River, still standing watched as her mother walked into the den. Oak had dipped his head and she kept hers tall. She wanted her mother to see she had become tough. She had to be - River new what was to come. She took a step forward, the pain in her side burned but she ignored it. She walked out of the medics den and turned to face her mother. you’re alive. Now tell me what happened. her mother had snapped at her. River fought her ears to stay up to remain in her strong posture. She locked her eyes on her mother. “The wolves were on OUR land. I wanted to chase them off. Unfortunately they were stronger. They won’t be next time. she stated. River sighed realizing she needed to apologize for her actions and lack of preparation for the moment, Before she could open her muzzle to speak a paw strikes her face, a claw tearing at her cheek. River yelped and was knocked back from the blow. Her side burned In pain. She wined and laid on the ground knowing if she got up her mother would have more for her to take.

She dipped her head back to Oak, and soon growled at River who padded past them and out of the den. She looked at oak. “she’s not supposed to be standing is she?” she stated, her anger rising. Not at Oak, he had done nothing wrong. Her daughter on the other hand, she needed to learn respect. Sweetfur turned, her eyes meeting Rivers. “You’re Alive. Now tell me what happened.” she snapped. Hearing River’s response just made the anger over
flow, without even hesitating Sweetfur raised her paw and strikes her cheek. She watched River yelp in pain and fall to the ground. She stood before her, lowering down to River’s ear she spat. “next time. Don’t act stupid.” raising back to her height she looked at River again, then turned to realize Destiny, Oak and who Else knows had witnessed the events that took place. She widened her eyes realized what she had done. “River - I-‘ she stammered before walking away. Knowing anything said would make the situation worse.

Risen grunted as the full weight of Aleck was on his back. He slowly made his way back to camp. As the entrance came into view he looked at Kakora “Run ahead and alert Avon” he instructed as he continued walking. He looked over to Aleck “hang in there, we’re almost back!” as camp drew near a blur of Black fur sped almost into him. It was Blaze. He could hear him talking and suddenly the weight was lighter. He had pulled half of Aleck onto his back.

Blaze’s attention snapped to the entrance of camp. His eyes landed on Risen, Kakora and someone on Risen? He looked around and called “Avon! I think someone is hurt!!” he narrowed his eyes to try to see who. The second the fur came from under the shadow he realized it was Aleck. He sprang to his paws and called out again. “Avon, it’s Aleck!!!” before racing to Risen and almost knocking him down in the process. Blaze mumbled “let some of his weight onto me. I’ll help.” he said as he pulled on Aleck lightly to pull half of him onto his back
