following the succession of jang manwol, owner of the guesthouse of the moon for 1300 years, the gods have appointed a new owner. cursed for eternity till his grudges have been resolved, he runs the guesthouse of the moon, now renamed hotel blue moon. in order for ghosts to pass on to the afterlife and reincarnate, souls must resolve their unfinished business of their past lives. the hotel provides services and solace for its guests to do move on.

most mortals. depending on
their unfinished business, the
ghost will locate the hotel with
ease unless something there is
a disruption (happens a lot).
upon entering the hotel, the
receptionist will confirm that
the soul is indeed a ghost.
humans will be refused upon
entry at the lobby (mistakes
are rare). from there, the
receptionist will guide the
ghost up an elevator leading
into the grand foyer. every
guest is granted a room (an
alternate world tailored to
their needs), limitless access to
a beach room, bar, balcony, &
garden. once the guest is ready
to go to the afterlife, the grim
reaper takes them to a bridge
across the samdo river. it takes
10 minutes to walk across the
bridge as the all the memories
of one's past life is erased. at
the end of their journey, they
are reborn into a new life.

only time will tell if he will be able to settle his unfinished business. with the gods watching, in the end he will either be able to move on to the afterlife or erased forever

minutes (given that they were
at peace at death), a couple
days, or a few months. it is
dependent on their life
circumstances and their own
ability to let go of things that
may be preventing them from
moving on to the afterlife. a
general rule of thumb, most
souls have reincarnated
countless times. if one had
lived a good live multiple times
over, they will be lucky in the
next life. if one had committed
an atrocity in their past lives,
it is likely they may still be
affected even multiple
reincarnations over. feelings of
sorrow, guilt, anger, and regret
are all common feelings, often
carried on to death. if left
unmanaged, some of the
strongest emotions manifest
into curses.

character information-- only the 'kpop idol' and 'intern' are allowed to be in
their teens. all other characters must be older than that and there is no max
age.

the wwii medic was originally based on 'comfort women' but i now realize
that such topic may be too explicit for cs and may get problematic as it can
romanticize a serious political issue. kept the description brief but its at your
discretion to actually make a character based on that. the 'defector' and
'kpop trainee' potentially have sensitive topics as well so please tread carefully
and respectfully. don't make me regret creating those character spots due
to your ignorance on real-world problems
