__ She didn't enjoy leaving her parents, they were after all probably bound to fall under the poverty level without her helping by getting odd jobs. It just made her hair stand on end to think she was poor, she had spent a nice amount of money on her piercings, but her parents didn't know where she got the money until the found some missing. She often stole money from her parents to do what some would call ' stupid ' things like her piercings, exotic animals, and things along those lines. You could say they were lucky they were magical because without this school Rosabella would probably be in a jumpsuit in a Juvenal Correction Facility. So Hogwarts was a little vacation for her parents, because they wouldn't have to worry about the wild child. She never really was told by her parents that they didn't mind her leaving for a long period of time, let alone tell her they enjoyed it. They didn't tell there daughter though because they thought she might take it the wrong way.

___ Her cherry red hair covered one of her eyes as she had her head angled how to the floor of the train. The compartment door was closed, and no one else was there but herself, she liked to be alone. Yet a black rodent with a pink scar on its back inched its way from beneath the seat and onto the girls lap. This girl is Rosabella Raven slaughter, at the age of 13 she is a third year chaser in the noble house of Slytherin. She preferred to take the journey alone , besides her rat Scar who was always sniffing around compartments for any clumsy kids who had dropped there food. She was going to the magical school called Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, Hogwarts for short. The trains large wheels ran smoothly along the track as the long journey was ending as the train gave an abrupt stop. She grabbed her things quickly before busting quickly from the door, ignoring any other kids, she would just shoulder them lightly to the side. Now her little rat followed her like a cat, weaving among feet as he made his way from the train with Rosabella.

__ She made her way to the carriages, they looked like they were pulled by nothing, almost as if the air was pulling them. she rushed to the first empty carriage, making her belongings take up the seats by scattering them around. So no one came with her, it was just a silent lonely ride there. It seemed like the ride was faster than the last two times she had done it, each time she knew it would get shorter and shorter, like each ride was closer to her last. she had to admit, she would miss this place, it was so big and full of the same type of kids as her, witches and wizards. It was rather odd, when she was little she dreamed of being magical, now for it to only become true made her head spin with shock. As the carriage stopped, she gather the belonging that were spread out among the seats and hopped out with a frown. She kind of wanted company, someone to walk and talk to, but she did have her rat. grabbing its skinny black body, she placed him gently on her shoulder and he sat happily there, the breeze ruffling his soft fur. As she walked her long cherry red hair that reached her waist was blown behind her like a flame as she walked silently to the school "Another year, more drama" she muttered louder than she had intended.

    {ooc: It'll be accepted as soon as you supply a picture. Zoe12123, I need your forms if you wish to keep your reservations on the other three Houses. Also, dismounting the Carriages and entering Hogwarts at this moment is fine as well.

      Edit: Sorry, Love. I forgot I'd already accepted your character. I just saw the basic info. and thought it was a character form. u.u Dear me, I'm tired.

Shay nodded in response. "I've never heard of someone getting the choice like that before. Besides the famous Harry Potter. Though it may have something to do with the fact that I'm surrounded by die-hard Slytherins all the time" she said with a wry smile. With every passing year, more and more thoughts like that had been worming their way into her mind. It was strange- it wasn't as if she didn't feel like she belonged in Slytherin. On the contrary, she couldn't imagine herself anywhere else. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she turned back to Sam, only to notice that the carriage had stopped. Glancing sideways, she belatedly realized that they'd arrived. Getting up, she followed Sam off the platform. Shay nodded in the direction of the Great Hall, a silent let's go.

Grinning cheerfully, Jeremy waved at Bella. "How are you Bella? I didn't see you on the trainnn..." he trailed off when he noticed that she wasn't listening. Turning to his other side to talk to Alice, he saw that she, too, wasn't looking very talkative. Mouth still open in preparation to talk, he faced Lorna, who was busy nursing wounds from her owl. "Er." he said, in the hopes that someone would start up a conversation and quench the awkward atmosphere. Sadly, nothing happened. So he simply sat there like a lump of coal, scratching a small dent on Leon's cage. Had that dent always been there? Or was it just his mind making up things for him to notice so that he'd have something to do?

Suddenly jerking forward, Jeremy looked around in surprise. Thankfully, the carriage had just pulled up to the castle, and he saw a steady stream of students filing into the doors. The warm glow from inside was a welcome change from the dark evening. "Oh, we're here already?" Clambering out, he faced the three girls from the ground. "You all coming?"

:: Quinn Parker :: Pureblood :: 18 :: Hufflepuff ::

Quinn groaned inwardly and rolled his eyes when Nick voiced a challenge; being in the company of a hot headed Slytherin was one thing, but having to deal with her being wound up by a Gryffindor as well? Somebody please cut him a break. The carriage rolled to a halt and he all too eagerly scrambled from the carriage, narrowly avoiding hitting his head as he stood. He hooked his arm around Nick's and dragged him off, steering clear of Lana so that neither of them did anything stupid, and maintaining a firm grip on his Gryffindor's arm, "One day, Nick," he sighed, shaking his head, "One day you are gonna get yourself into a world of trouble and I'm not gonna be there to save your sorry ass." He led him up to the Great Hall, nodding at people he knew as he passed them and they greeted him, occasionally throwing in a 'hey, how are ya?'

Samantha Monroe ~ 16 ~ Gryffindor

Sam shrugged a little, "My mum always told me that the Sorting Hat takes what you want into consideration. I figured that's just how it worked." She felt the carriage stop and smiled a little, swinging the door open and hopping out. Acknowledging Shay's nod, she nodded in return, and began to walk alongside her up to the Great Hall. She'd never so much as been acquainted with a Slytherin before - as were the social norms in the school - but it never occurred to her that being seen with Shay was anything she should worry about. She received a few odd looks from other Gryffindors she knew, but shook them off. Shay was a person, and no one she had the right to judge just by her house. Besides, she was pretty cool.

    Alice DeWitt x Lorna, Jeremy and Bella x Tired

      When the carriage came to an abrupt end, she hadn't realised that it had even started. Alice sat there for a moment, trying to remember it starting, but came up with no such thing as she was lost in thought about her up comming classes, and the Quidditch team. She sighed and followed Jeremy out of the carriage, jumping down, and stretching her legs, while looking to see a steady stream of students getting out of their carriages. Alice ran her hand through her hair, which made it a bit difficult since it was tied in a fishtail braid that she had forgotten about. With one foot in front of the other, she headed to the Great Hall for the Sorting and then Dinner.

    "Oh but Lana, I know I can kick your-" Nick called after her, a playful grin tugged onto his lips as he was interrupted by Flora - who popped up out of nowhere, it seemed - and Quinn. He looked to the Hufflepuff girl, that cocky, competitive streak showing in his confident smirk. "A good duel never did anybody any harm - besides, I'm just giving her an outlet for her anger." he said in an innocent tone, shrugging his shoulders with a sly grin. Nick wasn't too shabby at Defense Against the Darks Arts, but his confidence was sky-high and over-exaggerated. He was dragged away by Quinn, Flora alongside them as the headed through the Entrance Hall and into the Great Hall. A laugh escaped his lips as he nudged his friend playfully, "Quinny, I'm a big boy now, I can take of myself, y'know?" he teased, rustling his dark hair as he strode ahead of the pair, "Party in the Room of Requirement at 10 - don't be late." he announced in a hushed tone to the pair, winking at Flora before turning swiftly on his heel and bobbing over to the Gryffindor table. Adrenaline had coursed through him, but hunger was starting to settle. In Nick's mind, the Sorting took ages, even though he cheered and whistled enthusiastically with the others in his house as firsties were Sorted in Gryffindor. When that was all done and dusted, the teachers made their announcements and the feast appeared on sweeping platters along the tables. Practically drooling, Nick lunged for a platter of chicken and piled his plate up with all sorts of food. He was eating away happily as he looked about the Great Hall, catching sight of Lana at the Slytherin table, and Flora and Quinn over by the Hufflepuff table. He saw a few others he recognized, but he was too interested in consuming as much food as possible to really look at them just yet.

    Sighing, Kiara nodded her agreement, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Yes, but at least your uniform is acceptable 98% of the time. These hooligans run about year-round with ties half-an-inch long, shirt tails hanging out, top buttons undone.. honestly, it's just sloppy. And tacky. Very tacky." she tapped her fingers lightly over the cover of her book, observing her surroundings. More and more people filed in and eventually the teachers tapped for silence. Turning to look to the door, she peered at all the firsties as the filed in with a nervous air. Just by looking at them, she tried to pick out the Ravens - a girl with mousy-brown hair and freckles, a gangly boy with a pointed nose.. it was all guesswork, of course. The hall watched in silence as the first years got up and the Sorting finally began. The first to be Sorted went to Slytherin, the hat barely touching the snide girl's head before placing her. This all continued much the same, a few students scattered about in each house. She was right about the lanky boy and the freckled girl, even though the hat hesitated on them and several others. Joining in with the clapping (although not as enthusiastically as others), Kiara nodded as each new student joined her house. When at last the Sorting was finished and everybody was settled, the teachers made their usual announcements, and then dinner was served. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until a long plate of beef appeared before her and she made a lunge for it. Piling food onto her dish, she read as she ate, occassionally pausing to flick over the page. "Which subjects did you choose for your OWLs, then?" she asked Colin, peering at him curiously.

:: Quinn Parker :: Pureblood :: 18 :: Hufflepuff ::

Quinn rolled his eyes and shoved Nick playfully away as they parted ways, winking at him teasingly before turning his back to his friend and making his way to the Hufflepuff table. Naturally, he found himself taking a seat by Alice, and though he was insanely hungry, he turned his attention to the front of the hall so as to watch the sorting. Sorting was, in basic terms, one of the most boring things to watch in the world ever. He'd heard Nick toss about the muggle term 'like watching paint dry' every now and again, and decided that that term most definitely fitted this situation. This year, however, his interest was peaked due to the fact that his two younger sisters were being sorted. Niamh often said about how she wanted to be a Hufflepuff like Quinn and their father, but Hannah was dead set on being a Gryffindor like their mother. Unsurprisingly, they both got into the houses they wanted to be in, and Niamh took a spot next to Quinn as soon as she'd been sorted. Now to wait for the rest of the firsties to be done, and they'd finally get to eat.

    Alice DeWitt x Hufflepuff x Tired

      Alice stopped in front of the Hogwarts doors, and looked at the inside of the Great Hall, smiling as the candle sticks levitated and flew around. She smiled at all the life in the castle, and went to join her friends at the Hufflepuff table, sitting down and watched the Sorting. Hufflepuff received multiple first years this year, and she cheered with all her House members as their names were called, and followed by the Sorting Hat shouting 'Hufflepuff'. She cheered especially loud when one of Quinn's sisters had been sorted into Hufflepuff.

      When the Sorting was done, she listened to the teachers give their speeches, before the Headmaster allowed the students to eat. Alice dished some food onto her plate and conversed with her friends at the table.
