"Its time."
"Time for what?" The light brown tabby she-cat shifted in discomfort, "time for the fourth stone, gather The Visitors." The she-cat hesitated, unsure if she should listen to his order or reject. Outside the camp the citizens were having constant border battles to protect their land from Red-eyes. The Kingdom needed as much soldiers as possible and the King was sending the strongest away? "y-yes sir." She finally answered him and rushed out the stone den.
Her white paws created a loud noise scaring all the cats in the clearing, "Is there a problem, miss?" one cat asked. She took a minute to get her breath, "King needs The Visitors, its time."
Several of the felines walked forward, worry in their eyes. "Deputy, is it really the right time for us to be leaving?" A black and white tom asked, "King knows what hes doing." She replied and flicked her tail for the group to follow her into the castle.
Four objects are needed to create the cure for Red-eye, a disease that has spread throughout the countryside. Three have been found, the last one's location was found by a stray cat who made a mistake by going Home, a place were humans used to live. No cat knows what happened and no one wants to find out. These cats have to go into Home to find the last object, the stone. Will they survive?
"welcome." The King's voice was loud and echoed throughout the large den, "you are my most powerful cats, I have faith that you will bring back the stone. You will set out at sunrise tomorrow, I expect you to be fully dressed and packed by then. You are excused." The cats made eye contact with each other, this was the earliest the King has sent such a big group out of camp. The tabby hoped they would be fully prepared on the mission and that all her kin would come back alive and well.
"Crisp.." King almost whispered under his breath, "yes, King?" Deputy made eye contact with the muscular cat. She hasnt been called by her first name in years. "I want you to go with," Deputy opened her mouth to protest but was cut off, "I can handle thet battles on my own, plus, the Prince will need training for when I die." the she-cat was shocked to find herself realizing just how old the tom was. His son, the Prince would be the next king for Deputy to serve as a second in command, but lately he has been treating her as the next leader.
"Sir, I will be grateful to second with Prince, but don't be saying you will die so soon. I will go with the Visitors on their journey and i wont come back until we have the Stone in our paws. Thank you for this opportunity." she nodded her head to King and left the castle to prepare. This journey will be a long and miserable one.
