The black and minimally white dingo yawned a bit, shaking her head softly. She glanced through the door when the cat spoke to her again. She nodded her head, saying “I don’t remember...a forest somewhere.”

Nox- Wolf (black)- Shadows- Male- Home- Tags: Nixx/Mao
Meanwhile, the black and minimally white wolf huffed again, snorting and shaking his head. He stretched out his legs, twitching his paws, then shook his head. His tail flicked gently, ears twitching as he listened.


Neko- Cat (brown tabby)- Dragonhearted- female- Tags: Niko, Sombra
Neko nodded to her, sniffing again. "Do we...go check it out? It could be dangerous..." she broke off.

Niko- Fox dog- Normal- male- Tags: Neko, Sombra
The fox dog mix flicked his tail from his spot on Neko's back. He clung on as best he could.

The magenta eyed mare stood by, not wanting to disturb. She didn’t exactly hunt...well, of course.

The striped gingery and white hatchling nodded to the Norwegian Forest cat. His tail stilled as he glanced to his twin.

The light gingery dragon hatchling huffed softly a bit, looking at Loren...She nodded to Arch Bringer, slowly and silently creeping forward with him. She hoped she wouldn't step on leaves, or a twig...

The silver maned, tailed and winged Pegasus snorted as she watched Nati go off. By the way, Tera was going by female pronouns today, and would the next few days. She swished her tail as she walked, then began to trot.

Luna thought on the question for a moment, before replying, "I believe we were discussing possible ways to retaliate against the elementals,"

She shuffled her feet as a black ant crawled over her talons. "Go away little creature, these are not your problems, you live a simpler life than we do," she sighed, knowing full well the insect could not comprehend nor respond to her words.

"That's fine, I don't like to talk much about my past either," Mao alluded to the troublesome place he had come from. Before the canids could question him, however, he pulled a smelly green leaf from the drawer and held it up to examine it. "Ah, this one is no good, you can see the rot in the veins," he frowned.

Glancing outdoors, he sighed and turned towards Nix. "I'm afraid I'm out of this certain herb here," he gestured towards the sickly bunch of leaves. I'll have to gather more, it will only be a minute," he explained, snatching a leather pouch from one of the many nooks near his door. Mao slipped the pouch over his orange tabby shoulder and checked the tightness of its straps. "Don't leave please, that would not be a wise decision," he said wryly, before adding, "I only say so because I've seen others do it before,"

"Goodbye, Dusk!" the dark green serpent called after his feline acquaintance, watching as the caracal slipped through his door. Her turned around to Nala and flashed her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I guess that was a bit of a disturbance I caused,"

"Oh Morro, you know it's alright," she assured him. "It was certainly a shock, but any friend of yours is a friend of mine,"

Nala glanced downwards when she heard little Myla snort, and spoke to her softly, "Dusk had to leave because it was getting late, and I'm sure she'll visit again sometime,"

Just then the mottled brown boa constrictor remembered what she had been trying to accomplish earlier, and went hastily back to the kitchen room, turning the stovetop temperature down just before the water boiled over. She let out a sigh of relief.

"Start cleaning up your toys Myla, dinner's almost ready!" she called.

She stood up when he spoke again, tilting her head a moment. “Rot?” she huffed, shaking her head once more. She nodded, flicking her tail in a motion, saying “Then go...It’s for Nox, yes?” she asked, ears twitching a bit. She tilted her head once more, then shook it.

Standing in it, yes, no longer lying just inside the room. “Still don’t feel good here...We aren’t going anywhere.” he muttered.

Luna nodded towards Emrari, encouraging the others to listen to what she had to say. Her tail flicked at the mention of spies, and she took a fervent glance around the clearing for any unwanted listeners. Thankfully, she did not notice anything unusual, and returned her gaze to the plans unfolding before her like the wings of a butterfly.

(Sorry for the random simile I’ve been wanting to spice up my posts a bit lol)

"Whatever you say," the orange tabby cat replied nonchalantly. With a last wave of goodbye, he slipped out the creaking wooden door and into the welcoming arms of the forest. Mao had always enjoyed the company of plants, even before he had discovered he was an elemental.

He sighed deeply, reminiscing of the old days- when a sudden sound yanked him out of the comforts of his mind and back into reality. Mao stifled a yelp, before realizing it was only a twig he had stepped on.

”Stupid twig...” he muttered, opening his mouth to drink in the scents of the various plants, trying to discern the particular flavor of his chosen herb.

Within seconds, the tabby cat found his prize, and gave an ”Aha!” of triumph once he discovered the bright red-orange petals of a poppy head. Leaning over delicately, he picked the plant from the soft earthen floor. Turning around to return home, Mao struggled to hold the poppy without letting the seeds fall out, and put his paws down carefully as to not make any more noise. The last thing he needed was to attract unwanted attention...

Morro, content that the day had ended well, strolled into the kitchen just as Nala was finishing up dinner.

”It’s spaghetti and meatballs,” she said cheerily, despite all that had happened that day. Morro smiled and sat down at the little four seat table in the corner of the room.

When the little serpent noticed her father had gone, she scrambled as fast as possible into the kitchen where she knew her mother must be cooking dinner. Pleasant aromas were overloading her senses and she tumbled through the doorway to see hot, delicious spaghetti and meatballs being served right before her eyes.

”Yummy!” she exclaimed, lunging for the steaming plate set on the table. Luckily, Nala was faster, and swept Myla away with her tail.

”Uh-uh, not yet, it’s too hot,” she explained to the frustrated young snake.

Myla whimpered and replied sulkily, ”But daddy is eating it... that’s not fair!”

Nala laughed quietly. ”He’s not eating it. Look, he’s mixing it up trying to cool it off,”

Myla looked over and realized her mother was right, watching her father move the food around the bowl to help the heat dissipate more quickly. She frowned with impatience and sat down. Dinner would have to wait...

”Now Myla, Don’t u you have some toys to clean up?” Nala reminded her daughter. She had seen the look of disdain on the small boa hybrid’s face, and although she didn’t want to make her child angrier, she had asked Myla to do a certain thing, and she intended that it would get done.

”Go on, by the time you’re done dinner will be ready,” she chided. This seemed to sway the young hatchling, and finally she replied in a grumpy tone,

”Ok...”

"Weeeell... I actually haven't asked Dusk yet... but I'm sure that she'd be willing to do it, and she'd be the best for the job, don't you think? She is an elemental after all, so if you tell her what kind of thing she has to listen for, she would definitely help!" Dawn said, hoping that it was true. His sister was actually a bit hard-headed, and he thought that she'd probably need a bit of convincing before she actually agreed.

"Yes, I have to go little one, I may be back someday though." she smiled at Myla. Then she turned to Morro and Nala. "Thanks for having me, sorry for kinda barging in. If you ever have some time to spare, I'll most likely be nearby in the area!" Then, she turned and exited, leaving the serpents to their peace.

Dusk walked back along the path towards where she knew the meeting was. She kept an eye out to make sure no-one was following her. Then, she walked into the clearing. The meeting was still going, so she quietly slipped towards her brother, who was talking to another Dragonhearted. "Hello, brother. How is the meeting going?" she asked.
