jake
Jake gave a quick glance at Zarah then put his attention to Jake again. "You never know, normally it's unexpected." Sure, he was trying to rattle his friend up about his girlfriend being pregnant and he was sure enjoying it. Jake stood suddenly, straightening himself a little. "You know what? I think I'm done for the day, I'm probably going to go home or crash on that cozy couch inside, whichever." He didn't feel tired much but he was surely done with this lame talk about his relationship issues.
Andy frowned at Jake's reply about being a parent. He had glanced at Zarah before talking to Andy. That meant he still hadn't bought his "she's just a friend" story. And he still wasn't sure himself if they were still just friends. But he could worry about that later. He and Zarah were figuring out Jake's relationship right now, not theirs. "Okay, yeah sure. Just um," he glanced at Zar, "Just go do that. Couch is inside, all yours. We're going be out shopping for pregnancy test just in case." Andy attempted at a joke while buying some time to find a way to get Jake's phone. They needed Roxanne's address and her phone number. They would come in real handy.
He smirked a little at that, walking over to the door and slowly opening it a little. "You best be, she seriously might ... uh ..." Jake was just teasing but why and how did this come up anyway? He shrugged it off and closed the screen door behind him, leading himself to the couch. He stuffed many pillows under his head and closed his eyes, listening closely to what Andy and Zarah were going to say about him and his laziness. He sighed and got more cozy.
Zarah tilted her head to the side again slightly, watching Jake with that same concerned expression on her face. So this was interesting to say the least, and Jake seemed to be both upset, and at the same time, completely exasperated with his situation. But she nodded her head when he made his remark about going into the living room again and crashing onto the couch - which she didn't really mind if he did. If Jake wanted to go crash on the couch, let him. Zarah looked over at Andy for a moment, then back over at Jake as the guitarist stood up and walked back inside the house. Zar waited for a moment before training her gaze back over onto Andy, watching him with a questioning look, silently asking him what it was they were supposed to do now.
Andy watched his friend tumble inside and onto the couch. It was usually him claiming the couches everywhere they went. The only chance that all five of them could get on a couch was a furniture store. And by that he meant one couch per band member. As the screen door swung closed, Andy's arm retreated from around her shoulders and he clasped her hands to help her up. He leaned down, his mouth hovering next to her ear. He realized this might look and feel intimate, their hands entwined and their faces so close. But he couldn't do that right now, no matter how fast or hard his heart was beating. "We need to get his phone. He keeps it in his right pocket on the back of his jeans. We should wait until he falls asleep which probably won't take much longer," he whispered, ever so softly.
Zoey glanced once more over her shoulder as Andy clasped her hands and the two stood up. She bit her lower lip slightly, still worrying over Jake's current situation. Looking back up at Andy just as he leaned down close to her ear, causing her to freeze stock still for a moment before relaxing. Zarah listened to Andy and nodded her head once. "Alright, we can do that. It should be easy," she said, her own voice quieted so Jake wouldn't hear them inside. She already knew why Andy wanted the phone, that much was obvious, now they just needed to wait to get the phone.
