in the land of tevyat, the seven elements flow and
converge - pyro, hydro, electro, dendro, cryo, geo,
and anemo. correction, there are no anemo users.
the last generation of anemo users has died off, and
since, the anemo archon either has disappeared, or
has decidedly stopped giving out anemo visions.

a tourist of teyvat, who wields no vision, has decided
to travel around teyvat, making it their goal to get to
the bottom of the seemingly 'lost' anemo archon. right
fully so, the other archons have become increasingly
agitated, thus beginning to break the peace that has
lain over teyvat for thousands of years.

it's up to the visionless traveler and their accomplices
that they made along the way to figure out why the
anemo archon has been out of the publics eye, and
bring back peace to teyvat.

a vision is a "gift" that is given to those residing in
teyvat. receiving a vision means that the user was
recognized by the gods themselves. a vision gives
a person the ability to use elemental abilities of
their given vision. they can either be catalysts
or weapon wielders with elements incorporated!

pryo visions focus around the use of fire.
hydro visions focus around the use of water.
electro visions focus around the use of electricity.
dendro visions focus around the use of nature.
cryo visions focus around the use of ice.
geo visions focus around the use of ground.
anemo visions focus around the use of wind.

within teyvat, there are 7 main nations. each one
corresponds with an element, although a persons
vision does not necessarily pertain to where they
reside from. for example, a resident of the anemo
town might have obtained an electro vision.

mondstat focuses on an ideal of freedom and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is anemo.
liyue focuses on the ideal of contracts and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is geo.
inazuma focuses on an ideal of eternity and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is electro.
sumeru focuses on an ideal of wisdom and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is dendro.
fontaine focuses on the ideal of justice and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is hydro.
natlan focuses on the ideal of war and its
xxxxxxxxxelement is pyro.
snezhnayas focus is unknown to the public, and
xxxxxxxxxits element is cryo.

admittedly, kento found the rite of descension quite boring. sure it was greatly important in understanding what liyue needed to do in the next year to be successful, but after numerous amounts of times, to kento, it got repetitive. though, this undoubtedly could have been due to him running his food stall each time, thus never having a proper opportunity to interact with the outside world much besides helping out customers. this year though, things were appearing to be different. it was highly rumoured that after the rite of descensions initial event, that each archon from every nation is teyvat would be attending, and that festivities would be thrown in their honor. while kento wasn't explicitly interested in the archons themselves (or so he thought), he was more excited about the prospect of more business.

the clear blue sky over liyue harbor had eventually faded into the soft yellow, orange and coral color, indicating the beginning of sunset. kento, along with dozens of other stalls on the harbor took a pause in their work to gently light the lanterns around their place of business, and onlookers of the upcoming rite too lit their own lanterns - some setting them in little water ways, some setting them near the base where the rite would be taking place, while others simply held them with looks of pure bliss and serenity. outside of his quaint little stall hung two lanterns, one emanating a light amber glow, the other shining a soft blue. he watched happily as his fellow cooks left the booth completely in order to go place their lanterns here and there, and leaned up against the post stationed inside, near the bar where customers ordered food.

kento was about to turn back to the kitchen when a lull washed over the crowds outside, signaling that the qixing had called attention. the guests at his stall grabbed their food and left with it, walking towards the forming crowd. once each of them had left, kento grabbed a small piece of parchment with the words, "will return shortly!" scribbled hastily on it, and with his coworkers he too left the stall, lagging behind and at times walking on his tip toes to see above the many heads in the crowd. behind the base of the ritual, a few figures were beginning to gather, and kento could only assume they were the archons.

most notably (from what he could see anyway) was a tall woman with long icy hair, a man with bright flame colored hair and a strong stature, and a few others began approaching them. one was a male presenting figure with deep blue hair, and he approached the others with a quaint wave and kento squinted. searching rapidly for each of their visions (which was undoubtedly impossible from where he stood), he was quickly caught off guard when a bystander with their young child in their arms pushed past him, as well as many others in front of them. kento mentally stuck his tongue out at the man before turning his gaze back to the main event. some of the qixing were exchanging off glances to one another before looking back to the archons. kento followed their gazes to find that five of seven archons were present - it was obvious the geo archon wasn't here quite yet, but there was another one missing.

it felt like an eternity before one of them spoke up. "sorry for the delay, we were waiting for aros to appear, but it seems like he might be late, and we don't wish to keep bathym waiting. so, before the rite of descension begins, let us introduce each of the present archons!" she exclaimed, and the entire crowd broke out into claps. kento crossed his arms as she continued - "first we have raimei of inazuma, followed by kieu of sumeru, naberius of fontaine, azazel of natlan and lastly, lady alloces of snezhnaya." kento watched as each archon stepped forward, giving their own sort of greeting (if anything at all), and kento unwillingly scrunched his nose at the mention of naberius. the attitude was short lived however, as a man next to him leaned close to his ear. "it's unusual for an archon to be late, no? i wonder what happened." the man whispered, and kento could only shrug. "i'm not really sure what's happened either... maybe he had some business to attend to?"

the suggestion was pretty dumb, most people knew that the anemo archon was pretty absent from mortal life, but perhaps it was an attempt to cease any anxiety kento might have. alas, it hadn't helped - in fact, it made it worse. the anxiety crept into his chest quicker than he would have liked, and his gaze rapidly moved over the crowd to search for the one thing, or person rather, that might make him feel better - yingxue.
