what? you're eyes havn't ajusted yet? our gems glow when we hit a certain mood or think about a truly significant memory. fang and i figured it out a while back when we were first sent here. he got realy shy and his stone glowed so much that i had to look the other way for a sec and then agin when he thought about his mum." song's head diped, avoiding a dangling root she knew was there." mine shines when i get realy mad or when i think about the time i ran away from home."

fang's wiskers twitched as his ears went back slightly, "uh....yeah...she doesn't usualy let me have much 'me' time. she thinks it's bad if i dwell on things...." he mewed quietly, sightless eyes narrowing a tiny bit. he kept walking to the brush where he could talk openly.
ah! that's great sly!" song smiled at the male.
scot just went swimming in the lazy river, letting it's flow take him down stream to the big lake. "nothen like a lazy day on da river is dere?" he sighed to himself with a belly full of fish, orange bird shaped gem gloing dimmly against his dark wet fur un-noticed.

sparrow sniffed the air, -great...more "Remembers".- he thought irratibly his big brown ears twiching. he raised his muzzle to the air but didn't howl out. he'd explore the 'newbies' himself.
