As The she-cat was stopped she let out a low growl glaring at the she-cat who dared stop her. Tail lashing she finally spoke, "I've been debating JaggedFangs demotion for some time but the likelihood of you becoming deputy is slim. I don't even think I could handle your putrid presence being by my side for a whole day." she growled her gaze narrowed as she looked down at FlutteringGaze her green eyes glowing slightly before the glow vanished. "Maybe if you were to prove your use to me you'd have more of a shot" she added before sidestepping the she-cat and heading out.

The kit stood in shock after watching BitterSweet drag FallenRains out of camp their green eyes never leaving where the 2 had disappeared. Their heart twisted as they stood unable to move... They couldn't no... they wouldn't believe their mother were that cruel... She let one of the few companions the kit trusted die. A few tears escaped the kit as they fell to the ground silently weeping to themselves.

The tom noticed the she-cat turmoil ... Her expression had revealed every emotion she had felt. "Vine'star has assigned everyone their jobs it's best we do as told for now... If FallenRains really is dead I'm sure that'll upset enough cats to knock the leader down a few pegs. The One Thing She Can't Deny Seems To Be Strength." her mewed placing his tail on HoneyGlows shoulder in an attempt to comfort her despite his emotionless expression.

The she-cat had noticed DroopingRose flinch at Vine'Stars words her heart twisting for the she-cat. "Don't Listen To Her, I think you're an absolutely stunning cat!" PumpkinStrike mewed wholeheartedly her blue eyes holding a tenderness for the otherwise depressed she-cat as she started heading out of camp with DroopingRose and Beepaw.

(I've been trying to decide on Who Vine would make deputy and I feel she'd go for whatever cat she sees as strongest! I'm still trying to decide! ALSO Pumpkin x DroopingRose would be sooo cute! And Pumpkin has No feelings left for Vine though she does wish she'd show a little more consideration to their kit and she does reminisce a lot wishing things had turned out differently.))

it was alone, but its mind ran with thoughts. forgetblink lingered, just outside camp, moisture clinging to its pelt. there were so many things happening and it didn't want to begin to think about them.

The kit had ended up wandering too close to the camp, her stormy gray eyes landing on a cat standing alone the atmosphere seemed dull and lifeless... The perfect time to cause some mischief and scare some cats! Making sure she was hidden the kit giggled loudly her creepy child-like giggle echoing around ForgetBlink and herself she smiled widely as she pressed herself close too ground her small figure becoming transparent as she giggled again her silver eyes never leaving the strange cat.

His coughing takes him by surprise; it racks through his form, it hurts and it takes a moment or five for his breathing to even out. "Wish I... I could heal... myself. " Is rasped. Then, he's padding through maple trees that have just barely been touched by the ashes and flames. His blue eyes are wide.

"You propose we start.. in a ... barn?" Is asked, his memory of how his mate died, his kits died, running through his head. But she's right, it would provide shelter, there's a stream not far, plenty of prey between the maple orchard and the fields and then part of the forest. But VineStar, and probably anyone else from the clan, wouldnt look here.... "It's a good plan." He slides through the hole in one corner, standing in the gloom, dust motes shimmering in streams of light. The ex-med-cat sits on soft straw with a quiet sigh.

"Yes, tell them I'm dead. Except for HavocKit, and Shadowkit, they both will be devastated.. tell them i miss and love them. " Is agreed gravely, hearts aching for his kit(s). His long tail flips up and over his paws, trembling. He swallows, seeing a strip of wood that's nailed to the side of the barn that would be wonderful to get into the loft, and a few full boards that would serve to get to the other side. "I have some recommendations for who may join us, and I hope you'll agree." FallenRains exhales slowly, trying to ward off his need for poppy for a little longer- he's in excruciating pain.

"BitterSweet, " he says, "I'd like to ask you to invite MistStrike, RoseThorn, PumpkinStrike, DroopingRose, all the kits, MushroomClaw, HoneyGlow and perhaps even CherryDusk to join us. I think they are going to be -" his cough returns and he is half bent over until it is over, "hurt.. hurt by VineStar. You'll have to go back.. only visit once or twice a moon at most so you don't get caught. "

He pauses, "I think that it'll take some convincing for them to join, especially CherryDusk as she doesnt trust anyone, but that they're essentially good cats who would work well with what we want for our clan." He winces. What if VineStar finds out? What if she hurts his friends? "I'll prepare for our clan between seeing you." His nose touches her nearest cheek, tender and caring. "And I think we have to be careful to cover our tracks. When you go back from 'burying' me, make sure you're muddy, and if possible sad. Make sure that you bring herbs or prey for the clan. You'll be scrutinized." He coughs again, and then sighs his tiredness. "Be careful my friend. "

One thing she can't deny, is strength. What does that mean?

He lays her tail across her shoulder; the shoulder that had been burnt until there had been hardly anything left of it - until FallenRains had healed her. She never would have recovered without the silver medicine cat. The warrior sniffles, but nods, then seeing HavocKit her eyes sting with more tears. "Let's get started. " Is said with determination, but she's padding over to the kit, heart aching.

"H-HavocKit?" Is asked, gently laying one paw next to them. "I'm so sorry about your friend. " Is whispered, shoulders tense until VineStar leaves. "If you'd like, after we get the camp fixed I'll Find his grave and we can sit vigil, you and me?" HoneyGlow is trying to comfort them, but also showing comradery in their misery.
She's going to, and does, miss the medicine cat. "Would you like to come and help fix the camp entrance?" A tear leaks down her face, "We can talk able him, if you want.."

Shadowkit's eyes opened. Where was he at? He tried to stand up, but he was to weak. He tried meowing for help.

The apprentice had been hauling branches and brambles back in, she doesn't know that FallenRains is 'dead'... but she cares for kits especially. So every trip or two she pads to the medicine cat den and checks on the three last kits that had been rescued; LostKit, GhostKit, and ShadowKit. Seeing the latter away the little calico apprentice who has no claws purrs. "You're awake ShadowKit! I'm so very glad that FallenRains was able to save you!"

She leans over and licks the kits' ears, "PumpkinStrike brought you here and then he HEALED you!! It was like magic." Says the apprentice with awe, "I didn't know he HAS a gift, did you?"

The clawless apprentice brings a ball of her namesake over, it's full of water. "Are you thirsty? You can drink from this."

Shadowkit stood up very shakily on her weak legs. "Who is FallenRains and PumpkinStrike?" She asked curiously as she looked around the medicine den. There were shelves built into the walls. "Yes I am!" She said. Shadowkit lymped over to the water and begain to lap it up fast.

"FallenRains... well, he quietly offered to adopt you. He adopted me." She tries to explain, "and PumpkinStrike is a nice queen, she found you in the fire and brought you here to keep you safe."
