"If you have to use your abilities, use them," Sanya stated, "I'm not sure what it is as of right now, but be very cautious. If it's infected, then you should try not to get very close to it. Even watching it could endanger your life."

Twig shivered as she thought she heard banging. She looked around with her blind eyes, trying to hear whatever it was. Zen whimpered a bit, trying to understand and think of logical answers. He didn't know what this creature was, alien or not.

[Fortune's Fool]

"Endanger is a mild way to put it," Virus laughed softly, "even discounting the possibility of infection, the thing's been aware of me since it reentered the vents. I've been leading it in circles trying to keep it distracted." Speaking of, it was definitely time to move again. There was a muffled thump from over the comm suddenly, followed by Virus swearing under his breath and hurried footsteps.

"Are you okay?" Sanya asked, "You have to get out of there. Kuvira said there's a possibility of us trapping that thing in the vents. It will slow it down and give us some breathing room to come up with a plan to catch this thing."

[Fortune's Fool]

"I'm fine!" Virus almost sounded like he was having fun. still laughing softly, "never felt more alive, actually! Closing the vents isn't going to stop it for more than a minute or two, I can tell you that. I just need to get it to a section where I can maneuver a bit better, then I'll try to take it down."

[Bronzewing]

Kuvira gave a tap to the communicator, as Virus's voice suddenly cut off. "Are you still there? Virus? What's the plan?" Giving it another tap with increasing worry, she debated calling the captain back.

[Fortune's Fool]

"Kuvira?" Virus swapped back to his channel with her, sounding slightly out of breath but still in a decent mood. Better than he had been before this apparent chase had begun anyway. "Need a favor. Can you lock down the entire second section of the vents except for area 2-D? I'm gonna try and knock it out, but for that to happen I need it to stop moving to other areas and focus entirely on me."

[Bronzewing]

"Alright. For confirmation, the entire second section except for 2-D?" She ran over to the controls with communicator tight in paw, opening up the necessary page. Her paw hovered over the CLOSE button, her other one holding the communicator up to her ear so she could hear Virus's words.

"That's correct!" There was the sound of claws on metal briefly as he skidded to a halt, pausing for just long enough to assure himself that he was still being followed and it hadn't veered off again. If it had, the noise drew it's attention because he could hear it nearby. "And uh, keep an eye on the main systems, I don't want to accidentally cause a power surge or something, there's gonna be enough to explain after this as it is."

"Alright, closing now." Kuvira said, tapping the button and soon after seeing the familiar confirmation and success messages. "Alright, should be closed. Tell me if anything looks off to you." She hoped she could still hear him and that the vent closing didn't change anything, but for now she believed it should be fine. "What's up there with you, anyways? I don't think the cameras are up over there."
