Zero heard some loud yelling and twitched in their sleep, trying to ignore it. They growled a bit, yawning. They fell back to sleep, sighing in their sleep. It's just my mind they thought, It's just my mind...

Lopiad
Striped Dragon
139 Years
Crushing on Lamae Miar
Alone
Beside a Boulder in a Meadow

Lopiad was lost. She was shivering, soaked to the bone, and miserable. Not being one for exploring, she had forgotten where exactly she had last seen the cave she was thinking of, and after wandering in the icy mud for what seemed like hours, she was ready to give up. There was nothing to be done but hunker down in the best shelter she could find. For Lopiad, that was a large boulder that could at least provide shelter from the wind.
She pressed herself again the store, shuddering at the chill surface. Now that the wind was no longer hitting her, Lopiad felt from relief, but the stone was so cold that she did not want to touch it either. Lopiad sighed and steeled herself against the discomfort. Hopefully, the rain would stop soon.

Uvnow
Daydream Dragon
93 Years
Single
Alone
Under a Tall Tree

The cat-headed phoenix rushed past him in midair, thrusting a piece of the food she had been distributing into his paws as she went. Uvnow transferred it to his mouth for more secure carrying, and flapped his wings harder, pressing through the storm until he came to one of his favorite trees. It looked like Skyfire was too busy to talk much.
The leaves grew thickly and left little room for water to drip down below, so he was quite comfortable when settled beneath the tree. It was there that he began to examine his gift. The flavors had filled his mouth in the time he was carrying it. It was tantalizingly delicious. Breads, cheeses, and tomato sauce merged together in a comforting symphony of flavors. Uvnow made a mental note to ask what this food was called later, and finished it off. Then, he curled himself into a ball with his long tail wrapped around him and began to drift off to sleep to wait out the storm.

Ocuxum
Striped Dragon
86 Years
Single
With Flicker
At Flicker's Cave

Flicker's concern over the state of her home reminded Ocuxum that he was imposing uninvited, so he was quick to calm any concerns regarding his comfort. He would much rather convince her to let him stay for awhile instead of going back out in that nasty weather.
"No, don't worry about it. I just came here to get out of the rain."
Ocuxum paused and gazed off towards the cave's entrance. The thundering sound of thousands of raindrops crashing into the ground below told him that the storm was still very much active.
"I hope it's not too much trouble."
Flicker seemed more preoccupied with chores for the time being, but Ocuxum lacked the dexterity to assist with such delicate tasks as putting books on shelves or skinning rabbits. He felt a little awkward looking on, being painfully aware that he was just sitting there, relaxing, while Flicker did all the work. Then, she mentioned another individual that might be joining the two to make a trio.
"Bask, the basilisk...", he echoed. "Hm... Can't say I know him, but Flicker, you really should take a breath."
Musing turned to an amused chuckle at Flicker's persistence in fussing over details.

The dark red mare huffed as she trotted through a meadow, having left the forest trails just moments before. She snorted out a breath, shaking herself, then continued on. She soon began to canter, calling out, but didn’t see any creature-else around. She sighed softly, shaking her head, moving into a gallop. She squealed as she jumped over one of the random rocks, moving on.

The mostly black, three tailed fox rolled around on the ground a moment, then flipped over. He stood up, stretching, shaking himself off, then glanced around. Another lonely day... he sighed at his own thoughts, huffing. He left his homing area, deciding he was going to take a walk today.

Lopiad
Striped Dragon
139 Years
Crushing on Lamae Miar
With Kerin
Beside a Boulder in a Meadow

Lopiad had started drifting into a feverish, uncomfortable sleep when she was suddenly jolted awake by the sounds of equine whinnying. She slowly blinked her golden eyes open and gave her head a soft shake to keep the pouring rain from obscuring her vision. Sure enough, Lopiad could see a deep red horse, or what looked at first like a horse, galloping across the meadow and calling out, as if they were looking for something. Lopiad did not recognize the creature, so they were not likely searching for her. Besides, her bright white and gold-striped scales should stand out against the muddy greys of the stormy landscape. Lopiad decided to stay put and see if the creature approached or continued on past her. She was so cold her paws were numb, and she was far too uncomfortable to go on any errands of curiosity at the moment.

Her skin shuddered from the drops of rain, the sensation always seeming to irritate her horse-hair coat. She snorted and shook herself, not that it would help, and happened to catch sight of a dragon. The stripy dragon didn’t appear to be doing so well, because she didn’t even move to make sure Kerin wasn’t a threat, or show this was her territory...if it even was. The mare snorted, trotting up to the boulder the dragon was on. “Are you alright? Do you need help?” she asked, concerned.

Skyfire- Female- Cat head Phoenix

Skyfire swooped down and landed into a clearing. She flew up and soared swiftly through the storm clouds. She cut holes in the clouds without fear of the crackling thunder. STORMCUTTER LOL
She started to breathe blazing fires on the ground and cook pizza on them. Landing past Flicker's cave she saw a rabbit and gave it a slice of carrot pizza. She flew once more in to the cave and started keeping the fire there. She gave Flicker a slice of pizza, flying out. Looking around she found a soaking wet Striped Dragon and tried to make her not wet with fire and pizza. She hopped back to Flicker's cave and found out that her tail feathers weren't burning, so she put her tail in the fire. She decided to stay in the cave because she didn't want her tail feathers in danger.

Flicker laughed with Oxucum, continuing to watch the cooking rabbit intently, when Skyfire flew in. Flicker wasn’t necessarily a friend of Skyfire, finding her a bit annoying, but it would be rude to refuse her a visit, especially in this weather. ”Hello, Skyfire.” Flicker spoke tensely, tucking the slice of pizza away for later. ”How are you doing, my fellow Phoenix?” Flicker suddenly seemed very interested in the cooking meat, averting her gaze. ”Ordinarily I would prefer if not everyone come into my cave uninvited, but I suppose it wouldn’t do much good to throw you back into the storm now. I have enough food going for three, although if another guest comes you may have to subsist on your pizza.” Bold golden eyes flicked toward her bookshelf, and she nimbly hopped over, taking one out and holding it in a talon, using her “thumb” to flip the page when needed.
heyo! I’m Tai, a teenage animator and artist with a passion for animals! I’m not really in the pets game anymore, mostly here for art (buying and selling!) and minigames.

I go by she/her but tbh I won’t be at all offended if you get it wrong, have a great day!

Lopiad
Striped Dragon
139 Years
Crushing on Lamae Miar
With Kerin
Beside a Boulder in a Meadow

Sure enough, the deep red horse approached her, and as the creature drew nearer, Lopiad could now tell that this was not a horse at all. Horses had flowing, silky tails, not wirey reptilian ones. The ornate horns atop the creature's head confirmed that this was a Kirin that Lopiad was dealing with. This Kirin skipped all formalities of greetings or introductions and jumped right to an inquiry as to Lopiad's safety.
"I-it's this rain...", Lopiad managed to say between shivers. "But, I d-don't suppose you could st-stop it."
She folded her wings a little tighter against her now-icy body, but it was no use. As a cold-blooded variety of dragon, this persistent rain and lack of shelter was taking its toll. Lopiad needed an external source of heat to maintain her body temperature. The longer she stayed out in the open, the worse it would be for her, but she had already searched unsuccessfully for shelter so long that she had given up on wasting her precious energy on wandering around. Instead, she saved it, trying to conserve what lingering body heat she had in the hopes that the storm would eventually pass.
A flash of light caused Lopiad to open her eyes again as a bird-like creature swooped down and spewed fire, leaving a piece of that same cheesy bread-like food before soaring off again. The fire provided a temporary warmth, but it was gone in an instant under all the rain that continued to pour. Lopiad was uninterested in the food left on the boulder at the moment, but she thought it would probably disappear quickly once the storm ended, unless this kirin visitor wanted it.

Ocuxum
Striped Dragon
86 Years
Single
With Flicker and Skyfire
At Flicker's Cave

Ocuxum sensed Flicker's unease at the unexpected arrival of a familiar guest. That is, a guest that Ocuxum recognized, though he rarely saw her around Flicker's place. He felt a pang of guilt at having let himself just minutes ago as Flicker scolded Skyfire for doing the exact same thing, though Ocuxum did not dwell on it. Being a cold-blooded dragon, it was rather dangerous for him to be out in the storm. He figured health-related reasons for being so impolite were probably excusable, whereas a fiery phoenix should have little problem keeping warm. As far as he was concerned, the situations were different.
He remained quietly at his place by the fire, keeping a watchful eye on it in case any wood needed adjusting. Flicker seemed to have things handled well enough, and he hoped that Skyfire would get the hint and tone it down on her own. Ocuxum had always been fascinated by avians and personally quite liked Skyfire, but it was clear that Flicker did not share his sentiment. It would be quite awkward if the two started fighting, but since this was Flicker's house, he would have to take her side.

She shook herself again, sighing, pawing the wet earth with a forehoof. Snorting, she whipped her tail, then studied the dragon a moment. She glanced up when the fire bird flew over, shaking her head, knowing the flames on the ground would go out...and then they did. She sniffed at the pizza, not sure how the stranger above had come about such a thing, then tasted a bit. Not her kind of food, though the sauce wasn’t bad. She touched her nose to the dragon, focusing on her again, and spoke. “Can you get up on by back? I radiate natural heat, so...I have a place we can go, to get you out of this cold.”

At this point, anything was better than sitting around out here. Lopiad did not even think about her pride. Rather, when she felt the comforting heat of the kirin's soft nose against her scales, she felt a flickering of spirit well up within her.
"I think I c-can...", Lopiad mused. "If you could l-lay d-down, maybe, but a-are you sure I'm n-not too heavy?"
The striped dragon lacked the energy to either leap onto the kirin's back or to take flight, but she felt that once she was up there, she would be able to keep a decent grip. A bigger problem was weight. Being roughly the size of a tiger, Lopiad weighed a few hundred pounds. She certainly did not think she could carry another dragon her size on her back, but maybe this creature was stronger than she looked.
