Kahiko snaps at the female as she messes up his images. He thumps his tail on the ground in annoyance, " Great, I hope he saw them before you messed them up." He snarled and motions to his drawings. Kahiko watches her sniff the handler, maybe she was hungry. Kahiko picks up the basket he had eaten out of, all that was left was fruits, he ate the meat. Kahiko set the basket by Paradise.

Azul/fire dragon/sub female/tags: Frost

Azul made a hissing noise that quite resembled a laugh. “What, it hit a little too close to home?” She reeled back when she saw the other dragon move to hit her, though she wasn’t quick enough and her laugh turned to an unamused hiss. The adrenaline rush she got was enough to get her out of the way after that though, and she quickly rounded on the other dragon as he body physically heated up. She shot a short burst of flame into the other reptile’s side before using his wing as a stepping stool and climbing higher into the air.”ohoho, was I now? By laying on a tree?” the blue dragon had had enough of this already, and her furious mood only caused her fire to stir. Blue flames enveloped her back as she tried not to touch any vegetation. A forest fire certainly wasn’t unheard of here, but she wasn’t fond of creating another.

Lukas’ ears flattened to his head in thought at the question. Finally, opening his mouth, he said, “that depends on him. I’m guessing we’ll at least have him here a bit- either to warm up more or because the two of us are nearby. Or both.” His voice sounded just like the soothing one he had with telepathy, yet it didn’t sound as used as the other one. He blinked curiously, his head lowering a bit to observe the human. “He did respond to my thoughts though.” Lukas noted to the other dragon, closing his mouth and flicking his tongue out like a snake.

The man watched with round eyes as the dragon started to etch something into the soft earth, recognising at once the figure of a dragon. He set the basket of fruits down momentarily and moved silently to stand a little close to the dragon on the opposite side. Now that he could see it better as Kahiko was drawing, Mathias’ expression turned a little more grim as he saw the gravestone. At least, that’s what it appeared to be. Stepping back to the basket, the handler voiced his interpretation. “So... someone gave it to you- family maybe? And then they...” he trailed off, looking back down at the pictures. Before he could do anything else though, the brunet sucked in his breath when another dragon tumbled out to sniff around them. She didn’t appear to be very aware of the situation, and at first Mathias was worried he would have to break up a fight, but was relieved to see how the first dragon merely snapped at the their before passing the basket. The man watched in silence a bit before looking back to the golden-scaled beast. “I don’t know what I can do to help, but I’m sorry that you had to go through that...” he tried gently, knowing very well that the dragons probably didn’t understand him. He could have also offered to reinforce the glass on the lantern- likely with the same material the dome was made of- but with the reaction of the flame against the wind the boy guessed that it would likely be just fine. Plus he wasn’t sure if the dragon would let him even if he properly communicated his intentions. His gaze sweeper back to the dragon eating from the basket. “I could get more food, if both of you are stil hungry...” while Mathias had included fruit to the mix, he hadn’t added much since he didn’t know what kind of dragon’s he would encounter.

Vienna narrowed her eyes, not trusting the human. Inside? She took a nervous step forward, body tensed. Her stomach rumbled again, forcing her to make a decision. Vee growled softly, so quiet that it was only detectable by the movement under her chin. She walked inside, then looked around cautiously.

Hailey grinned even wider, if that was even possible. She pushed up her glasses again, rolling her eyes at herself. I should really get these fixed, but I keep forgetting! She paused, then slowly reached her hand out. "Will you let me pet you?"

Backstory: Dragonfruit was born in the rainforest, where is parents live. His father is a Seawing and his mother is a Rainwing. Of course, his father use to live in the Kingdom of the Sea. His parents met at Possibility. Possibility is a large town on the Great Five-Tail River. It was originally a SkyWing town on one side, and a SandWing town on the other side, but it merged together over the twenty years of the war. It has a wide, white stone bridge connecting the two halves. It is said that there are hundreds of dragons there, from all the tribes these days mostly in peace. His mother, Nebula, had just been visiting Possibility to see if there was any stronger material to build treehouses out of. His father, Trench, had ran into Nebula. He apologized many times and eventually Nebula asked him if he wanted to visit the rainforest, completely forgetting about the materials. He agreed, saying it was the least he could do for her. After a few months, Nebula had an egg. It hatched under two full moons and a quarter moon. Some of the other Rainwings didn't agree that a hybrid like Dragonfruit should exist. Though, Dragonfruit did get along fine with all the other dragonets. They thought it was cool that he could see in the dark or be a walking lantern. Though, there were always these two Nightwing dragonets that he hung out with. One was named Futurebringer, the mindreader animus, and the other was Shadowwatcher, the futureseer. Though, Futurebringer couldn't completely use her animus powers, the main thing they worked for was floating places since she was born without wings. The good thing they found out was that unlike other animus, it did not slowly take her soul and sanity. His other best friend is a fox he named Turtle. The thing he likes about Turtle is that he has unusual purple eyes. He had found the fox tangled in some vines one day while he was out gathering fruit. Once he turned 4, his parents sent him to Jade Mountain Academy. He enjoys it there very much.

Kahiko huffs, he knew from the express on the handlers face that he was apologising. Kahiko wondered why a human would apologise for something they didn't do. He shrugs and nudges Mathias slightly, accepting the apology. Kahiko looks at the basket by Paradise, his stomach rumbles slightly, still hungry. Sadly, Kahiko had already eaten all the meat. He looks at the handler and rumbles softly in his throat, not as deep as a threatening rumble though." Do you have more..?" He knew the human didn't understand him, but he hoped he got the gist of it.

Since Paradise was the dragon equivalent of a young human child, her scales became a teal color. The teal meant that she was scared. Her tail went between her legs and was about to run off but Kahiko had offered her fruit. Paradise was quite surprised. The little dragon quietly said thank you and began to eat. Paradise then heard the human say something. She wasn’t sure what. She was about to eat another fruit but realised that there wasn’t anymore left. Paradise then drew strange markings in the sand like she saw Kahiko do. The human seemed to understand Kahiko when he did it so Paradise decided to try herself. The markings resembled very mishappen fruit since her drawing skills weren’t exactly wonderful.

He looked at Paradise's drawling and chuckles in amusement. Kahiko drew a picture of fish and other assorted meats in the sand next to Paradise's images. Maybe he should give art lessons.. Kahiko chuckled again to himself at the idea. He looks at Paradise quietly, he could tell she was a sub female. He wasn't like the others and didn't enjoy picking on the weaker Subs. After all, what's the fun if there isn't a challenge? He smiles slightly to Paradise and looks at Mathias again.

Mathias watched everything going on carefully enough so he wouldn’t misread the situation. The nudge from the older dragon somewhat confused the human, but he nodded his appreciation anyway. He was just glad that Kahiko didn’t seem too badly effected from his past right now, as sad as it was. As the two dragons interacted, the handler took a smaller step away and grinned once they appaeared to get along better. The change of colour in the smaller dragon made Mathias hum an “ohh...” before the low rumble fo the other dragon distracted him. “Huh, guess you still are...” before he stepped away, the brunet noticed that Paradise appeared to be copying the etchings of the other dragon in her own way- which made Mathias laugh behind his raised hand. It was a crude sketch of a fruit, and the drawings after that of the fish and meat only supported the man’s earlier offer. “Alright alright, I’ll be right back with more.” He chuckled, nodding his leave before turning and heading to the door. He did the routine unlock, leave, lock before heading to the building stationed in front of it. Each door had a small shack-like place filled to the brim with materials that handlers and wranglers alike used, though half of it was the different foods that were eaten by the dragons. Thinking once more about the two beasts waiting for more treats outside, Mathias got two more baskets and separated a variety of fruits into one (even sneaking in a few muffins that were in the humans’ break area) and a blend of different meats and seafood in the second. To top that one off the one-eyed man added a lobster, though set it questioningly to the side in case Kahiko didn’t end up wanting to eat it.

Mathias somehow balanced both meals on top of each other in his arms and pushed the door open with his back, eventually setting them both down to open the opening in the dorm before closing it again and carrying them over to the pair of dragons. He was breathing hard from the weight of both and eventually sat down after having pushed each in front of the respective reptile.

Paradise/Sub Female/Building/Tags:Mathias and Kahiko

As Paradise continued to draw, she heard Kahiko chuckle. “What? It’s not THAT bad,” the little dragon huffed. “Is it?” she added in a quieter voice. Paradise then saw Kahiko smile at her for a brief moment and she smiled brightly back at him. Her scales then turned into a golden color with speckles of yellow on them. Yellow meant that she was happy.

Soon after the man had gone into the building, he returned with two baskets of food. Paradise glanced at the basket full of meat and wrinkled her now green snout. She only turned faintly green but then turned back to yellow when the basket full of fruits was set down in front of her. Paradise immediately started to eat. Suddenly, the little dragon stopped eating. Fruit juice dribbled down her chin and onto her neck. “What’s that that?” she wondered aloud as she eyed the blueberry muffin. “And what’s THAT?” she asked as she poked the muffin wrapper.

Kahiko shook his head, "I have seen worse drawings.." he smiled again. When Mathias came back with the basket, he was just about to dig in when he saw the lobster on the side. Kahiko's eyes light up, he loved lobster, him and his brother use to dive into the ocean to collect lobsters for dinner. Kahiko picked up the lobster and ate it first. After the lobster was gone, everything else jn his basket disappeared too. Kahiko looks over at Paradise and see she is looking at something in her basket. He leans over and looks at it."I believe that is a human treat, I have seen them eat it before, they seem to enjoy it a lot." He picks up the muffin and removed the wrapper, " Just don't eat the covering on the bottom, I don't know why, but humans remove it, so I guess it doesn't taste very good." Kahiko hands the muffin back to Paradise. "Try it, humans seem to have a good sence of food."
