Kora saw Hannah out of the corner of her eye; the wolf had become a spotted cat and was now overtaking Kora. Meanwhile, the pack chasing after them was blinded and yowled in anger as Kora continued to shine on. She didn't notice that Hannah had fallen over.

Hestia swayed at Melody's song, but continued to talk. "There is no need for panic...everything will be all right."

With her song, Melody had broken free of Hestia's power. The reason for this was because their magic was very similar- with music, Melody would someday be able to hold sway over thoughts and feelings. She padded up to Hestia and paused in her song for a moment to say, "Nobody is panicking. It might be best to stop, before they all fall asleep." She shrugged, then added quietly, "Just thought I should mention it." Then she looked around, looking into each creature's eyes as her gaze swept over them.
"Listen to the sound of my voice,"
From somewhere, layered over the three parts the lynx was already singing, another version of her voice swooped in for a solo.
"Calling..."
"Can you feel the beat of my heart?"
"Pounding..."
"Listen to the questions I ask,"
"Listen..."

Hestia looked down, surprised to see Melody there. She ceased talking and immediately buckled over, having used her powers for a while. After the pounding in her ears stopped, Hestia realized the lynx cub was singing. The music reached her ears and she swayed more than ever.

Melody finished her song, green eyes closing and a smile drawing her lips upward as she freed the last high note. It hung in the air for a while before fading, and the lynx kit looked at Hestia as she swayed slightly. "Why did you fall?" she asked, intensely curious. "It's just a song. I don't know where I learned it, though."

Angel fell over the light blinding her.sudden her black clouds came down and covered the wall of light.

Regidor snarled. He held back the light and raced on. "No one can defeat me!!!!" he howled.

((Wow. And I was afraid you'd think of rabies.))
Seeing several angered animals beside him, and Tiro running away, Orion jumped to Acacia's defense. "No! It's not her fault!" he growled. "The angerfire is a disease that robs your capabilities of calm reasoning. It makes you angry-hence its name-and causes you to overuse your energy. It's very rare, and furthermore, only shows up in people with strong powers. Being so angry already, Acacia was quickly overtaken. Hestia, having the power to control emotions and being very calm in general, did not contract it. And Tiro somehow managed to control it too..." He glanced at the motionless body. "There is no cure. But we must find one, or she will die."
Kendo felt very calm, in spite of her underlying worry about poor Acacia. If only she had the power to heal! Oh wait...her mother did. And she couldn't cure her. What was this strange disease? She didn't know what her power was yet, but she suspected an offensive or defensive ability. Or both.

Angel ran toward Kora the darkness pushing the light away.

Kora snarled and dashed away but almost tripped over a body. She realized it was Hannah and Kora instinctively picked up the cheetah by the nape of her neck. Kora hurriedly moved away from Angel's cloud of darkness, struggling to keep ahead with the burden of a cheetah in her mouth.

Hestia gasped. She felt a little lucky not to be as easily influenced by emotion as her siblings. However, Orion spoke, a wave of guilt washed over the tiger-wolf. She tried to keep her siblings calm but if they could die from such anger, Hestia now had a responsibility..to prevent Tiro and Acacia from experiencing the angerfire again, until a real cure was found. A real cure, she thought grimly. I am not a cure...

"There's only one known cure for the Angerfire," murmured Jay. "It- this disease is a terrible thing. I had it once, long ago, but my ability to heal overpowered it over time. The other way, for one who has not the power I do, can only be found in the hghest reaches of the Northern Muntains."

[Mercurian]

Orion nodded. "It's near the Land of Eternal Snow...I will go to retrieve this cure. Who will come with me?"
Kendo stepped up and raised her head. "I will go. I know I'm young, but I think my power's good for this kind of thing." Her claws slid out, oversized and glowing. Her teeth elongated (is that the word?) into fangs, she grew to almost twice her usual size, and her whole pelt started to shimmer softly, as if it had hardened into an armor of some kind. In fact, if you looked closely enough, you could see a faint hologram of a human warrior in metallic armor wielding a large sword and shield, superimposed over her own body. "Yep. I finally know my power." She returned to her normal appearance.
Orion's own, faint sense of parentlike caring told him to forbid her from going, but her logic was right. Her Battle power would be good for traveling through the unknown. He nodded. "You can go...if your mother lets you, of course."
Static, Orion's best friend, said, "I really want to go...but it's best to stay here and guard the camp. Starpack knows how they would do without me."
Bandit used his own darkness to impair their eyesight. "Night Slash!" he growled, and swiped his paw. A shadowy replica of his own foreleg reached out and slashed the enemy. Regidor grimaced, his face burning from the wound, but continued running. "Venom Strike!" Globs of acid rained upon Bandit. "Agh!" Bandit yelped, and stumbled. ((Reminds me of Pokemon...O_o))
