As soon as the food appeared on the table, it was every man for himself. Quinn was one of those boys who could eat for his country, and that was exactly what he intended to do. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Niamh watching him in awe as he piled his plate with only the first round of food that he intended to eat; he was never hungrier on any other day of the year than the first day of school, "Don't look at me like that, Niamh, I'm starving," he whispered to her, wiping his hands off on a napkin before grabbing his cutlery. His sister merely shook her head and got herself a decent sized meal to last her the rest of the evening, "It's amazing how you even stuff yourself in front of your girlfriend. Mum says you'll get fat." He rolled his eyes; his mother was always telling him to cut down on the food, while his father encouraged it. 'He's still growing!' was always the argument, though Quinn probably only stayed fairly slim because of the amount of work he put into burning all the food he ate off.
