i don't have anyone at home to worry about me! " he spat crossly as he got up and stalked to the waters edge. he sat down with his sholders hunched, staring unseeingly at the gently flowing current, unable to see the ripples his tears created on the glassy slow moving water.

the little tom sighed hard, he turned in the other direction hiding his tears as best he could through gritted teeth. he got up again and stalked to a flat rock by the river's edge and sat there, listtening to it's gentle burble, his ears where down to the sides. and he mewed something nearly inaudable again.

scot paused in his fish cleaning to say, "you're gonna 'alve to talk louder dan dat kit'n if ya want us ta hear!"

this prompted a swat from song who shook her head vigorusly at the big otter.
