Arthur smiled a little as if he had just won a possible discussion and turned around walking over to where he had placed the ropes, "they're here" he said pointing over an grabbing some lengths of it and walking back over to her, "If you need to get some more make sure to tell me you had taken it just so I can keep track of how things are being spent on this ship"

Max grinned a little as he noticed the older boy's blush and so rested his head in his arms now looking on the captains direction and tilting his to the side some, "if she is the captain... Then I bet she had done quite a lot" he looked back at Trap then, "I think she should like older man though, sir" he said thoughtfully then fixing his hat on his head so it wasn't blocking his vision.

Trap shrugged, "I can meet any standards," he replied defiantly. He continued swabbing until he had finished with half the immense decks of the Bilge Rat. The boy slid casually to where Max does and leaned down to face him, "But don't you ruin my chances, eh?" he said teasingly.

Calypso ; 22 ; able sailor

Calypso took the ropes from Arthur and gave him a nod of thanks, "Thank you." she said softly while throwing the coils over her shoulder, she felt her dark hair fall from its knot on her head and she quickly put it back up in a few seconds. She stood there awkwardly, she felt like she owed something to the first mate in helping her, but the only thing she could offer was hard work and having everything in order.

Artephius raised his eyebrows at the Captain as he was spoken to. Ah, young Captain Fletcher. Probably given another 10 or 20 years she'd grow up to be a fine Captain, but her youth did occasionally betray her. She was smart enough to survive that long, if nothing else. "Well, everything continues to be in the shape of the ship. The rigging on the main sail will hold, but next time we dock it ought to be replaced in a few places. It isn't a dire need, however."

"The wind is favorable today, and we are on course," He nodded curtly and raised an eyebrow in a way that, were he not such a taciturn fellow, he was asking if the Captain needed anything more.

Jack finished the cleaning of her instruments and rose from her seat, returning them all back to her belt where they could hang in their proper, sinister looking location, and sidled over to the opposite side of the deck, regarding her crew mates coldly as she went. Captain chattered at everyone he could see as he curled up around her shoulders, long tail winding around her arm as she settled against the edge of the ship on the other side to stare out at the sea.

Maggie heard Trap's call before Artephius's answer, and turned slightly to give the cabin boy an odd look, raising one eyebrow. That lad always seemed to act strangely around her... but for the life of her, she couldn't figure out why. She turned back to Artephius and listened to his reply. She looked up into the rigging he had mentioned, squinting, and noted the few places where it was frayed with a thoughtful frown. "Quite right," she murmured, with a little nod. "How far is the nearest port, then?" she asked. If anyone would know, it would be the man who navigated the ship.

She turned as Tempest appeared, greeting her in turn, and listened as the master gunner reported on their lack of gunpowder. A worried frown creased her brow. If the rigging would hold, like Artephius said, then that wasn't such a pressing concern, but if they came into conflict with another ship without enough gunpowder... that could prove a problem. "Another thing we could get at port," she sighed, and looked back to Artephius, waiting for his answer.

"It's fine, no need for thanks" he said watching her for a moment before shaking his head and waving his hand dismissively, "go work" he said as him himself got back into doing the ship's inventory and worked also on placing things on a meticulous order down there though that was something he knew wouldn't exactly last long... as soon as the anyone would need something from down here they would end up messing it up all over again, with a sigh he closed hi eyes for a moment, he could almost hear hi father teasing him 'If you wanted order, son, then you shouldn't have joined a pirate ship', those would be the words... straight and without thinking twice. Dismissing his thoughts he turned his attention back to his work.

Max shrugged a little, he could meet that for sure... who knows? He was pretty much dosing off not exactly paying attention to anything when Trap came close, he felt the usual burning sensation on his cheeks when they became red with such tease, "O-oh... n-no sir... I-I wouldn't even think o-of such thing" he stuttered nervously looking up at him, "n-never"

I was only pulling your wooden leg!" the boy said with a laugh he hoisted his fellow up by the hand and handed him the waxing supplies; "Right then, let's get to work waxing this good ol' tub." Trap said while cleaning his soapy hands off on his tattered shirt.

Calypso vanished immediately up the stairs without a sound at his order, she used the extra ropes to tie up some old ropes that needed replacing and she thought weren't sturdy enough. The girl climbed up on one of the rope-made ladders, and started working.

"Trinidad would be our best bet. We could probably reach there the quickest and we would have the most ease of docking. It's no Tortuga on levels of scum and villainy lining the streets, but they have a certain...look away policy. Additionally, if you are looking to invest in illegal tobacco, this would be the place," Artepheius glanced briefly over at the Captain, then back at sea. Sound financial advice and sailing directions. "The winds are also in the correct direction for this location. There are a few more ports that are slightly closer, but they are less well stocked."

"Additionally, I'm sure you have a price on your head in at least a few of them, and they have much stricter laws," He raised his eyebrows again, as if to inquire if he was STILL being talked to.
