“Yeah, summers are always fun. The warm grass, nice breezes, happier people. Now we just need to get through this winter.” Mika settled the opposite side of Ferah so she was between her and Klaus. She was glad to have found shelter. Spending the night on the streets these days just wasn’t an option. Mika rested her head against her paws as her eyes flickered around the room. She wouldn’t sleep just yet. She was far too alert for that. “G’night, you two.” She smiled at both Klaus and Ferah before her eyes moved to the doorway.

“Bye, Bradley!” Kenji barked, his eyes squinting as the dog’s form faded into the night. This searching for Rush had barely given him a moment to register how cold it now was. And for a dog with such short fur, the temperatures weren’t pleasant. “I...I agree. L..let’s rest for now.” His voice stuttered as he shivered to try and cope with the cold. He shot a glare at Ajax’s remark but chose to ignore it. “Yeah, those shacks should work. Maybe there’ll even be some sheets inside for us.” He said as he scratched st the wooden door.”

Jax looked at the pile of torn cushions and gritted his teeth. He was frustrated. And fed up. Before he could grab another to destroy, he dragged himself away, and headed out into the dark corridors. His ears lay flat against his head as he passed the rooms of sleeping dogs. Klaus had been bitten. Though he still didn't want to believe it. And now by the looks of things, Sheeva and a few others had headed out into the night. For what? Jax whined softly and placed his paws against the shattered window. Maybe there was an infected dog roaming the territory. He didn’t give the matter much thought and retreated upstairs. The sound of a dog heavy in slumber caught his attention, and he lingered outside the room for a moment. His eyes laid on Denali, a pack guard for a moment before he drew himself away to continue down the corridor. Now wasn’t the time to be disruptive.
