In the beginning the god of darkness and chaos, Nienta ruled
over the realm of Illearia until the birth of a new god, Erientar.
With Erientar came light and order, and with light and order came
a vision. Erientar saw a world filled with all sorts of creatures and
beings and so he made it true, creating the world and the beings.
Nine races arose and began populating this new realm; the high
elves, the dark elves, the fae, the tieflings, the orcs, the dwarves,
the humans, the khajiit, and the dragons. These beings broke apart
to create their own civilizations within the mountains, deserts,
grasslands, forests, and beaches. Everything was in balance and every
race worshipped Erientar, except one, the dark elves who worshipped
Nienta. Erientar knew that one day, he alone wouldn't be able to
keep the darkness at bay.. So with the help of the fae and dragons
he created a glimmering stone on a now long forgotten island, as the
fae and dragons worked together to create this stone Erientar poured
the light of his soul into it. This stone became known as the Lights'
Essence, stabilizing Erientar's light and keeping the chaos and darkness
at bay. And though the dark elves had been created by his light they
craved and thrived in darkness, desiring the chaos they'd only ever heard
of. One day, centuries ago, the dark elves locked themselves away in a
hidden jungle, overgrown and black as night. There they began planning,
the fae had held the Lights' Essence in their possession since time started
and the dark elves wanted to destroy it. And so they planned, and they
planned.... Eventually they sent an envoy to enter the kingdom of the fae
and steal the stone. Once it was in their possession, the king of the dark
elves smashed it into nine pieces and had the pieces scattered across the
realm. Without the Lights' Essence in tact, Erientar struggled to keep Nienta
from returning, eventually he succumbed to her and turned his back on
Illearia... Leaving the realm to it's own devices, causing chaos to return.

The Plot

After centuries of living in darkness and chaos as a result of the Dark Elves
destroying the Lights' Essence, a group of Elders from eight of the nine races
came together. The elders devised a plan to restore light and order to the
realm of Illearia. A summons was sent out across the nine kingdoms to
whomever would answer to come to the kingdom of the Fae for an important
quest. No information was in the summons, only that the beings from each
of the races were requested by the Queen of the Fae. Many beings responded
and ventured to the kingdom of the Fae, little did they know they would
embark on a quest to find the pieces of the Lights' Essence and return it to
the forgotten island to be fused together and drive the darkness away,
hopefully allowing Erientar to return to the realm and keep the balance.
Though the dark elf king has his suspicions about this summons and decides to
send his own scout to infiltrate the gathering and cause chaos in hopes to ruin
the Fae Queens' plans...

The Races and Classes

High Elves
Considered the pure elves or
elves of the light. These elves
were favorited by Elientar along
with the Fae and the Humans.
They're beautiful and tend to
have a glow to their appearance.

Fae
Gorgeous creatures with wings
of iridescent, glowing colors.
The Fae were thought to have
been born from the light of
Elientar and are considered to
be the embodiment of his power.

Dwarves
The Dwarves were born from
the darkness but were blessed
with the gift of life from Elientar
himself. Short, stocky, and
muscular creatures, they prefer
to live in mountain tunnels.

Humans
Having no powers of their own,
and showing no sign of Elientar's
powers within them. They're
creative but ordinary. Though
they are very skilled warriors,
marksmen, and hunters.

Khajiit
Cat like beings, resembling the
humans but with the the ears
and eyes of cats, some with
whiskers and some without.
They're magically savvy and tend
to be fantastic rogues or mages.

Tieflings
Creatures who look like something
of demons, but some of the most
cheerful creatures ever. Horns
and colorful skin ranging from pale
yellows to deep reds. They tend to
be skilled in magic and combat.

Dark Elves
Almost the opposite of the high
elves, still beautiful but with dark
skin in shades of grey or black. They
exude an aura of darkness around
them. Skilled in black magic and
chaos, they tend to be feared by all.

Orcs
Tall, unattractive beings they
are shunned from human villages
and tend to live on the outskirts.
Muscular, colorful skinned ranging
from bright greens to deep blues
and extremely skilled warriors.

Dragons
Winged serpents, given the
ability to shift between dragon
and humanesque forms, they tend
to prefer dragon forms. Scaled
and winged even in human form
with shining serpent-like eyes.

Magic Weilders

Wizard
Working with Magic to create spells
designed for defense and offense
during battle. Wizards powers are
strong but they do come with
drawbacks. They can cause high
damage but can't use their own
defense spells on themselves.

Healer
Healers work with magic to help
others when injured. They tend to
heal others using their own life
force. They can heal as many
injured beings as possible while
their life force is still strong. They
can't defend themselves though.

Necromancer
These magic wielders are able
to summon and control the dead.
They can summon souls to do their
bidding whether it be in battle or
in every day life. But the souls they
summon only last for limited time
and are connected to their life force.

Warriors

Berserkers
These warriors tend to wield heavy,
two handed weapons. They usually
wear heavy plated armor, covering
every inch of their bodies, but not
always. Because of their choice of
weapons they don't carry shields
and their only defense is strength.

Marksmen
Marksmen tend to carry bows of
some sort with arrows. They tend to
hide in the shadows and attack from
a distance. They wear lightweight
armor, if you can even call it armor.
They have no defensive gear and
use distance as a defense.

Rogues
Rogues tend to be loners and don't
enjoy big crowds. Though they can be
the life of the party. They carry two
daggers as weapons and are skilled
in stealth and speed. They tend to
wear everyday clothing but underneath
is lightweight chain mail.

Specialists

Fauna Masters
Fauna Masters are magically inclined
but not as much as the magic wielders.
They tend to be more spiritual in
nature and connect to the fauna they
control on a deeper level than just
magic. They can call upon animals to
help them when they need.

Music Masters
Music Masters, also called bards, are
able to control music to their own
whims. Some say they're magic but
that's untrue. They are able to feel
the vibrations and manipulate them
through a rigorous preparation routine
of training and meditation.

Element Masters
Element Masters are connected to
the elements on a spiritual level. They
are the embodiment of the elements
and are able to call on them in an
instant. They have typically have a
specific element that they prefer
but they can wield all elements.

The Rules

1. Know all site rules before joining.
2. Know the basics of the story.
3. No powerplay. This roleplay will be very combat driven. I will play any or main foes (Gods and elite forces) we face as they will not simply be killed by a single arrow. Smaller enemies (such as a creature of chaos) can be quickly destroyed, but no "She shot an arrow at The God of Chaos and killed her instantly". NPC's we encounter will be played by me as well so it's not like we're just talking to walls.
4. This is not a romance roleplay. I am fine if romantic relationships develop, BUT please remember that our characters are on a quest and romance is not at the forefront of their minds.
5. Have fun and write your own story! There is a lot of lore and world building to this story, but I do want everyone to get involved. Any ideas or side plots you have, I am more than happy to hear and may include! Remember to join the action, don't wait to be tagged!
6. Only two characters per person. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to snatch up a role that sounds interesting to them. This may change later but for now only two characters please. Please try to keep genders equal, so if you do have two characters, don't have two female characters or two male characters. Also please don't double up on races or classes. I want to try and make sure there is at least one of every race and class listed before we double up, but your characters don't necessarily have to be one of the listed races or classes as long as the ones I've created are all already taken!
7. Most races are going to be allowed! Even if I did not list a race you want to play, you are free to play whatever you like, just please run it by me first so I can see if it will fit in! Characters also don't necessarily have to be a distinct part of a specific races kingdom, they may simply be a nomad (ie; a fae doesn't necessarily have to be from the fae kingdom, they can be a wanderer type that responded passing through a kingdom.)
7. Write reasonable responses. I have no word requirement but I would like it if everyone at least posted one or two paragraphs consisting of 6 sentences.
8. Do not repost or bump constantly. This includes quoting your characters who aren't being interacted with constantly. Do not repost the same thing over and over, have them continue their activity and progress along with time in the roleplay.
9. Keep OOC and forms in the discussion thread. There's a form and a discord server for the chatter so please keep it there!
10. Please message me if you have any questions or ideas! Also please message me to reserve a spot before posting in the form thread.



Please note that all characters should have mounts for travel unless your character is a dragon or a fae. Dragons and Fae can have mounts if they wish but don't have to due to their abilities to fly.
