Andy ignored Jake's smirk as he upped and downed Zarah. If Jake was so heartbroken about this one girl, he wouldn't go for someone else so quickly after such a bad rejection. He was probably just aiming to aggravate Andy. That way, he could get into a fight, and anything that distracted Jake from his relationship helped his heartbreak. Andy unconsciously slung an arm around Zarah's shoulders, maybe because he was actually a bit irritated that Jake would look at Zarah like that, or maybe because he wanted her support in this. He wasn't sure. "Jake.. You have to look ahead from now. In, let's say, two years. In two years, will you still be missing her or will you have moved on with another girl? Two years is a long time. You might even forget this girl. What's her name, anyway? You haven't told us anything about her yet."
{ sorry it's taken so long to post. just been so busy with my uncle's wedding preparations. }
†¤†¤† Zarah looked back at Jake when he looked at her, then over at Andy, tilting her head to the side slightly, but merely shrugging it off. Her gaze, however, drifted over to Andy when her friend slung his arms around her shoulders. Alright ... Turning her attention back to the situation at hand, however, Zarah nodded her head slightly in agreement with what Andy said. For one thing, Jake needed to figure out if the emotions he felt were real, and for another thing, if they knew a little something more about the mysterious girl, it could also help them out some. "Andy's right Jake. Before you beat yourself up over this, you first need to make sure what you feel is real, not puppy love. Are your feelings and love for this girl going to fade, or remain true?" She questioned, her voice gentle as she spoke.
He let out a awful sigh, letting his shoulders sink way in now. Jake lied himself on the porch, stretched across the hard cold floor like a cat resting in a soft patch of sunshine. He rested his head on his hands, smashing the black spiked hair down flat. Way too much hair products. He blinked up at Andy who now seemed very tall, but man, the dude was six two and well ... "You guys suck at love-puppy relationship problems. You'll be terrible parents, and guys, she's my high school sweetheart, how would I forget about her?" Okay, maybe it could be possible to forget because he had a terrible mind anyway, but he wouldn't even think of being with anybody else ... unless one of the guys set him up. A shiver ran down his back. He let his eyes close and rest for a minute. He wet his lips a little, thinking way in his thoughts like a dream. " Her name is or Roxanne, but I call her Roxxie..." He let out a dreamy sigh, a small strike of sunlight passing over his face. "Her hair is black but she dyes it neon and weird stuff often ... and ..." Jake opened one at, looking up at Andy for a short moment. "She is the stubbornest person on earth ... You know, she could be your twin ..." A small smirk came to his face and he chuckled a little.
Andy smirked at the insult. "Who said I'm going to be a parent?" Andy raised his eyebrows at Zarah as Jake described his ex. It was obvious he wasn't going to be forgetting Roxanne anytime soon. And high school sweetheart? Andy had dropped out of high school, so he had never really experienced any relationships school related. He knew that most of those relationships never last. High school was high school. It was just an experience that got you ready for the world. That meant that breakups happened and fights and all that crazy hormonal stuff. Andy had known Jake for a long time and he had never really shown any particular interest in the girls they would meet. They knew he wasn't gay from the type of porn he watched, but even if he was they would all be fine with that. Sandra was like that and she's one of the bands best friends. But still. Jake had never talked about Roxanne too much. Andy was sure he had met her once upon a time, but he was probably too drunk to remember anything. He had been going through that phase back then.. "Huh, who knows. Maybe she is my twin."
†¤†¤† Zarah arched an eyebrow slightly at Jake's comment, a slightly amused look spreading over her features. Honestly, Zarah had never given much thought at all to being a parent, as she had always assumed she'd never get the chance whether she wanted to or not, so it had just been a topic Zar never thought about. Like, at all. Anyway, back to the present situation, it seemed to Zarah that Jake really was in love with this girl. Unlike Andy, Z had full belief that high school sweethearts could make it - if it had been real love that is. And, according to how Jake spoke of this Roxanne, she truly did mean the world to him. So .... It seemed the only question really left was if Roxanna felt the same for Jake, or if the love she had felt for him had faded for good. And - though this made it two questions and not one - if they would be willing to make this love work if the emotions were mutual.
