:: Quinn Parker :: Pureblood :: 18 :: Hufflepuff ::

Quinn watched the Slytherin girl cautiously, recognising her as Lana Williams and deciding it was probably definitely in his best interest to stay quiet. Nick, of course, had to say something and Quinn merely rolled his eyes. "Are you alright?" He tried, his Irish accent dripping from the words of his ridiculous question. Clearly, this girl was not alright. Beyond p***ed off was probably an accurate description, but some stupid thing in the back of Quinn's mind was telling him that if he came across as if he didn't hate her (which in honesty he didn't. She'd never wronged him) then maybe she'd relax just a little bit, and he wouldn't have to be concerned about whether he was going to make it to the castle alive or dead. Nick, he decided, was probably going to be dead.

Lana's eyes flitted to the Hufflepuff boy, and tried to refrain from snapping an answer back. He was at least trying to be nice to her, and she could appreciate that. Wasn't going to stop her from hexing the Gryffindor into oblivion, though. She waited a few seconds for her mind to stop racing before she answered, even managing to force a smile on her face. "I'm fine." Her moment of practiced calm didn't expand so far as to thank the guy for asking, but at least he was trying. She took out and fiddled with her wand again, waiting for the Gryffindor to react to her earlier, more snappy comment.

Flora Archers

Flora looks up at the carriage containing Nick, Quinn, and Lana. She waves up at them with a smile, though doubting any of them know who she is. She continues to walk and pick flowers with Magnolia meowing constantly. She eventually hands the cat a flower to distract her and get some peace and quiet. She hums a Beatles song her muggle grandmother played for her under her breath. She eventually realizes she is leaving a trail of flowers from her hair behind her and combs them all out and into her bag. She grins when she sees the castle gates a bit ahead.

Nick simply blinked, rolling his eyes at her response. Then Quinn spoke, and he spluttered slightly as she replied in an almost-calm sort of tone. The Hufflepuff had basically said what he'd just asked, albeit a tad nicer. The song on his iPod changed to 'Best Song Ever' by One Direction, a drastic change in genre that made him cringe inwardly. Sure, it was catchy and all that, but he'd just been listening to alternative music and it was quite a jump. "No need to be so snappy," he muttered, though it came out slightly louder than he'd intended due to the blasting music in his ears. Eyeing Lana, who had stowed her wand away, he felt quite certain that she was in the mood for throwing a nice curse at somebody. Once again, he voiced this concern. "If you're gonna hex somebody, Lana, I'd happily let you take your anger out on me if we weren't cramped in here." he added mentally, 'just because we both know I'd wipe the floor with you'. The carriage rolled on by, passing a girl. The one Alice had introduced to himself and Quinn earlier.. Flora, wasn't it? So she had escaped the mass of firsties. By the time his mind registered this, she was practically out of sight when he grinned out the window to her. The carriage came to a halt soon enough, and Nick scrambled out with little grace, though he soon straightened himself up as his feet met the ground. "I'll see you after the feast for that duel, Lana." he called, hesitating briefly for Quinn, even though they'd have to sit at different tables in the Great Hall anyway.

Flora Archers

Flora quickly catches up with Quinn and Nick. "What was that all about? Do you have a death wish, Nick? Not saying that you're not a good dueler because I wouldn't know but still, you shouldn't go around throwing challenges at people. Especially people who are majorly ticked off!" She says, her eyes wide. She shakes her head and signals for Magnolia to follow her.

ᴄᴏʟɪɴ ᴅᴜʀᴀɴᴛ _ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ ᴘʀᴇғᴇᴄᴛ _ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴋɪᴀʀᴀ

Kiara seemed rather unimpressed with the threat of half eaten first years but Colin was still fairly certain he shouldn't encourage homicidal tendencies in his familiar. It just seemed so ghastly and unlady-er un-lady serpent like? Well either way he would be giving Toni a stern talking to about proper dietary habits regardless and he said as much to Kiara, "I still think it's not right to allow her to cultivate such beastly habits. It feels like I'm doing a poor job or something guiding her into a morally sound snake-hood. " Colin said ending rather distracted as he thought about whether or not morally sound snake-hood sounded like a proper thing to worry over. Perhaps he would do an article about it. The moral fiber of familiars or something. He was rather absent-minded as he made his way toward the Ravenclaw table next to Kiara but he did tune back in to catch the comment about the younger years being terribly slovenly dressed. He blinked and peered around and Kiara did make a point. His mother would have hexed him with boils (in a discrete place of course) if he ever went out of the house with such lack of care for his appearance. Not that he was always the picture of good taste especially once the tests and deadlines started rolling in but he always attempted to start out on a proper note. "Your right. Mind I'm not perhaps the best one to talk as I think my uniform gets positively embarrassing around about Mid-Terms and I'm sure I'll be lucky to remember to put proper pants on come O.W.L.S but to not even bother on the first day seems a bit sloppy." Colin said agreeably. Although he shuddered to think of the horror that would be the O.W.Ls but at least he knew he's be in good company as he rather thought the entirety of the Ravenclaw House was liable to go a little mad anyway.

lana williams - slytherin - tagged: quinn, nick

Lana raised an eyebrow at the annoying Gryffindor as he talked again. She had resigned herself to the fact she was going to attack him at some point, but she wanted to wait until she wasn't in such a cramped position. She didn't want to admit it, but what the boy was saying about him beating her was probably true. Charms had never been her strong point and she'd barely managed an E in her Defense Against the Dark Arts OWL. There was reasons she didn't go picking fights with people, and that was one of them. Now, the Gryffindor had run headfirst into one. Idiot. She barely noticed the girl walking alongside the carriage, she was gone from sight soon after anyway. She pushed her hand through her hair, a release of anxious energy. Her stubborn side was refusing to back down from the fight, but her cool, calculating side was urging her to do so. That is if the Gryffindor was even being serious about the duel. She climbed down after him, and grinned. "Fine then. If you think you're good enough to beat me." She patted his shoulder before walking off, her eyes scanning for someone remotely on the same boat as her. Carlisle or Shay, maybe. She shook her hair out of the hood of her robes as she walked into the Entrance Hall. She barely stopped to look around her as she pushed the doors to the Great Hall open and headed straight for the Slytherin table. The prospect of food cheered her up; and she even managed her normal self-assured smirk as she sat herself down.

Rosabella  Raven  Slaughter
Age;;13
Birthdate;;February 3
Gender;;Female
Nationality;;Russian/British
Orientation;;Heterosexual
House;;Slytherin.
__ She didn't enjoy leaving her parents, they were after all probably bound to fall under the poverty level without her helping by getting odd jobs. It just made her hair stand on end to think she was poor, she had spent a nice amount of money on her piercings, but her parents didn't know where she got the money until the found some missing. She often stole money from her parents to do what some would call ' stupid ' things like her piercings, exotic animals, and things along those lines. You could say they were lucky they were magical because without this school Rosabella would probably be in a jumpsuit in a Juvenal Correction Facility. So Hogwarts was a little vacation for her parents, because they wouldn't have to worry about the wild child. She never really was told by her parents that they didn't mind her leaving for a long period of time, let alone tell her they enjoyed it. They didn't tell there daughter though because they thought she might take it the wrong way.

___ Her cherry red hair covered one of her eyes as she had her head angled how to the floor of the train. The compartment door was closed, and no one else was there but herself, she liked to be alone. Yet a black rodent with a pink scar on its back inched its way from beneath the seat and onto the girls lap. This girl is Rosabella Raven slaughter, at the age of 13 she is a third year chaser in the noble house of Slytherin. She preferred to take the journey alone , besides her rat Scar who was always sniffing around compartments for any clumsy kids who had dropped there food. She was going to the magical school called Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, Hogwarts for short. The trains large wheels ran smoothly along the track as the long journey was ending as the train gave an abrupt stop. She grabbed her things quickly before busting quickly from the door, ignoring any other kids, she would just shoulder them lightly to the side. Now her little rat followed her like a cat, weaving among feet as he made his way from the train with Rosabella.

__ She made her way to the carriages, they looked like they were pulled by nothing, almost as if the air was pulling them. she rushed to the first empty carriage, making her belongings take up the seats by scattering them around. So no one came with her, it was just a silent lonely ride there. It seemed like the ride was faster than the last two times she had done it, each time she knew it would get shorter and shorter, like each ride was closer to her last. she had to admit, she would miss this place, it was so big and full of the same type of kids as her, witches and wizards. It was rather odd, when she was little she dreamed of being magical, now for it to only become true made her head spin with shock. As the carriage stopped, she gather the belonging that were spread out among the seats and hopped out with a frown. She kind of wanted company, someone to walk and talk to, but she did have her rat. grabbing its skinny black body, she placed him gently on her shoulder and he sat happily there, the breeze ruffling his soft fur. As she walked her long cherry red hair that reached her waist was blown behind her like a flame as she walked silently to the school "Another year, more drama" she muttered louder than she had intended.
