You know how hunters take their dogs along to fetch their kill. I believe some have gotten loose and are becoming feral." He touched his nose to her shoulder and pulled away slowly. "But do not worry, Loka. Hunting dogs are small or gentle, easily killed or persuaded away. And I haven't found them in or around the camp and territory. Their scent lays about two-hundred yards away from our borders, I have found a deer carcass with their scent on it. I think it would be wise to watch the deer population and where the dogs travel before we attack or do anything." He told her, licking his chest furs.

Rowki followed her at an even pace, dodging trees. "Loka, why on earth would I tell anyone that? I mean, yes, it is surprising, but it's nothing to hide." He murmured. "Besides, you don't have much in you, no one can tell. I won't tell a soul. I promise you that." With his final words he stopped, letting her get ahead. Why would he tell anyone her secret? He was a very loyal wolf and liked to please, especially the wolf he liked.
