Horu stared quietly as the ebony wolf started to stir. He strode forward, staring. "Who are you and where do you come from?" He questioned suspiciously.

Horu looked away, distracted by a groan coming from the pup den, which also doubled up as the healer room. Giving the ebony wolf a suspicious eye, he growled. "Come with me." He said sternly, before going to check out the noise.

Seeing a wolf, Horu brightened. That was the wolf Tsuki had found a while ago, his wounds had been very severe so he had been unconscious for a long while. Coming to the wolf, Horu nodded, gesturing for the other black wolf to sit also so he could explain everything just once, and wouldn't need to repeat it. He nodded as Toxic popped up beside him. "Welcome, both of you, to Canine Falls. We are a pack, simply called 'The forgotten.'.My name is Horu, and this is Toxic. I really wish we could provide you with better reception, but we are in a bad state. Humans have discovered our haven, and stolen three of our pack members. Will you join us?" He asked quietly, cocking his head.

Toxic sat down as Horu introduced the black wolf. She nodded in return to Horu, her eyes moving from him to the other wolf as she flicked her tail over her side.

Eiko had been gone for long. Too long it seemed, but she couldn't tell the minutes through the fog of her disembodied senses. As she rushed back to the area, the first area, where Enola stood in her watery cage, the spirit regretted having wanted to visit every single room the base presented, no matter how vital it'd seemed only a few instants ago. This whole place had needed her to reconsider her spacial perception and representation of reality. The angles, the geometry, the fact that this place was not adopted but created by the creatures that inhabited it were notions the wolf could only barely understand, were ideas that by far surpassed the most incredible things she'd ever have imagined. She felt deeply imbued with the discovery of this parallel reality within a world once familiar and uncomplicated and her recent understanding of it's distinct nature filled her with deep concern, with some unexplained dread. She pressed through yet another wall, dragging her particles through the solid surface as if to rid them of this terrible fear.

The markings on the grey female lit up with a sudden pulse and Eiko's lifeless body shook with a single violent convulsion. She breathed, loud and long and desperate, like after a dangerously prolonged dive in a wild and murderous river. Her frantic gasp reduced to panicked panting as the wolf assimilated into her puny body all that her soul had seen. Her bulging eyes were locked still in their sockets, the orange turmoil of this return twirling madly around her rigid gaze. She was incapable of saying a single word for over a minute, her muscles laying as useless as ever: the only sounds she could emit were high and raspy and begging for more air than they could obtain. In form, this was much like any reentry Eiko had had to experience, but maybe this one was a bit more painful than she'd planned it to be.

Enola waited quietly, staring at the four white walls which enclosed her, taking in the sterilised, too clean water. She had so far counted 52 paw strikes, and as she counted slowly, with each strike, she felt just a little bit more paranoia sneak into her mind. Too long, this was too long. Her ears were perked, rotating, swiveling. So far, no humans had come in, but still Enola was worried. What had happened? What was going on right now? She couldn't say she knew.

Suddenly, Eiko's body convulsed. A breath, rapid and needy. Enola let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding. She watched as Eiko gasped. Sure, Eiko looked near death, but it was an improvement from how still she was a minute ago. Her eyes were wide and looked like she was stunned, and the fae lay there, eyes boggled, unmoving. The only sound she made was frantic panting, and Enola waited, wondering if the fae was going to die. She was confused, and yet, she stayed calm. Eiko had made this sound frequently when she returned to her body, though never this violent, never this shockingly. Enola waited quietly, before cocking her head. "Are you going to be alright?" Her voice, cool and almost cold, reached Eiko, though that was just Enola. Deep in the dark blue fae's words lay concern, present in how her eyes quietly scanned Eiko.

Eiko heard a sound as it was stored on one of the shelves of her now tangible hippocampus. It was one of these sound that usually held meaning, though no sense was retained this time at all. She had to recall to understand. Indeed, was she all right? Yes, seemed to be the obvious answer, although it was unclear whether it pertained to the actual definition of being 'all right' or more to an old habit of what to respond to such a question. Nonetheless the answer seemed to be yes, and she vocalized that answer. She opened her eyes. Like every time, the simple act of seeing made her forget exactly how to comprehend the perception she'd been utilizing just a few instants ago. Adaptation had always come with the strange impression that everything she sensed of the world around her was distorted and extraneous, despite how familiar it all should be. She remembered having tried to describe her experience as a spirit many times before, only to be forced into total and utter failure by the limits of language. But that was not the point. "I'm okay, yeah." she repeated, so she herself could hear it. "I'll tell you what I saw, just..." The prospect of having to express herself clearly and thoroughly on something she barely even wanted to understand at all seemed exhausting, too much so. It seemed she even lacked the determination to garner the few scraps of will that would have her stay awake. "I saw Gaphyte..." she started, feeling uninspired to continue at all. "And entrances, or exits, whichever. Some lead outside. Outside's the desert." A sudden criticizing surge of consciousness bled through her. It had her take a long breath through the nose and use the oxygen gathered to go on with renewed dynamism. "We have to open the entrances for ourselves and go through a few of them to reach the exit to the outside. I also spotted many creatures moving around."

As Eiko said that she was alright, Enola watched her a little suspiciously, trying to figure out if she meant that or if she was just saying it out of habit. She studied her for a moment, before letting it go. She looked okay, at least.

As Eiko started speaking, Enola listened carefully. She watched Eiko as the fae struggled. Enola nodded, listening before staring at the fae. "Take a few minutes to take a breather." She instructed quietly, watching her as she thought. There was so much more she wanted to know from Eiko, like how many humans there were, how the doors were handled.
