Cherry~
My ears pricked and I tilted my head slightly at the rustling of another wolf. A male wolf appeared. I took a cautious step back, eyes flicking from Aura to Dimitri. Course, I could've taken them down if they turned on me, I just didn't want to get blood on my fur. Pfft. Who am I kidding? They could have me down in a second; especially the male who looked ready to kill me if I laid one paw on his mate. I knew they were mates even before the words left his lips; his protectiveness, the way Aura's eyes lit up ashen she saw him. I wasn't jealous. What had love ever done for me? I tell you what it's done: it's lulled me into a false sense of security then suddenly snapped me back into reality, killing all my friends and family meanwhile. Love and hate come together in a package deal, and they're easily mixed up. I turned back to Dimitri. "Hey," I said, "I'm Cherry. You may have heard of me; I come from quite a large family. Heard of the family of Moon and Stars?"
Echo~
The White winter sky rolled above Echo, the chilly breeze lifting her fur and the silent and still forest surrounded her, the tree's bare fingertips reaching high into the sky. Echo sat, a silver statue, a few metres away from the entrance to her den. As her gaze fell from the blanket of White above her, she closed her eyes and felt perfectly at home. She, nor anyone else for that matter, could understand Echo's love for winter days, or how she felt completely at ease in the cold. Echo was not a wolf that enjoyed crowds and hot days and noise. As the sun began to sink a little further towards the horizon, a swirl of snow fell from the sky, settling on Echo's coat like glitter and making it shine in the half-light. As the stars slowly appeared, pinpricks of blazing hope in a blanket of black, the snow grew heavier and heavier. A whisper had been carried by the wind, a second of a distant conversation reached her ears, and Echo's stormy blue eyes snapped open. That voice belonged to Cherry.
