Mathias/handler/tags: Kahiko

Mathias watched curiously as the dragon looked at the lantern and then held it close. Was it something that meant some significance to the dragon? The handler took a gentle step forward and lowered the basket a bit to get a better look at the object. Kahiko almost seemed sad at the memory the object provoked, and both that and the supernatural properties of it made Mathias have even more questions. Mathias stiffened in surprise when he saw the dragon move, though to his surprise he shrunk to his size. Why would... Mathias squinted a bit but quickly realised that the dragon was willing to show him the lantern. “Uh, it’s okay to check out?” He wondered aloud, glancing at his face before stepping to examine the lantern more closely. The brown-haired man titled his head a bit as he watched the flame, then examined the chains that surrounded it. “Does it bring back memories?” He asked gently, bringing up a hand to point at his own head.

Blaine saw Vienna’s plea and had an idea. She could bring the dragon into a dock, feed her, and check her for the infection that she’d found on some of the other dragons! She opened a door to a dragon dock and motioned for Vienna to come in. “There’s food in here!” The girl coaxed.

Anhrefn - sub female - Dome - Hailey, open

Anhrefn dove at the pile of food, crouching to not strain her neck too much. She looked up at Hailey, sated for now. She churred like she knew some of the humans’ pets did when they were happy.

Kahiko/Dominant Male/Building/Tags: Mathias

Kahiko examined his movements quietly then ran through his knowledge of this movement, could mean crazy, but that didn't make sense in this situation. Could mean thinking. Yes this is what it meant, he was asking a question of what he was thinking about when he looks at the lantern. Kahiko knew he couldn't explain it to him, even if he wrote it in the sand, he only knew dragon tongue, not the humans. Though he hopes to learn it some day, so instead, Kahiko just nodded slightly. Kahiko didn't know why he was opening up to anyone, least of all a human, but he was, and it felt nice to share the weight. Even if he didn't even know half of it.

Ginerva cocked her head to the side at Lukas’s response but decided to follow him anyways. “The hot springs might burn him and I’m pretty sure that humans won’t help dragons,” she pointed out.

Frost/Dominant Male/Forest/Tags:Azul

Frost narrowed his eyes at the sun female and tended himself for a fight. When he noticed that Azul had sneered at him he lunged forward. But not at Azul. He lunged to her right and hit her with his tail.

Onyxal narrowed her eyes as she lifted off the ground. She continued to gain more and more height until she was as high as she could safely fly under the dome. Her wings spread to their full length as she flew through the air. Her head turned a little as she made a low rumble and the spines on her back seemed to lift slightly for maneuverability. "Lets see how you like it human, being stuck in a situation you don't like" She spat rudely, though... She knew Alice wouldn't understand her. She eventually made a wide turn in the air and flew straight ahead again. Her head turned back slightly so she could see Alice's reaction.

Lukas/ice & telepathy/Dom Male/tags: Max, Ginerva

The blue and black dragon landed carefully near a few of the hot springs, his feathered wings flapping more than necessary after his feet were on the ground. It was hot here, and Lukas did not like it. Giving a quick shake of his furred mane, the serpentine dragon gently set down the human on some solid ground near one of the pools. He then moved to lick his talons, his sharp gaze moving to Ginerva, who really had decided to follow him. “I will just set him by them for a few moments, at least until he has thawed enough to move. And... I’d say it’s worth a shot. I’ve tried everything I can think of to break this glass, but nothing has worked.” He thought to Ginerva, giving an irritated hiss at the thought of his hitting his head. He gave a rough shake of his head again, cooling down as he tucked in his wings to his sides. “I think it’s worth a shot, even if to find out more information or get tastier food. Either way, I doubt humans would leave one of their kind in danger.” Lukas paused, leaning down to nuzzle Max. He seemed rather soft now, though still cold. Blinking, he started a telepathic link with the man. “Are you conscious, human?”

Azul/fire/sub female/tags: Frost

Azul stiffened and gave an audible growl when she saw the other dragon get up and move towards her, even opening her mouth to snarl when he came close enough to her tree. She silenced herself when she was whipped by the other’s tail, glad to have braced herself before the impact. The tree, however, lost a few of its limbs, which really irritated the eastern reptile. “What the hell, Frosty?” She hissed, taking off close after and bringing down her claws to strike the cold scales on the tail that had hit her. She immediately slithered off higher into the air above the western dragon. “Are you really that sensitive, to react like that from a simple smile?” Azul purred mockingly. “And here I was, just trying to be friendly!” The dragoness muttered loudly.

Mathias’ eyes widened a bit at the nod, stars practically sparkling in them at the mutual understanding between the two of them. His mood dampened a bit once more at the thought that the dragon was sad about the lantern though, and while he did understand the dragon’s apparent connection with the item, Mathias was Still very curious as to how it even appeared on him. He gave a small hum of thought, then wondered if there was a better method of communication aside from talking and hoping the other would understand. Looking back at the reptile, the handler pointed to the light, his head and then his face twice, holding up his index finger for his first expression, a downcast frown, and two fingers for another small grin. It would be hard to figure out, but the man was willing to try.

Max Schmidt - male wrangler - Dome - Lukas, Ginerva, open

Max felt ground beneath him. The smell was strong now, and warmth came with it slowly, ice melted off his body, leaving him a bit chilled and thoroughly soaked. Suddenly, his mind tingled and a light flashed in it. He heard a voice in his brain, not his own, asking if he was awake. “I think so?” He thoight back at the voice. He tried to move a leg, and barely succeeded.

(Continuing on from last post)

At the thought response, Lukas’ ears pricked up, now resembling a lynx’s. “Good.” He thought back, opening his mouth and closing it so a few of his fangs held the back of the wrangler’s shirt as he pulled him to his feet. He didn’t unclamp his teeth until he was sure that the human was standing on his own. “Warm up” the imperial commanded telepathically, his tail curling around him multiple times when he sat down.

Kahiko watched the human again quietly. Lantern, thinking, Expression, frown, smile. Kahiko tried to put this together. What is this human asking.. something about my lantern.. A thought formed, was he asking why the lantern made me sad? If so, how can I answer this.. Kahiko thumps his tail on the ground as an idea struck him. He drawls a image of himself in the sand, then copied the image again, to represent his twin. He drew his twin holding out the lantern to Kahiko. He tilted his head, wondering how to say his brother was dead. What was it humans did when they buried there dead..? They puts stones over there resting place, or at least that's what Kahiko has seen, so Kahiko draws a stone sitting on up turned dirt to represent his twin was dead now. He then draws a picture of just the lantern and circles it, saying it was the only thing left of him Kahiko had.
Still, Kahiko wasn't entirely sure this was what the human wanted, but oh well, he tried.

"Fair enough," she murmured under her breath. Ginerva watched the wrangler thaw out. "What do you think he'll do now though?" she asked as she looked at the human.

"DON'T call me Frosty," the ice dragon hissed as he flew up towards Azul. He wanted to claw her but thought better of it. Instead, he hit her again, taking her by surprise. "You weren't even smiling. And anyways, you were asking for it," he spat.

Paradise then looked towards the big building. Maybe a handler had food for her there. The young dragon then ran to the building to find a Kahiko and a handler. She scrambled forwards so that she stood right next to Kahiko and nosed the handler. Nope. He didn't have any fruits.
