Five hundred years ago a great feud tore apart a once great herd, torn between following
the reigning family and those considered worthy of leading the great power crumbled under
their own bickering. The Areo and Vesperum herds formed from the rift and since have
lived in an uneasy peace, any slight argument threatened to bring war. Now something has
happened that will bring the war forward, the heir to the Areo throne was found murdered
in a river. Grief stricken and angered the Areo herd has been threatening war unless the
Vesperum herd gives up the murderer. Will they give up one of their own? Or is war the answer?

Areo Herd
One of the world's oldest herds that still stands strong to this
day, relying on their battle tactics and strength to guide them
they are exceptional in battle and adequate in diplomacy.
They run similar to a kingdom with a king and queen ruling over,
the same blood line has been in power since the herd's start.

Areo horses are draft breeds, displaying great strength and size.
Areo horses vary greatly in color and can include any pattern
or marking. Their wings are very large in size due to needing to
carry their weight and as opposed to horns they typically have
large, sharpened antlers capable of doing serious damage. Ones
born without antlers are placed in the lowest ranking.

The Areo's have managed to avoid starting the war so far but after
the heir of the king and queen was found murdered on their land
they have given the Vesperum herd an option.

Areo horses live in the plain and forest region with a large river
providing their source of water.

Vesperum Herd
The Vesperum herd formed after several horses disagreed with
how the next ruler of the Areo herd was chosen. They formed
a herd with ranks based off of earning them as opposed to given.
They are not as well practiced in battle as the Areo herd but are
wonderful diplomats, the herd is run by a single leader.

Vesperum horses are smaller in size and rely more on speed and
agility to battle instead of brute strength. As far as coloring goes
darker colors are more common for them and whites are rare to
find. Appaloosa and Pinto coats are not seen in the herd unless
it is an outsider and coats such as buckskin are uncommon. Any
type of marking can be found. Vesperum horses have smaller
wings to more easily maneuver and have a singular horn.

The Vesperum herd live in the more mountainous region with a
single small grassland and lake available to them.

The Vesperum herd has been faced with a decision from the Areo
herd, to find out who killed the heir and give them up to the
Areo herd or to go to war against them.
