"Help me, please!" the cub cried, dashing into the camp and looking around. "Somebody, please help! There's been a terrible accident!" She began sobbing again, uncontrollably until Jay stepped forwards and placed a green-glowing paw on the cub's side. "There, now," she said after the cub stopped crying. "Tell us what happened." The black cub took a breath and said shakily, "Me name's Bianca. I live up in the northern mountains." Her voice was accented slightly, lilting, but sharp. "I was waiting for me ma and pa to come back from hunting. I see them, coming along the ridge, dragging a mountain goat between them. Harsh winter, only a little food, a catch like this is a blessing for the tribe. I jump to my paws, right, and I shout for them, and for the tribe to come see. Then... then my voice echoes. I didn't know, I swear, I swear I didn't!" She began crying again, until Jay consoled her. Through fresh tears, Bianca said, "The mountain collapsed on them. I roared like a living creature! It came down with a crash, and gobbled them up. Then it kept coming, straight towards the tribe! We screamed and ran, and I ran the fastest, and then it was there and it swallowed us all up and I saw- I saw-" She sobbed slightly and said, "When it stopped, I dug my way out of the snow and saw me pa, lying there, with his neck twisted at a bad angle and his eyes just starin'- just starin' at me, like he was saying, 'this is your fault. You did this to me'."
