she grinned, then shook her head similarly to how dogs shake off water to calm herself. she let out a long, low hissing sound, circling around the area where the dragon stood, her bright yellow eyes standing out in the green of the bushes and trees. she raised her crest and changed its color to a deep red with orange tints near the crest rays, beginning the threat display.

Anhrefn - sub female - Dome border - Hailey, Mathias

Anhrefn saw and heard Hailey. She flicked her ears forward, forgetting they'd not be much use. She smelled the fruit and stepped closer, neck extended. She tried to reach into the basket, but it was too small for her muzzle. She huffed, a bit peeved.

Suddenly, she saw another human move in the background. With a growl, she started and backed up two steps. Was this a trap?

Max Schmidt - male wrangler - Dome? - Boreas

Max saw Boreas land in the distance and poured on speed, running over to try and catch the dragon before it got too cold. He arrived, and shivering, spotted his rope. "Hey, you!" He yelled assertively.

Blaine Waters - female vet - Dome - Vienna, Icefire

Blaine watched the two dragons. Oddly enough, the darker female seemed to be taking cautionary measures to avoid a confrontation with the paler one and keep Blaine from danger. Blaine smiled.

He made his size match the dragonesses. Though he is irritated, a fight would allow him to let off some steam. Kahiko waited for the dragoness move.

she slowly spread her wings, the undersides of them the same deep red and orange as her crest. the hissing grew louder and she took a few steps closer, mock-striking then leaping backwards. her mind raced as she tried to think of how to lure him into the air as she was incredibly clumsy at fighting on the ground, yet quite skilled at aerial combat. those four wings did come in handy sometimes.

The man’s eyes widened at the sudden shift in the dragon, immediately noting that beast’s glance at time and raising his hands to show her that he had nothing to work with. Nonetheless, he stayed by the door in case Haily had to make a break for it. Mathias stayed in a nonthreatening pose as he moved back to try to find a more open basket that he could help the other handler switch out if they needed to. The other one did seem to make Anhrefn’s snout hard to open, so hopefully she would get a better read of the situation if it were changed.

Kahiko finally places who this dragon is and runs threw all the information he has collected on her. He knew she was skilled in the sky so he had to keep her grounded. And idea struck him and he smiled mischievously. " Well? Gonna attack or what Nyx, or are you scared? " He taunted her. He formed a plan in his head and decided to go with it, if it didn't work then at least he would enjoy taunting Nyx.

Boreas hears Max coming towards him in aggressive tone. He groans, "This wangler sure is stubborn." He thought to himself. Boreas absorbs most of cold energy before blasting onto both the wrangler's leg. The ice quickly climbs up to his knees. "This should stop him for a while. He can't move them unless using force, but the risk is that he will no longer be having them anymore if he tried." Boreas knew some other ways, but he decided to study the male. He turns back to his new den and continuing what is left off.

"ah, good. you know who I am." she replied, a smug look on her face. she let out an earth-shattering screech and mock-striked again, flying upwards as she leaped back this time. "come up and fight, little child." nyx said with contempt in her voice.

Vienna stood facing away from the human for a few moments, then turned her head slightly. She could just see the human female out of the corner of her eye. She was looking up into the sky, so Vee followed her gaze, and saw a grey-white shape in the sky, recognizable as Icefire. Vee took a couple steps away from the human, then folded her wings against her side once more. She had no trifle with the other dominant female, and did not want to anger the aggressive dragon. At least, not so close to a defenseless human, despite her hatred for them.

Hailey jerked away as the dragon growled, and she quickly followed its gaze to where she saw Mathias, another handler, standing. She inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm her beating heart, then lifted the basket to get the dragon's attention. "Hey! It's okay, you're not in danger." Hailey pulled out a large apple from the basket, and held it out in a flat, outstretched palm. She knew she was taking a risk, but she'd rather face the dragon head on than have to run away.
