Ｔｈｅ Ｏｒｉｇｉｎｓ
The nordic wolves are an old and sacred species. The gods spoke to the wolves many centuries ago, back when
wolves did not live in packs. Wolves used to think they were the most powerful being in the realm. One day, the
gods sent down a raven to a young wolf. The raven dropped a fine spear, a spear crafted by the gods themselves.
The raven helped the wolf learn how to use his spear, and he became the most successful hunter in the land. Soon,
another wolf was selected by the gods. They awoke to find a fence made from wood in their territory. And soon,
the wolf learned to put caribou inside the fence; becoming the first wolf to tame their prey as opposed to hunt.
And finally, the final gift was to be given. The third wolf awoke and found a knife between his paws and an odd
black wolf threatening him. The wolf picked up the knife and slayed the stranger, becoming the first wolf to have
used knives when in combat. Wolves traveled from great distances, asking to learn how to wield their tools. This
would become the foundations of the three tribes: Hrafn, the tribe of hunters, Heimdragi, the tribe that tames
beasts, and Drengr, the tribe of warriors. Centuries after their creation, the tribe wolves still thrive and live in
harmony with one another. With the Norse gods as their guide, the wolves of the tribes shall thrive forever.

The Hrafn wolves come from the first wolf to hunt with spears, and the first wolf to have received a gift from the
gods. They believe strongly that hunting is the true nature of the wolf, and that hunting is the most important skill
that a wolf can possess. Wolves are trained from the moment their eyes open to understand the world around them.
They are taught to respect the lives that they have to take for their survival, and they are told stories about their
ancestors. To this day, they keep and tame ravens to assist and guide them. Ravens are so sacred to these wolves
that their tribe was named after them.

The territory

Hrafn wolves live inside the coniferous forest. Their dens are made from
either the fallen trees and coniferous branches, or they are made from rocks.
They carve old norse characters into trees to mark their borders.
Their territory is plentiful in wild game to hunt, both big and small.
However, they do tend to become scarce during the winter.

Ｈｅｉｍｄｒａｇｉ ｜ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴏꜰ ʙᴇᴀsᴛs
The smallest of the three tribes, the Heimdragi tribe is a spiritual and respectable tribe. They aren't traditional
in the sense of how the obtain food. Rather than hunt, they tame and breed caribou within their territory. They
are very valuable trading partners, as the neighboring tribes often go to them for food when prey is scarce.
They are very respectful of the caribou that they raise, sometimes even naming them. The other packs may
view them as soft or abandoning the ways a true wolf should behave, but they find comfort in their lifestyle.
Caribou are very sacred to the tribe, as they make use of every part of the caribou. Some caribou are spared
from being used for meat and are used to pull sleighs and carry supplies.

The territory

The tribe lives within the valleys, and they are the farthest from the
tribes and among the most isolated. Though they trade with the other
tribes, they don't interact with them too much beyond that. Their dens
are either dug into the sides of the mountains to create homes, or they
use caribou pelts to make dens. There is a large fence housing over one-
hundred caribou. There is a small stream that runs through the valley
that gives the tribe and their cattle fresh water. However, it can freeze
up during the winter. Despite the isolation, they are sheltered from most
threats inside the valley. However, there are few naturally growing herbs.
Herbalists either need to explore outside of the valley for herbs or trade
for some. It can also be rather cold and harsh in the valley during winter,
and maintaining food for the caribou may be difficult in those times.

There is one thing that the Dregnr wolves value above all else and that is strength and combat skills. They
believe a wolf who cannot fight is hardly a wolf at all. Dregnr culture is known for being rather harsh and rough,
with strict expectation for wolves and lots of pressure put on them at a young age. They feel such a way of life
builds character and strength. Wolves who become a year of age must fight the other wolves their age to prove
their worth. Wolves who fail will either be ranked as hunters or lowly caretakers. As the largest and strongest
of the three tribes, the Dregnr wolves feel like they have to uphold their reputation. Very rarely would they
even banish wolves who could tarnish their name.

The territory

The Dregnr tribe resides in the open plains, using rocks as border-
markers. Dens are made from pelts of their prey, with the larger dens
belonging to the higher ranked wolves. There are a few logs that are sat
upright and are used to train wolves, similar to that of a punching bag. There
are several shrines and religious objects throughout the territory, as the Dregnr
wolves are the most traditional of the three tribes (religious-wise). In the
center of the territory, there is a large circle made up of stones. This is where
young wolves fight. It is located in the center so all the wolves in the pack can
see and admire their strength and power.
