The Hydra brothers looked around the cave, their eyes finally adjusting to the darkness. Claw saw a large bird, and signaled the others. They stared at it in awe, all except Spear, who was glaring at it instead. "I-I didn't know birds got that big!" Scale whispered in fear. Spike nodded in agreement. The other two made rude looks at the bird, wondering if it would notice.

Aprico saw the hydra staring at him, and turned towards him. ...Was this some kind of weird snake with legs? Whatever it was,it was some kind of lizard. He glared back at it, wondering if he should attack. "What are you?" he asked it.

Zara nodded her head in response in acknowledgement. "Well I think we all have the same question in mind Rose....How do we get out of here? Did you by any chance come across an exit? Or maybe someone else who might know what happened?" Not caring that she still felt a little weak being that she only woke up a short while ago, she was determined to find a way to leave this dang cave. "Well I'm going to see if I can come across some of the others and see if they know anything. Would you like to join me Rose? It'd be better than being alone." Zara looked at Rose and awaited her answer, smiling softly.

Rose shook her head no to Zara's first question. "I haven't seen any kind of exit," she said, "just more cave." She nodded slowly as the she-wolf continued. She couldn't help the a tiny smile as the other wolf asked her to join her in an expedition to find a way out. She was right; it would be much better than being by herself. "Yes, I'll come with you," she said, standing up again. "Surely someone must have seen a way out. Let's go."

Zara nodded her head, "thank you for coming with me, I don't really want to deal with whatever kind of creatures are here with us alone." Starting forward, she walked further into the cave slowly. It was somewhat dark and she was still feeling sleepy. Looking back, she was glad to see that Rose was right there with her.

Rose nodded understandingly. "Neither do I," she agreed following closely behind the other wolf. She could see her own anxiety in Zara's posture and movements, and gave her an encouraging look. Even though she had just met her, Rose felt like the she-wolf was something more than a friend. More like... a member of her pack.

Spear hissed at the bird. "Something you should be afraid of," He responded, hoping the bird would actually fear them. Claw hid his head under one of their wings out of embarrassment "Just wait 'till we get big! Then we can eat you in one bite!" Spike lied, knowing that chances of them growing big that suddenly was pretty low. All the other Hydras their age were huge, and by the way the bird didn't know what they were, it probably didn't know that either. Scale just stared at the bird, jaws gaped open.

Suyin had walked as far as she dared in one direction, not seeing anything of interest. She sighed and made her way back to where she believed all the other animals were, not wanting to find herself alone with that...thing wandering about. She looked around the area one last time- and found a small tunnel. It seemed not to lead anywhere, but it didn't look occupied. This may be interesting.

Aprico looked over the weird snake, looking at how small he was compared to him. Would they really grow larger all of a sudden?

...He doubted it. He really doubted it.

So he just flared open his wings, emitted a silent screech and leaped at them, his claws landing an inch away from one of the heads, trying to seem intimidating.

Scale made a slight shreik noise, backing up as the bird landed directly in front of him. Spike drew his neck back, knowing his lie probably didn't work. He didn't really care, because the bird seemed to be trying to scare his siblings. He snickered quietly at them. Claw began to freak out a little, not knowing what they should do, but it looked like he didn't need to because Spear had it all under control. Spear growled and gripped onto the bird's leg with his teeth. He hoped that would get the bird away.

Aprico screeched, hoping that he wasn't loud enough to bring anything to the area. He kicked the snake-thing off him, looked at the bite mark on his leg, and then leaped on the snake-thing. He used his claws to hold it down, staring at it to see if it would dare do something. He flicked his wings nervously; he still didn't know where he was, and there were things with teeth here!
