Lucas nodded his agreement.
"Yeah... But I'll be staying up to watch out for them, so I can wake you up if anything happens." He added. "So you can sleep if you want to. I'll protect you." He told his friend. He turned his head towards Leo when he was snuggled up against and he smiled. "Hey, it's okay. You know I love having you close by." He lowered his muzzle, touching his nose to Leo's. "I mean it, Leo, I love you." He told him fervently.

Enui knew that Arian would protect the pack, among the other warriors that remained. She thought of Erle for a moment, but then shifted her attention forward. She remained standing, not keen on sitting down and making herself any more vulnerable than she and her pack surely felt.

She glanced at Max, waiting for him to begin the interaction. She was under ranked here among the two Alphas. She wondered if Shadow had a Beta, if they would have joined them in the den, even though that may make the interaction fairly cramped. Well, it was popular knowledge that Shadow didn't have a beta or any leads. So who knew how things might proceed from there. Enui only hoped that whatever was discussed, it would fall into the favor of the Fire Pack.

Shadow fixed the two with a coldly curious stare. She knew little of Enui, but the she-wolf carried herself with a pride that showed in her posture, yet...she spoke not a word, awaiting the Alphas. Max, on the other hand, looked like Shadow hadn’t seen him in a very long time. Worn down, almost...defeated, and when he lifted his gaze, there was remnants of FEAR. "What's going on? Why have you brought the majority of your Pack directly into our home? Right to the heart of our territory?" Her voice was neither friendly nor hostile, only slightly tense.


Max | Alpha | F-Pack | Tagging: Shadow, Enui | Location: Lightning Camp, Alpha Den


"Alpha, this is my Beta, Enui. I do hope it’s alright if she stays here with us." Max took a deep breath. "There’s been...a terrible situation back at our old camp," Max started. "During the last Meet, you were informed of these human hunters. They did not go away, and now..." he glanced briefly at Enui, silently seeking support. He was larger and stronger than Shadow in many ways, but she was generally calmer, more collected, it was almost intimidating when he was in a position of requiring her help. "Now we have nowhere to go. I would not have brought the Pack here if we didn’t need to. The fact of the matter is, we..." he trailed off momentarily, the words getting caught in his throat. "We need your help. We have nowhere to go and no idea what else to do. We're out of options." Enui's presence was comforting. Sure, Max could’ve handled it alone if he needed to, but Enui had a calming effect over him in times of stress, and this? This DEFINITELY counted as a time of stress. "Anything else you can think of to put in, Enui?"

Enui was a silent observer, only offering the most shallow of nods to her Alpha when he glanced at her. She'd never been one for outward encouragement, but the determination that shone in her eyes as she looked at him would hopefully steady his resolve, as she was steady in her own. She slid her gaze back to Shadow, watching the she-wolf for any sign of hostility. When she was called upon to speak, she took a breath and began.

"Our Healer is severely wounded and we have no replacement. Our pups and our Trainees are worn down and afraid. We don't know if the humans are still in our old borders and we are in no position to send out scouts to investigate, lest we lose any more wolves to the predators who have already taken so many from us." She stifled a sigh, but a weariness came into her gaze. "We do not ask that you welcome us into your camp or into your dens. I suspect such close quarters wouldn't be a good mix for either of our packs. However, if you could allow us to stay within your hunting grounds and allow your Healer to aid our own so that no one else may perish as a result of the attack, then we would be very grateful." She inclined her head towards Shadow. "You are not a cruel wolf, Alpha Shadow... I would ask you show us some part of your mercy here, when our pack is in dire need of it. If you refuse us, you may very well be condemning us to a swift demise." She said, her tone imploring.

Yes, it made the Fire Pack sound vulnerable and weak, but if they got this aide from the Lightning Pack, then they could regain their strength and move forward in whatever ways they so chose. They just needed to secure this temporary alliance for the time being. Sky-dogs willing... let it work out. Enui thought as she waited for Shadow's reply.

The pup and story loving female said "Hey Smoke, um...do you want to go with me to help protect Maui and Aala? It seems like Shadow sent Maui there, but she's just a den tender. She doesn't really know how to fight, so I don't think either could defend themselves. I'm a scout, but I could probably be of some help, plus you're a warrior, so you'd definitely be of help."

The brown eared and legged female flicked her brown tail. She flicked her tail, ears twitching as she stood back up. She dipped her head to her alpha, then ran to the healer den. She saw Stormcloud on the way, and he didn't look so good...She needed to protect Aala right now, though.

The red eared one flicked their red and white tail. They made a small sound, heterochromatic eyes looking forward. They hummed a canine sound, and panted a bit, seeming stressed. They then sighed and dropped to a sitting position.

The happy and lucky but fiery and stubborn one flicked their white tipped tail. The pretty chocolate one let Jay stand in front of them and protect them.

xxxComet had immediately followed to obey Zeus' frantic order to check on her other ward, and he trotted across the clearing to stand in front of the Elder's den. He had a feeling that the other pack wasn't here to attack, but it was still better to keep his guard up. The proud Beta listened to the exchange between the Fire and Lightning Alphas, his tail raising slightly and the fur prickling on the back of his neck. Humans? What if those disgusting, two-legged killers followed them here? No one was safe. This threat went beyond the borders and the rules. He stayed silent to let his Alpha handle it, though.

Leo slowly breathed out, closing his eyes and snuggling into his friend's fur. He’d heard the words before... and as per usual, it just went right over his head. He had...minimal understanding of such things as romantic love. He certainly had come to understand the love that came in friendships though, and it was certainly true he was at ease and comfortable as could be with Lucas. "Love you too," he mumbled against his friend's fur. "And I know you mean it. Sorry we argued in the first place."

Looking around, none of the Fire wolves had made any kind of aggressive move so far, but Smoke couldn’t help but be suspicious. This was no Meet. No lighthearted affair. The Alphas had disappeared to start talking about something and everyone was tense. So the grey she-wolf nodded. "Yeah. Let’s go. I don’t think they’re here to attack, but sky-dogs only know what happens from here!" Smoke flicked an annoying raindrop from her ear and stood up, trotting over to the Healer den in a strange silence after that.

"NO wolf deserves to die. I’m terribly sorry to hear of your misfortune. It truly is a terrible thing." Shadow had taken the words with a grain of salt when they’d first been mentioned, but the humans had become a far bigger problem than ANY of them had anticipated from the sounds of it. Her heart wrenched. Youngsters, afraid or hurt... innocent wolves, driven from their home by beings that did not belong in the forest. She did not doubt their words. Had it been some trick, then they surely would not have sent the majority of their Pack into the Lightning Pack's home, nor would the proud wolves have confessed so much so openly. She slowly exhaled, closing her eyes, trying to wrap her head around matters. Then she nodded.

"Our Healer is in camp. Gather your Healer and your wounded and I’ll send for Aala to come out and assist you," Shadow finally decided. She lifted her head again. "Then I’ll send our Scout with a couple Warriors to block out some territory you may make use of until it’s safe to return to your camp. Is this acceptable to you? And approximately many are your numbers, so we can scope out the appropriate land?"

He sniffs, wakes up, eats the herbs, gets up and slowly and shakily walks to the Nursery and puts himself firmly in the entrance of the Nursery "I maybe sick, but I will NOT let another pups die while I'm still kicking" he says

She was shocked when her brother suddenly wakes up and gets up "brother where ar-" she says stopping mid-sceantions and smelled the air, "Aala I'll bring him back here, in a moment" she says quickly, then exits the den and stops in horror as She says the rival pack in their camp... she shaked her head and ran to meet her brother "we both will defend the pups" she snarls, she was in fully fight mode

"Sky-dogs watch over us" she says snuggling up to Zeus

They stand down as the male pads away "I knew we'd get a greeting like that" they say turning to Oriole

Enui flicked one ear in response to Shadow's words, her gaze sliding to Max, who stayed silent. Had she said too much? She hoped that he approved of her decision making and what she'd chosen to reveal to the enemy Alpha. Still... the proposition that Shadow gave them was exactly what they needed. They had succeeded in getting her mercy.

"There are a little under twenty of us." She reported to Shadow. "Thank you, Alpha Shadow, for your understanding in this grave matter. While I wish not to hurry you, if you could summon your Healer, I should like to ensure that our own has her injury treated first and foremost. Two Healers are better than one and all that." She reflected. She turned her head to her own leader. "My Alpha, if you have no further need of me, I should like to go gather our wounded so we can get them patched up promptly." She requested of him.
