Settling down comfortably in his seat, Nick patiently awaited the arrival of his buddies. The first to appear was the lighthouse herself, who sat down beside him and eased her fishtail braid free of its bonds. Following this, Quinny arrived and sat down by the window. Watching in amusement as the pureblood pulled an iPod from his jacket pocket, Nick couldn't help but smirk. For quite a while he had been trying to convince the wizard to invest in the device - apparently, he had finally snapped. "Who are you listening to?" he asked, a smirk playing on his lips as he peered at the Hufflepuff. "Quinn's finally decided that I was right about Muggle music - that is, they make better music than wizards, usually. Quinny here's finally bought himself an iPod, too, handy little thing." he explained to Alice, trying to guess in his head what kind of music was on the iPod. Acoustic stuff, probably. Nick's own collection of music was a whole jumble of genres, mainly consisting of punk, rock and alternative, with the occasional indie beat and a handful of tacky pop songs. In fact, he more-than-often broke into song at the worst of times - usually empty corridors, or cramped dining halls, High School Musical style. "I got your picture, I'm comin' with you, dear Maria, count me in~" he sang playfully, pretending to play a mini air-guitar as he began singing the whole flipping song - All Time Low's finest.

Kiara listened, though to anybody who barely knew her, they would have thought that she was ignoring Colin's rambling. Her nose was tucked away in that book of her yet again, though a very small smirk tugged on her lips at the prefect's response. He always seemed to pull odd topics into conversation - and often, they were odd, irrelevant topics. "Your mother is a very practical woman," she replied both honestly and lightly, a hint of joking in her comment. Naturally, Kiara had met Colin's mother, although that was a good few years ago, and while the woman was quite a typical pureblood, Kiara had to admit that she was very efficient and proper. She was just about to slide open the compartment door when it slammed open itself, causing her to look up from her book and frown. Standing in the door frame was Newton Ackerman, a seventh year Ravenclaw who always seemed to be as dramatic as Colin - which was definitely saying something. He'd grown a good few inches taller than her over the summer, so she was practically a shrimp in comparison to him. His sudden entrance spooked Toni, who writhed and hissed in her enclosure until Colin managed to calm her down. Instead of looking at her book, Kiara glanced between Newton and Colin, mentally trying to decide who had been more dramatic in their entrances. Next thing she knew, she was engulfed in a bone-crushing hug, courtesy of the seventh year himself. Gasping at the impact, Kiara knew better than to try and wiggle free, so she simply stood there for a long moment, trying to regain the oxygen that had been knocked out of her. When at last Newton pulled away, she saw his frog, Schrodinger, in his hand. Like Colin, he rambled, the words spilling out of his lips at a rapid speed. Unlike her companions, Kiara had always stumbled over words, despite knowing the majority of the words in the English language. "I'm fine," she replied bluntly to Newton's list of questions, laughing awkwardly as she finally managed to regain a normal breathing rate. She wasn't going to correct him, even though she really wanted to, but 'light years' was a measurement of distance rather than actual time, so therefore he had not seen her in 'two months' rather than 'light years'. She couldn't exactly squish a word in until he stopped talking, and when he did, Kiara's usually-dull eyes lit up at the aspect of new books. And not just any books - restricted section books. She didn't bother to question Newton on how he'd managed to gain access to that particular part of the library, so she simply smiled and nodded. "Well, if you're not going to continue breaking compartment doors along the way, come with us to the prefect's compartment - we get dibs on the food from the trolley, apparently."

[[First post, here we come! Will post for my others once I actually start their forms.]]

"Shut up, Harrison." Lorna hissed to her short eared owl, as she trundled through King's Cross. It appeared that most people were used to random teenagers walking through the station with owls and carts topped with strange things, so she got nary a look. Her owl screeched again, and she kicked the side of the cart. He ruffled his wings and cooed softly, before settling down and flapping his wings a few times. She took a cursory glance around before charging through the barrier, the bitter smell of smoke meeting her nostrils as she arrived to see the Hogwarts Express. She sighed, seeing mothers and fathers hugging their children goodbye. It seemed that after six years, her parents were content to simply drop her off at the front of the station and zoom off to do their parental business. Lorna leaned against her cart, looking around for any of her friends. She reached through the bars to Harrison's cage, and he nipped her fingers. The nip was sharp, and bitter. "Damn owl." she muttered, as she cradled her fingers close to her chest. The thing was evil, she supposed that was what she got after the poor thing was handled by her six year old brother...also known as the animal hugger. She dropped off her luggage, and boarded the train. She found a seat in an empty compartment, and left the sliding door open. She was used to letting everyone know that anyone was welcome to sit next t to her, she wasn't partial when it came to train rides to and from Hogwarts.

(So so so so so sooooo sorry for not posting beforehand, school started today.)

Flora Archers

Flora sits cross legged in an empty compartment with a large book sitting on her lap. Her back is bent as she reads intently, occasionally look up and out the window. Her cat, Magnolia, cuddles into her skirt, purring slightly. Flora has her long dark brown hair in a braid with multi-colored flowers tucked into it. Her flowers are her pride and joy. She finally puts down her book and lifts Magnolia up by her underarms. "Ready to go back for another year, Maggie?" She says to the meowing Siamese cat. Flora smiles and places Magnolia on her lap. She looks around and the empty compartment and frowns.
"Y'know, Maggie, I do really enjoy your company but sometimes I wish you weren't my only friend." She says to the cat who at this point has fallen asleep.

Scratching around Karma's ears, Shay grinned at their bantering. The two moody upperclassmen really took pleasure in annoying the hell out of each other. There is only a thin line between love and hate after all.

Smirking, she turned and looked expectantly at Carlisle as well. "You can't possibly expect to have us ladies pay, can you?" She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, exaggerating the action. "I think I can smell the trolley coming. Good thing too, because I am just starving!" Just then, Karma meowed loudly. The little bastard was hungry, only an hour or two after she'd fed him. He was on the path to becoming quite pudgy- the cat ate almost anything he could, and preferred human food. "Aww, and who could forget the poor little kitty-cat? You should probably get something for Karma too."

ᴄᴏʟɪɴ ᴅᴜʀᴀɴᴛ _ ʀᴀᴠᴇɴᴄʟᴀᴡ ᴘʀᴇғᴇᴄᴛ _ ᴡɪᴛʜ ɴᴇᴡᴛᴏɴ & ᴋɪᴀʀᴀ

Colin was to be honest a little taken aback at the care the other boy showed even if it was a touch stilted. Most people went straight to the mockery or the looking long suffering and exasperated when he did his customary flail and tumble routine. But then again the older student didn't know him all that well so that could be it. Something about decency or something, not that Colin was an expert but he had observed enough socially well-adjusted folks in action to see that the guy was being nice. So Colin did his best not to blow it by being his usual spazzy self and gave the boy a smile, "Eh? No I'm fine. Really happens all the time. Truly it's a bit of a running joke within the fifth years I'm told, quiet hilarious." He said with a cheery smile. He did give his snake a look as if to say don't ruin a potential friendship by being contrary. Antoinette considered him coolly before very obviously tapping on her enclosure. "Er right, well that's Toni she's a dear really. A bit contrary and not overly prone to making friends but a right snarky er snake and a darling to converse with. I keep hoping I'll meet a parseltongue one day just because I've alway-" before he could get started on another tangent Colin was taken aback a second time when he saw the older student go on his own tangent. Well what do you know apparently his rather colorful nature wasn't a curse set upon his Mother by a vengeful hag as Auntie Marguerite was always fond of saying. He would have to make sure to mention that next time he saw her.

As it was he had the rather novel circumstance of watching a version of what he himself looked like on a regular basis. It was actually quiet intriguing and Colin rather zoned out on the conversation until he heard something about crazy books and he perked up.
"Ooh do you mean those delightful Muggle books Kiara is always reading. Fascinating all of them. Mother wouldn't approve of me reading them of course but I always transfigure the cover before going home and well they're always going on about me finding some kind of properly devious mindset so I imagine they'd actually be almost pleased at the show of rebellion." he said cheerfully. He brightened further when the mention of food and the prefect compartment was brought up. "Goodness we get food? Why do I not know this? Do you suppose there will be anything I can appease Toni with? She's going to sulk terribly if I don't let her out and I'll be blunt. She might attempt toadicide if I do. She seems to be of the rather odd opinion that attempting to eat other familiars is a fabulous way to make friends. I suspect her brother Drake taught her that. Terribly nasty disposition he has which Henri encourages shamelessly. Why I was forced to turn him into a origami figurine for a solid week once as he was teaching Toni terribly improper behavior, Drake not Henri. Mother did say I shouldn't humiliate my brother with transfiguration until I had properly mastered the art. Father was of the opinion that that's certainly what siblings were for, but I think he was jesting." Colin nodded seriously. Again loosing his train of thought and going on a tangent yet again.

Mildred Amata Glass
________________________________________
Basics
Name: "My name is Mildred Amata Glass. I go by Millie."
Age: "I'm 15, nearly 16. I'm in my 5th year."
Gender: "Is it really that hard to tell I'm a chick? Really?"
Blood "Pureblood. I'd kill myself if it were any other way."
________________________________________
Her Life
Mother: "Pansy Glass, once Pansy Parkinson. Heard of her?"
Father: "My father is Draco Malfoy, but he doesn't know that. The person who Pansy claims is my father is called Robert Glass. He's a filthy Muggle. I hate everything about him."
Siblings: "Haven't got any. There's only me. Pansy and Robert plan on having a child, however. A Half-blood. Just imagine..."
History: "I was the result of Pansy and Draco having a little affair. Apparently he was bored of his wife or something stupid. I've never actually met him. Don't wanna either. She found out she was pregnant but told her stupid Muggle boyfriend it was his. That's why they're married now. When I was growing up, Pansy used to hit me and yell at me. She hates me still, she just doesn't beat me because I fight back now. Robert always tried to be nice, but I'd rather cut his throat than fall for it. I hate my parents. All three."
________________________________________
Somewhere Deep
Personality: "I'm not really one to play nice. I'm a pretty cruel person, I like to hex and jinx Mudbloods and all those filthy disgraces. I'm nice towards the people of my house. Well, in my own way. I hate Hufflepuffs and most Ravenclaws, and Gryffindors just bother me. I'm ruthless and tough. That's why I'm a Beater." (Perhaps Millie has a softer side, deep inside her damaged shell...?)
Likes: "I like hexing, jinxing, Pure-bloods, the Dark Arts, You-Know-Who (I wish he were alive still), and Quidditch."
Dislikes: "I hate Mudbloods, Half-bloods, and Muggles. I also hate most students of other houses."

Carlisle Trindle x Lana and Shay x Giving... kind of

Carlisle lifted his hand and waved it casually. He was in a fairly good mood today - he enjoyed going to Hogwarts and would be disappointed when he finished with school there. "I'll pay for it, just try not to get everything on the trolley." Carlisle knew there was no use in asking them not to get too much, because he knew Lana would take as much as she wanted regardless. When the door opened and the trolley was there he sat in his spot to let his two team mates go first, and if they hadn't spent all his money he'd grab some as well.

      "
And don't worry about the practice slots, I'll do my best to get as many as I can. I can't have that little red headed prat from Hufflepuff winning now can I?" Carlisle muttered half to himself, and half to the two girls.

Alice DeWitt x With Quinn and Nick x Cheery mood, excited

Alice nodded as she listened to Nick explain what Quinn was listening to. The whole thing confused her, and she wondered how it worked and she would have asked, but she thought of a better question. She frowned and announced, "I'm going to see if I can find Flora. I haven't seen her at all yet." Alice slid her hands underneath Finnley who hooted in protest, and jumped off her leg and onto the train seat getting the hint that she wanted him off.

She stood up, opened the door and searched for the other member of Hufflepuff. She finally found the room with Flora, and cracked the door open before sticking her head into the compartment. "
Hey Flora, it's me Alice. I was wondering if you wanted to come sit with Quinn, Nick and I?" She felt the train lurch under her as it departed from Kings Cross, and heard the first years calling goodbye out the windows, and the station calling back. Alice grabbed the door frame to steady herself so she didn't fall over from the sudden movement under her.

    {ooc: Character accepted. c: And Zoe12123, I need to know what position other than Team Captain Lana plays for Gryffindor?}

(I'm SO so sorry for keeping you guys waiting! I feel guilty now! ;-; Anyway, croatoan, would it be alright if I just do the basics, and fill in the history and personality in detail later? I'm really short on time right now, and I don't want to lose my reserve. X3 Hopefully, I should most definetly finish it tomorrow. I could probably jump in the roleplay tonight if that's alright with you too. Also, I'm on mobile, so no picture, just description. c;)

Flora Archers

Flora looks surprised for a moment then smiles warmly at Alice. "Really? Wow, thanks." She says as she grabs Magnolia, who has begun to meow again, and her book. She walks over to Alice and follows her out of the compartment. She looks both delighted and confused about the fact she had just been invited to sit with the head of house who also happens to be two years older than her. She slightly adjusts her braid and from it falls one of the many mixed flowers tucked into it. "Oh darn... Accio Flower!" She says and the small white daisy flies into her open hand. She then hurries to catch back up to Alice.
