He grabbed the herb in his mouth and bit down. She was right. It was sweet. “That is good,” He said with a happy bark. He had been happy all day it felt like. Today was just a great day, like all of the others. The other wolves made him feel great!

"You’re more than halfway through your training, so I want to do an overall assessment," Shadow responded as she started towards the training grove. "We’ve done countless practices, I want to see how you fare relying on what you have off the top of your head. Since Leo is training with us, what say the two of you square off, within some boundaries?" She suggested. She’d leave that much up to the two, based on how ready they felt for a match, but it’d be interesting to see.

"Oh sky-dogs, Smoke would LOVE it!" Fish agreed, tail wagging furiously as they travelled further into the forest. "We could get the ball ready faster and maybe she could help make sure the Trainees are around when we’re ready to launch the ball!" She cheered.

The cold had never bothered Fish, as she always made sure there was a little moss on her branch, but still she smiled, reaching over to gently nuzzle her friend's shoulder. "I’ll help keep you warm!" She agreed. Even if it meant sleeping on the ground, not many wolves took to her, so she was always glad to offer and receive company.

As they went further in, Fish froze. "Zeus! Wait, I think I smell other wolves, and they’re not familiar...but not fire scent either!"

"Good morning to you too, Achak," Max returned the greeting with a curt nod of acknowledgement. "Been up long? Looks like we’ve had a few early risers this morning," he noticed. He himself was no exception, but even so.

Arian's eyes narrowed to tiny slits as she moved forward. Now that she focused on the air around them, rather than on JUST the coyotes, she caught it too. "I smell it. It doesn’t smell right. We track the coyotes first, then we'll check out the other scent. The priority needs to be those thieving coyotes."

"I dunno man, you’re just such an important rank, and here you’re willing to sit around and play with a dorky two year old!" Smoke said, but her voice was bright and chipper.

"At the rate she’s going right now? Three, maybe four months. Tops. She’s a really fast learner. She picks it up pretty quick and knows how to apply skills," Toby reported proudly.

"Find anything interesting? I received news last night about coyotes lurking in the area. None of the others have seen them, but their scent is all over is what I’m told," Max remembered.

Striker nodded. “ lead the way” he backed up to let Arian through the small pathway.

Kahn nodded. “ That’s exiting.” He could remember when he first became a trainee and then when he became a full hunter. Smiling he looked up at the sky. “ does she um” he coughed “ does she have like eyes on anybody?” He blushed and looked away from the other hunter.

Achak nods and says “yes they are near our border opsisite of the lightning pack border I went to i vesitigate an influx a den where the sent was surely fresh” he looks at the alpha

Rue tags max and Achak
The earth brown female gets up an d walks over to the alpha and Achak and she says “how are you bolth today” she sniffs Achak and says “you found them?” She wags her tail since she needed some training and wanted to sink her claws into the coyotes

Achak tags max and rue

The ginger male looks at rue and says “yes I did find them” he wags his tail and fluffs up his pelt to keep himself warm

Lead the way was exactly what Arian did, and the scent of coyotes grew stronger and stronger with every step. She wrinkled her nose against the pungent scent, but stopped in her her tracks when dead ahead, two figures had appeared. Two coyotes, tearing apart a small carcass. She peeled her lips back in a quiet snarl.

She didn’t take her dark amber eyes off the two figures in front of them, sizing them up. More or less the same size as Arian herself, but scrawny and thinly-built. "Well, I daresay we have our little thieves," she grumbled.

Toby tilted his head to the side. "As far as I’m aware, she has friends in Quicksilver and young Leo, but I can’t speak to her love life. I’m not THAT much of a clingy and obsessive trainer!" He exclaimed. True enough. "Why? You got eyes for HER?" He joked.

Max dipped his head to the Trainee. "Good morning, Rue." He tilted his head to the side at the mention of having...FOUND the coyotes. Actually located them? Interesting. "Well, were the coyotes at home, if you found their den? Or was there prey-scent?"
