. He liked having things a certain way. He was...odd in his own way, but a good way.

Dan quickly opened the doors to both apartments. The two were facing each other, and were mirrors of the other, as all the rooms in this place were, excluding the penthouse. That was mostly used as a storing area, however. "Hm? Oh, there's no real schedule. Just make sure to check in with the others, see what's going on that day. You can catch your own food, farm it, or just take a couple of cans from storage. You have a kitchen, so that should be fine," he said, unfocused and dazed. "You can come up to my room, on the fourth floor, if you have any questions. That's about it, I think; no rules, except don't leave the territory without checking in with me. I can't have anyone hurt on my watch," he said, smiling slightly. "Have fun, I suppose? Sorry about the rush; I have a couple of things I have to do before the sun sets," he apologized, knowing that he was rushing. He had to go find Syk, too, to say sorry for completely abandoning her.
