Jagdhunds most closely resemble a dutch shepherd pitbull mix
A life just new, but
alas my love; thy nature
it will be over soon
"Welcome! Perhaps you are new to this type of thing? I certainly have not seen you around these parts at
least. Maybe you would like a tour of the place? You want to get familiar with the territory don't you? I
can give you the tour myself, which means we can start right away! Pardon my impatience, I haven't seen
another new one of our kind in so long. You start to believe your the last ones if I'm honest. A kind of evil
selfish thought, even if you don't realize it in the moment. But I digress, let's get to home base. Alpha will
be so pleased to see what I've found!" The Jagdhund's tail wags vigorously and then slows, but never putters
out as he leads you back to what he has titled home base. When you arrive, so many other hounds like you
stare at your fur and build, sizing you up, questioning. Some growl and others smile. Some have no expression.
You begin to realize that all of these dogs in front of you have slender but muscular legs, thick tails that thins
the farther from the body it gets, sharp ears that are triangular, and tall but stout faces with large noses and
eyes of one solid color. These dogs are all like you. They are all Jagdhunds, an elusive canid species thought by
some to be a myth and others to be extinct. You never realized how many of you there were. Even though the
group itself is fairly small, it is a lot of dogs to take in all at once when you've never seen anyone else like you
before. As if reading your mind, your guide whispers "And this is just our pack. There are several more..." His
voice fades out as you try to absorb all of the new information. The cobblestone path is cracked and bleeding
water. Grasses half dead spring up from these pools. A few pups nibble at the grasses and pounce on eachother,
unaware of the disturbance in their ranks or just too young and wrapped up in their play to care. Suddenly, a
shimmering jagdhund larger than most dogs you've seen. His coat of silver shimmers and his muscles ripple as he
slinks fluidly like a big cat. He mounts the pile of rubble gracefully in a single bound and stares down upon his
crowd. The dog who brought you whispers towards you "Alpha...". He looks like he desperately wants to shout
out what he brought, what an amazing scout he was, look what he found. But he waits patiently as Alpha settles
as comfortably as possible on his heap of rusted cars and cables. Alpha sits for a moment without twitching and
then makes eye contact with the dog beside you. He lowers his head and dips slightly towards the ground quickly.
Alpha nods; he may speak. He bounces up and spits out words too fast for your stunned brain to process. However
Alpha seems to comprehend the verbal onslaught. He glares next at you, and his icy blue eyes make you squirm in
your fur. Does he expect you to do something? No, you are new, he must not be so unreasonable, right? He sits for
a moment as if waiting for a reaction, then jerks his head to signify that a 'follow the leader game' is in order. Your
concern spikes because your destination is unknown. What's about to happen to you, and how did you even get here?
