(( Near camp. ))
Reaction was quick to drain the deer. He looked up, scanning the area. Seeing was always hard with six eyes, but he managed.
Something caught his eye. He almost missed it because it was so small. He moved his eyes back to see a small black egg. Reaction blinked his strange eyes. What was that? And why was it here?
Stepping foreward to get a closer look, he realized as he got closer and closer that the egg was actually quite large. About the size of his head. He placed a paw on it. It was warm, containing life. He couldn't eat it, that was for sure. It was too big.
Suddenly, the egg moved. It wobbled from side to side, appearing almost... happy. Reaction snorted. Eggs can't move! Or feel emotions for that matter. But sure enough, the black egg was moving. No cracks were in it. It was just wobbling from side to side.
Reaction blinked, and then grumbled. He was seeing things. This egg wasn't really there. It couldn't be. He turned around, walking away from the black egg.
After a few minutes, he began to hear a sound. The sound of movement. Rolling. He turned his head back to see the egg rolling twords him. His eyes widened as it rolled, bumping into his huge paw. He stared down at it in awe.
