Lucas watched the exchange between Leo and Shadow.
*Will I be able to nuzzle or lick someone like that, when I'm old enough to settle down?* He wondered and shifted a little, uncomfortably. He was about to go into a training session, he couldn't be thinking about where he would be after he'd become a Warrior. That was a sort of train of thought best just before bed, when he could be more melancholic about it. He shook the thoughts off as Shadow agreed to the lesson and his smile, which faded as he'd been lost in thought, returned in full force.

"Hooray!" He crowed and leaped up, before turning his gaze to Leo. "This is gonna be so cool!" He said with his tail wagging unapologetically behind him. Why should he hide how he felt about spending more time with Leo? Lucas couldn't stand being alone, so the fact that he had another friend with him to attend training with - maybe Smoke had been right. Maybe it would be a good morning. He turned back to Shadow. "What're we going to train today, Alpha Trainer Shadow?" He asked her.

What would Toby say? Sandpiper hoped she wasn’t in too much trouble. The sandy brown she-wolf let out a relatively heavy sigh and struggled to her feet. However, as every second passed, her cheerful demeanor seemed to awaken with her. “Well! How are you doing this morning?” She asked, vigorously shaking out her pelt.
