Tiger pounced on a stray leaf that moved across the ground. He mewled, leaping on top of the leaf and digging his claws into it. He giggled happily, amused by his 'hunting skills'. The kitten lifted his head, flinching when a demon appeared in the distance. Before he could react, an older she-cat slayed the beast, causing Tiger to gasp in awe. He crouched low as he watched her, his eyes darting back and fourth as he watched her move. He never saw a demon when going outside before, as he never went beyond his yard too often, and it was a horrific thing to see. Tiger could tell that she was like him, yet he couldn't do the thing she did. "You killed that thing? I didn't know cats could do things like that!" He asked in a bright tone, his tail swaying lightly as he slowly approached the she-cat, stopping and sitting down when there was a good distance between them. He frowned as he looked at his paws. "All I can do is this." He raised his paw over a leaf, and it suddenly crushed into a tiny ball without him even touching it. He stuck his arm out full length, causing the balled up leaf to roll away into the distance. A human may faint at the sight, but Tiger found it unimpressive, especially when compared to her abilities.

"No I'm fine",Quinn explained. "Every morning I alert others I am not dead" the feline giggled, "and yes I know it's not a pleasant sound". As a modest sized smile grew on her face, she glanced at the falcon wondering if she had seen him around the neighborhood."Sorry to ask, but do I know you"?

Mshai was delighted to see a smile as he returned it. Thankfully, things seemed fine here, and now he understood why in the world she'd make such a sound. When she asked if she knew him, he tilted his head a little. Hm! Guess he was more well known than he thought? "Perhaps? I don't live too far off." he responded a little confused. Mshai transformed in a second, his tail held up with a slight curve in a friendly manner. Afterwords, he sat down and curled it around himself. "Does this help?"

"Hmm?" Amisi turned around in a bit of surprise as she heard his voice. Her cold expression shifted ever so slightly, her eyes brightening up a tiny bit at the fact that a kitten was talking to her. She approached with friendly tail before stopping in front of him. He finished, and she couldn't help but feel a bit of guilt. Now this innocent being has seen death because of her. Even if it was a demon that was eventually going to hurt someone. But Amisi was a bit intrigued by how it reacted to her just killing something. Even more so at his abilities. He must've been blessed, just like her. By Geb. "You're blessed.." she began, her face remaining emotionless despite her inner delight. Gods be praised. Another future guardian of Cairo was born recently, at least a month or so old. Kittens are at the best age to learn, since they're always curious and impressionable. But would he be willing to learn more? "Not bad for your age." Amisi said coolly, settling into the plush grass she grew out to sit on. Maybe Geb will be pleased if she.. taught something to a future addition, she thought. But he had to want to learn.

Mɪᴜ II ♀ II Blessed by Thoth II open

Miu sat now awake under the shade of her favorite tree, looking out among the streets of Cairo. With her tail curled under her body, she yawned before taking a few graceful strides out under the warm sun. She had to find a spot more suitable and tucked away to observe. Can't have any demons spotting her out in the open under a tree. She wasn't sure if they showed up this time of day, but she wasn't foolish enough to try her safety. The cat found a decent spot on a roof, and scaled her way carefully up the face of the house. Getting on the roof itself was a bit difficult due to the overhang, but she managed with a tiny bit of struggle. She walked along the rooftop until she found herself on the peak. No demon could see her up there right away. Now to patrol.. Miu sat idle as a statue, scanning the place to make sure there was no evil. Or mice.

A paltry laugh flowed out of the feline. "I've seen you around, just never stopped to say hello" Quinn chuckled "I'm Quinn by the way, if you didn't know that, but you probably did" Once she transformed back into a house cat, she sat back down on the warm tiles. "So have you seen any demons lately?" Quinn added to fill the silence.

Tiger sat down, his tail wrapping around his paws as he sat in a rather polite posture. He couldn't hide the look of pride on his face when she complimented his abilities. Coming from a cat that could slay a demon, that was impressive to him. He mostly used it when playing with his boy, while his mother simply thought her son had a wild imagination when told that Tiger could manipulate plants. "I've finally got some time to practice now that my boy is going to school," he said, stroking the ground beneath him with his paws. His eyes lit up when he looked up at the older she-cat. "Can you teach me how to turn into a cobra? Or-- how you used grass to grab that thing?" The kit's tone became more excited and he spoke at a fast pace. He quickly shifted from trying to look polite and mature to acting like an excited kitten--which he already was.

Kufu wandered the streets, still shaken from his near-death encounter. A flash of beautiful tabby fur caught his eye. Miu, he thought excitedly. He lifted his tail high, shaking himself to dislodge some of the pale Egyptian dust. Then he followed Miu’s scent, up onto a nearby rooftop. He leapt onto the rooftop with near ease, as he was used to climbing around the humans’ strange brick structures. Once on top of the building, Kufu sat down, blinking his large green eyes. As usual, the she-cat was is a defensible location, where most beings would find it hard to see her. Even more so to get there. “Hello Miu,” Kufu began. “I haven’t seen you in a while. What have you been up to?”

the dark molly tilted her head toward the pretty molly. vandi, is what she called herself, came nasim's inner thoughts. "what a pretty name for such a pretty molly," she purred, then bent to lick the demon goop sloughing off her body. "and it matters to me because i'm a guardian of these streets," she continued. nasim leapt to her feet and made for the trash can beside vandi, swishing her tail to keep her balance before sitting to look at the cat once more. "blessed by the goddess of judgement, madfet herself. i make sure these demons stay in line." with that, she rolled her eyes at the mention of demons. what slovenly creatures!

k h i a l - thoth - streets + kufu + miu

kihal grew nervous in the presence of the black cat in the trees, even though he was nothing more than a street cat. a tittering, nervous sound left his throat and he sprinted after kufu after a moment, a cat he knew vaguely to be a strong tom, one capable of handling problems, unlike khial. he skid clumsily to a halt, panting hard and his lungs heaving, in front of kufu and another cat he barely knew. the young cat glanced between the two, then straightened his posture. he gave his chest a few embarrassed licks, then frowned to keep his normal facade. "kufu, is it? and miu?"

Kufu turned to look at Khial, who had followed him from the tree. He nodded his large head towards Khial as he asked about his name. “Yes,” Kufu replied. “I am Kufu. I apologise about earlier, I just get a bit impatient sometimes. Especially when there are plenty of demons around to fight.” A half-smile crossed his face. He wondered why the smaller tom had followed him, so he asked Khial. “Why did you follow me? I’m just curious, not being rude.”

Mshai's heart swelled upon hearing her response. His suspicions were right. "Heh heh heh.. It's a pleasure to see you, Quinn. I'm Mshai, but you probably already knew that, too." A few moments of silence followed as he awaited either cat to think of something to say. Thankfully, Quinn was the first to speak up. "Demons? Not yet. But those foul beasts better pray I don't find them." he said jokingly, tapping his tail against the roof. "How about you?"

Amisi was pleased. Almost as if he read her mind. Pretending to think hard on the decision, she lowered her head with a thinking tail before looking back to him. "Very well. But know that it requires patience." she responded warmly. "We will start after I know your name. It is more important to your powers than you know."

Miu was beginning to feel like she'll accomplish nothing from remaining up here after a good while of nothing moving. Before she could fly off in her ibis form, a cat could be heard behind her, along with a familiar voice. "Kufu? Why, it's nice to see you." she mewed warmly. "I've just been here, looking down the roof to see what I can find." Almost right away after that, another cat she barely recognized followed, possibly following him. "Yes. But you were.. following him?"

Tiger gasped in excitement, immediately jumping to his paws and standing tall. He puffed out his chest and held his head high to look big and mature. "I'm ready!" He exclaimed, his eyes wide and glimmering with pride. He blinked when he realized he never actually introduced himself. He cleared his throat once before looking up at the older she-cat. "My name is Tiger! What's your name?" He cocked his head as his tail swished, awaiting a response. The tom was trying so hard to not look too excited, but he was practically vibrating with glee. He always suspected that there was more to his powers than crumpling leaves.

Vandi purred, smirking as she looked down at the she-cat. "Aren't you a flatterer," She chuckled, swishing her long tail back and fourth. "Blessed by Mafdet... That explains your powerful gaze," She said in a smooth, silvery tone. "I am blessed by Hathor, goddess of love." Despite the confident tone in her voice, she did feel a bit like that was underwhelming. Nasim strikes fear into demons, and her? She can change emotions of creatures. It may be useful in combat, should she come across an especially restless demon, but she was more of an offensive type.
