for years the three herds: sun herd, mountain herd and mountain herd have thrived. sun herd, remembered by their quick steeds and strong- born foals, have lived within their beliefs of the moon mare. their coat colors stay in an array of gray, red, bay, sable, chestnut, buckskin, and palomino. under each other's warmth for years, even though of their many enemies. mountain herd, is known for their low intelligence, compared to moon herd, however show such high strength. in many cases, as to compare, mountain herd is simply alike to shadow clan, however consists of a few merciful yearlings and elderly mares. mountain herd carries multiple shades of gray in their coats, and are well built, with a dangerous appearance. mountain herd carries a large collection of varied color stallions, and are known for their slyness, and distance to the other herds. through the order, years have soared past the Pegasus's hooves, yet no major problem has occurred until a misty spring, jungle herd disappeared completely, leaving no sign of the cause. war broke out as the herds began to fight, accusing each other of the mystery of jungle herd. at first it was just arguments until blood broke out and many horses joined the spring valley, and the three over stallions decided to separate, and become complete enemies with each other. although the blood has died out, hatred still is strong. it gets worse as the white skies approach and snow falls. will the herds suffer once again, against the cruel season, or will the be forced to either leave altogether?

only accepting snow and sun herd currently.

the worst part of all:
rules-
I agree with all of you. rules are boring, terrible, useless, and.. worse, but to keep this role play going well, it's not like I have a choice.

ii. all tess's rules apply

ii. please don't have "perfect characters", add flaws

iii. don't power play ( you cannot be immortal to being hit on the leg with a hoof, for example:
"antwing felt rage at the other over stallion, cricketwing, and quicker then any of the warriors could react, he raised his sharpest hoof and reared, bringing it down on cricketwing's neck. cricketwing dodged, however was hit again on his back, but he shook it off and ran off"

iv. no drama, at any time unless given permission

v. you must ask the user before injuring/ killing them in any case

vi. images not required, you may use horse images.. because..

vii. respect your fellow role players

viii. if someone does not reply to whom you tagged, tag another user, do not keep quoting your message for the next five times. that is considered spam in some cases.

〈 RICKY // MALE // YEARLING // SUN HERD 〉〈 TAGGED; FLICKERBLOSSOM 〉

Ricky bounded towards the dappled mare with a spring in his step. He'd never been
more pleased with himself. He had found a way to learn about his father. But first
he needed to talk to the healer about his hoof ache. He certainly couldn't stalk
through another herd's territory (especially Mountain Herd's with all the rocks) if
his hoof was sore. As he approached, he slowed and poked his head around the
bushes concealing the healer's workspace. Apparently horses in pain were obtuse
about their privacy (Ricky often heard squabbling over the bushes' height). Seeing
no other horses that needed tended to, Ricky approached Flickerblossom. "Excuse
me, miss; I think I need my hoof inspected. It's sore and I'm afraid I may have hurt
it while running in the meadows." He patiently sat his haunches in the neat and
trimmed grass, slightly lifting the leg that bore the aching hoof.

Flintwing grew restless and quickly pulled himself up. He already missed the comfort
of his bedding spot, but he had to do something. He stretched his legs and trotted in
place for a few brief seconds. He tossed his head and flicked his tail. He wasn't like
this usually but something felt different. He pricked his ears and listened to the herd
wake up and begin a new day. Flintwing immediately laid eyes upon Duskfire, the
horse who had come from Sunherd. Part of him resented Duskfire for that, but he
knew it was highly irrational; Duskfire was a loyal horse, and a strong one too. He
galloped over to where Duskfire and a few other warriors sat. He stretched his wings
and reluctantly tucked them back at his side. Their creamy color matched the early
morning clouds that trapped the golden hour's beautiful colors. "Duskfire, follow me
please." He spread his wings quickly and departed rather noisily but he didn't care
about the sounds he made, he was anxious. Flintwing could feel danger in the marrow
of his bones and it irked him. Something was out of place and not knowing what
would cause stress. He told himself the danger must be a big battle, but something
didn't sound right about that. Either way, he must say what he needed to say to
Duskfire, battle or not (although the thought of a large battle provoked his urgency).
Flintwing glanced behind him to make sure Duskfire was following as instructed.
This meeting was important. If there was a battle... if he... like goosewing. He
shivered. Goosewing had chosen him to take his place, and now Flintwing
had made a choice too.

moon cloud | mare | lead mare | snow herd | here
moon cloud would flex her muscles, gazing calmly at the crowd of Pegasus grazing. her warriors had found the first sweet grass of the season, and there is nothing more then sweet grass that could bring down a stallion in her herd. right after discovering it, she had posted two warriors on guard, stiffly watching for any threats instead of eating and had snapped for the young' uns to stay near the middle, although they protested for their dignity. she herself adored the sweet grass but refused to take a break from her duty, flicking her mane as a cold breeze passed. however in that very breeze carried the mountain and sun herd scent as they grew relentless and drew nearer and nearer to the borders, in search for water and better grazing ground. it was a horrible idea and she would not allow it. the lead mare promised herself to protect and lead her head coolly. They wanted war? she would give it to them.

duskfire | stallion | warrior | mountain herd | here
duskfire would rise from his nest, in which he shared with no one, shaking his mane to attempt to rid himself of the cold. he did not hesitate as she quickly stood and trotted over to the other warriors, strong mountain stallions who he had always tried to side with. where is flintwing? his thoughts were answered when he trotted over and told the stallions to follow him into the skies. duskfire arched back his head and gracefully leapt into the sky, follow flintwing's exact movement with such effort. the strong stallion seemed to blend in with the sky, his creamy colors of his coat matched the morning clouds and duskfire felt a deep need to suggest going higher, but simply ignored it. as flintwing came to a pause, he stared into his eyes and flicked his tail, wondering if he really wanted to hold some important meeting at a dark hour like this. he thought so.

flickerblossom | mare | medicine mare | sun herd | here
flickerblossom would be organizing her precious herbs when she heard ricky explaining about his soar. she paused to glance over it, gazing with small eyes at the yearling. "sore? perhaps without realizing it, you have run through the sharp rocks by the river, which is still in the meadow and have either cut or bruise your hoof. nothing a young yearling can't handle", she would whinny before mixing up an ointment with her feathers and cupping it in her wing to help against ricky's hoof before covering it with another layers of cobwebs so it with hold. "go easy on it, or else you'll have to come back to me!", she neighed, good naturally before turning to him, her eyes flashing with fierceness, "there's a real reason why you want to be in tip, top shape? exploring perhaps, stealing? I know that you'd usually wait days until you go to me and this is quite a surprise, but take it easy. I'm not going to stop you or tell anyone but be careful if you must do it.. I understand the feeling"

brightsky | filly | yearling | mountain | here
brightsky gazed up from her spring flower nest and shook herself to rid of any flower petals stuck. of course some stayed. before long she had trotted out of the cave, looking for her father, to dreamily gaze at the strong warriors take up to the skies, somewhat gracefully lifting. she had to admit, her father was probably the best flier she knew, unlike her who was still trying to fly silently.she twitched her head and began to graze in the crunchy, burn tasting grass, closing her eyes at the bitter taste. it was disgusting and she hoped to never eat it again, but that was all they had for now, and she knew she had to be thankful and set an example for the softer horses around her.

Scorch | Colt/Yearling | Mountain Herd | Tags: open

Scorch was dragging himself slowly around the Mountain Herd grazing area, his tail flicking away the ever annoying flies, as he searching achingly for even a small patch- Scorch would have even accepted a blade- of clean, fresh grass. His spirits sank with every step, and, even though it was a fruitless effort, he continued to look.

The sound of hooves stomping and wings flapping caught his attention. Peering up, he could see a group of Mountain Herd stallions taking off into the sky with powerful bursts. He felt a swell of pride for his herd; even in these hard times, they were still the fiercest fliers around.

Ricky was tempted to lick his newly wrapped foot, it smelled so good with
the herbs in there. He recoiled from the thought when Flickerblossom
tightened some cobwebs around it. He had tasted those as a younger
colt and did not like it one bit. His eyes grew suspicious when the
mare questioned him about his adventures. "How do you know that
I haven't waited a few days, perhaps I have." He stole an anxious
glance toward Mountain Herd's territory. It was farther than it had
looked earlier. His ears drooped and his eyes grew solemn. He
hopped up and ran, favoring his sore hoof, before the healer could
reply, shouting back a warm "Thank you!" as he went.

⁅ FLINTWING // MALE // OVER STALLION // MOUNTAIN HERD ⁆ ⁅ TAGGED; DUSKFIRE ⁆

▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪

Duskfire was definitely following him. Catching his eyes looking upwards in a
way that resembled greed but was not nearly as intense, Flintwing though
he may take them higher. Two other stallions we flying next to each-other
behind Duskfire. They were also very strong and respected members of
Mountain Herd. Three, yes three would be enough, he thought as he drew
upwards. As they passed some colts in the sweetgrass meadow, they gazed
up in what Flintwing only imagined was awe and respect. He thought he
recognised one as Duskfire's daughter, but he couldn't be sure with his
current height in the air. He began to slow and then grew still, giving
enough time for the stallions behind him to realize they were stopping
and form a small circle. They were right above a cloud, almost on top
of it, and Flintwing hoped that would hide them from view. He didn't
need the mares and other stallions needlessly worrying. He took a deep
breath. "I can sense something is wrong. My dreams last night was of the
strangest thing, and a brutal thing at that. All of the herds were warring
and many pegasus died. I am not sure if this is coming or not, but I say
we be prepared. Warriors must train harder and teach the mares to fight
as well. Colts and other small horses will need to learn how to hide well
and defend themselves against predators, for if this great war happens,
they cannot cower behind the mares who will be fighting." He paused to
let it soak in. What he was going to say next would surely shock them.
He was a strong horse and a fought very fiercely and well. "And if there
is a great war to come, we need to take other precautions... I may fight
with all the loyalty and strength in the world that I can muster, but I
am surely not invincible... and I want you three to listen closely. If I
should die in this great war, do not mourn until the war is won! And do
not falter, because you will be led by another strong horse. In my dream
I saw Duskfire leading the charge, and so it is he that I pick as my heir.
If anything should come of him before I am down, or before he can choose
an heir himself, one of you shall take charge." He looked at the horses
next to Duskfire, then glanced at them all. "Any objections?"
