Arius

Lifting one creamy paw, Arius -much like a cat - began to groom himself. Sitting in a shaded part of the packs camp, the bush behind him created a shadow just big enough to provide extra protection from the sun's hot rays. Silently the brooding male cleaned his paw, all the while watching his pack-mates wander about the camp. Every so often, a pack-mate would approach him, and he would chase them off with a glare and a grunt. Which really, wasn't much of a fight for Arius. If he ever got really annoyed with a pack-mate he'd just get up and leave, but he found the cool shade to be relaxing. As his wet tongue moved up his leg, a stray thought passed through his head. He shook his head, it was rare that the hunters worked as a unit, at least not when they didn't have a lead hunter to... well lead them.

For Zena, hunting was about relaxation. At least, when she was solo hunting. When she went out hunting with more than one other wolf she often would get agitated and jumpy. So, the blind lupine would often go out on her own, ramping up her hearing and sense of smell up as she went. It made things easier to find and track prey that way. Zena paused, her eerie violet eyes blinking as she came across the scent of a hare. A soft pleased growl rumbled in her throat, as the canine hadn't caught the scent of much in the area she'd decided to go hunting in today. Silently reminding herself to tell the other hunters about it, the tri-colored female padded softly after the scent trail. Once the scent got overwhelming enough she knocked down her sense of smell to a minimal amount, so she could just barely tell where the hare was that way. She kept her hearing ramped up, just like she'd practiced for all that time. With this technique, Zena figured she could catch almost anything she put her mind to.

A low growl rumbled in his chest as his ears lowered, grey gaze narrowing in on his sparring partner. The white female across from him was a formidable opponent at least. For at least an hour the two had been sparring, which had originally started about two miles from the packs camp. Though somehow the spar had migrated from that area to just outside the camp. I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes out here to complain about the noise. Sarus though as he puffed out-breath after breath. To be honest, Sarus was exhausted, his paws hurt, not to mention his muscles. With the number of blows that Heva had left, he was sure that he'd probably gain a few more scar's and probably get sick sooner or later. He at least knew that if Heva was ever taken on a raid in Fire Pack territory that she'd do some major damage. The Bloody female didn't hold back, even with pack-mates!

Heva was really happy that she'd gone to sleep the night before asking herself who she'd be most likely to spar. The flashes of images, fur, blood flying, and the stone under her paws, she'd been confused. It always took time to understand what her dreams were trying to tell her. Of course, her dreams didn't always respond to her questions, and she'd end up with horrible nightmares. Though said nightmares, did from time to time turn out to be warnings of deaths within the pack, or during her time as a loner, had warned her of wolves or areas to stay away from. So Heva was thankful that her power had been rather straightforward last night. When she had awoken this morning half convinced that Fire Pack was going to attack, she quickly realized when around noon, that the dream had meant Sarus. Of course, this was only after he'd invited her to spar with him. But that was neither here nor there. Bleeding heavily from multiple wounds, the white fae's lower legs shook. "Want to call it a draw, Sar?"
Mentally huffing, Heva shook her head. There was no way in the stars that this spar was a draw, though it wasn't really a fair fight with his healing factor. She groaned as a rush of red overcame one side of her vision. I really need to visit Icicle and Icey after this. It seemed that Sarus had reopened another head injury she'd gotten a few days earlier. The only reason it wasn't healed before is that she hadn't bothered to go and see either of the healers.
