Regidor gestured to the clearing before them. "We're here." he stepped onto a large rock at the edge of the clearing, and growled, "Let all who catch their own prey come to the Highrock for a Pack meeting!"

Angel sat down and growled at the struggling Hannah

Regidor gestured to Hannah. "We have caught the pyromatic Twoleg," he said. There was a grumble of appreciation from all the gathered animals (pretend). "Now, using my power, we shall transfer her power to us!" He raised a paw and started chanting. Hannah started to glow.

It is late March. The sun rises on melting snow and bursts of color throughout the land.))

Kendo liked to play in the snow, and she liked to play in the flowers, but she hated when the snow melted and the flowers wer JUST peeking out, because then there was a lot of mud. She hated mud. Mud was dirty and icky and slimy. When she tried to play in it before, it made her fur all yucky and uncomfortable and then Mommy made her go take a bath in the river, which was still REALLY COLD and half-frozen from all the snow. So she hated mud.

Trakai was sitting peacefully in the shade of a tree, her legs delicately folded beneath her. She was spacing out, musing in her head, but every now and then she looked up and scanned the camp, ears pricking for any noises. Nothing seemed wrong. She turned her head away and spaced out again.
The pack was so little. Many of their members had died this past year. It was very unfortunate, but things would probably get better as summer passed. Or at least, that was what they all hoped.

((Wait, but none of Jay's pups are even old enough to open their eyes, much less play or take baths. We didn't timeskip, remember. I'm just making sure that the setting is realistic- lynxes usually mate in the winter and have their kits in late March or early April.))

Lunar glanced nervously at Trakai. She was one of the only ones left...

Jay woke slowly and coughed, then looked outside. Right next to the entrance of her den was a small patch of snowdrops, blooming through the late snow.

(So...Trakai was ORIGINALLY supposed to be a cheetal. Which isn't a misspelling, it's a species of DEER. But a cheetah will work too ^^ Just thought you'd like to know, for whatever random reason. Okay, Trakai, be carnivorous now and go eat your former kind.)

Trakai frowned and closed her eyes for a brief moment. She suddenly wished that she could understand what was going on with the other packs. Maybe they were all suffering just as much as they were. The beta's brows furrowed until they seemed to almost cover her eyelids. She couldn't understand why such deaths were happening, and so many of them were painful. The last time she saw another pack, they were well-fed and many. Was it because she was a bad leader? The alphas had perished, only a couple warriors remained, at least Lunar was still alive somehow, but she was the only apprentice left.
Something pulsed through her like an electronic wave. Trakai felt her power stir and rise, pushing up, longing to work against the other packs, wanting for the happy ones to grieve over the dead like they did...
She pushed it down with such a strong force that it almost disappeared completely, but you couldn't just give up our power like that. No, her mind scolded. I won't ever, not ever, use you. Not until I want to kill myself. Maybe Sienna could know? She was psyche, after all. Trakai got up and walked over to the healer.
