[Gambler]

Gambler chuckled a bit when her stomach answered for her. He smiled and slid the elk off his back and stepped away. "Ladies first." he said with a light smile. He sat down in the snow that was already covering the ground to wait. He was a rather patient guy and didn't mind waiting.

Omega slunk closer, ears flicking every which way while looking around, as if it were a trap. First encounters where always the hardest for her. The unsure feelings and knots in her gut made her remember how much she didn't like it. Her fangs met the flesh slowly before pulling back the pelt and taking a few bites. A mouth full or two was all she would only eat, but this time she spoiled herself and took five before moving back. Licking at her muzzle she sat straight, again with the show of strength but her lowered eyed and wondering eyes said a whole different thing. Her black ear flicked roughly before looking over shoulder as if hearing something then looked back down, "Thank you Sir."

"Hm? You should eat more then just that. It's not always easy to come by out here." He said simply. "Ah. No, My name is Gambler..." The brown colored male seemed to freeze where he was. He slowly lowered himself to the ground and took a few steps back. He saw a pair of blood red eyes threw the storm "Shadow." the name escaped his lips quietly as he was now trying to seem as lease threatning as possible. He knew that this male was the soul survivor of the pack that had ruled this area. One of the most powerful wolves left alive after the amouint of desasters that had fallen upon the world.

The onyx black wolf had been watching the various wolves that were now in the area. He had seen where the other three were already. These two were the ones most active. His Crimson eye were peering down from a low ledge in a chard rock face. He saw the male's reaction. This told him that this brown wolf knew of the pack that once lived there.

Omega's ear fell back, her belly felt empty but she knew shouldn't eat more. She skipped that subject all together, "I'm Omega..." Her voice trailed off as he started to back up. A shiver ran down her spine in worry of what would scare him as she swallowed hard. Slower her head sunk to the ground, shoulders dropping as ears pulled flat to her head. Eyes scared at the ground as tail curled up along side her thigh as eyes kept to the ground. Unsure of if she should look behind her or not as a worried frown grew over her face.

The large black wolf walked out of the shadows that hid him in the storm. He shook his head at the male before looking at the female. His crimson eyes returned to the brown male "So you would cower and run away leaving her here alone?" He asked. His voice was deep and rough. It had an air of authority to it as well.

Gambler's ears pulled back "I wasn't going to run." He said quietly "I wasn't going to fight either though. I know that you would kill me." he said with a more normal tone as he started to sit up right. "I might be dumb but I'm not stupid. You are the last of the Royal Shadow wolves. I'm not crazy enough to fight someone like you." He said and looked away.

Omega kept still, ear flicking to the crunching snow under this paws as hers gripped the snow. Slowly she looked up to him, being sure not to make eye contact as an ear perks slightly then falls back down. A confused look over her face before scooting a little farther away from the wolf. She didn't see why Gambler would of stayed to fight for her, they only just met and weren't family. Eyes flicked up to Gambler for a moment before back down. Her body tensed roughly, as if ready to bolt but she could never bring herself to run. Running was just as bad as staying. Her mind ran over everything that might and could happen in a few moments as heart started to race. Ears slowly lifted to hear Gambler better as eyes kept to the ground.

A dark chuckle escaped the black wolf's lips "Your a smart one." He admitted "Just because I'm a Royal Shadow Wolf doesn't mean that I will just kill you." He said firmly. He shook his fur to release the snow from his thick onyx fur. He was tall and looked like he had a light build. Though that wasn't the case. He was slender but still heavy thanks to the large mussel mass beneath his fur. This often made others think that he was weak and easily beaten because his strength was not easily seen until it was too late. He turned his gaze to the female, seeing her uneasiness he took a step back.

Ears perked as Omega looked up to him before glancing away, shoulders releasing their tension. With hesitation she slowly sat up, keeping low still with uncertainty of what they would say or do. With eyes cast down they darted back and forth in thought, of what each might say. What they might ask, how she might do or say the wrong thing or what would happen if they stared at her. Ears perked up high as paws gripped the snow, staring, nothing more she hated then to be just started at. A shiver ran down her spine, she was use to the warmer weather and had yet to grow in a true winter coat. But being cold was the lease of her worries and frets. Her voice seemed forced, as if tortured to say, "I'm Omega.... nice to... meet you Shadow."
