Rosabelle inspected her claws, but her ears were perked towards Jay and the new guy. At Jay's words, a tiny smile crossed her face. She was one to appreciate the true beauty of subterfuge- of taking the enemy's mind and shaping it to your own thoughts- but Jay was showing herself to be a true master of the art.

There's only two members, and one's not active)) Traveler knew what she was doing: Trying to get him to feel ashamed, so he would spill his secrets. He snarled and, reaching up to his full height, towering over Jay, he roared, "Don't you dare talk to me about my past! Acting like you know everything. You don't know half of what I've been through, and you never will! You need to learn some respect. I may be injured, but I'm powerful. Very powerful." His eyes blazed with fire, and the wind picked up. Lightning flashed, and the beginnings of a tornado began to swirl on the ground. ((WAHAHA! Stormness! ))

Jarl laughed and hooted with glee, however a snake can laugh. "AHAHAHA!!! That was a good one...very good! And you, Temper, look very nice in a tree! AHAHAHA!!!" Not even noticing what the others were doing, he continued to roll around and guffaw until his sides hurt and he was suffocating. "Ga...ha...aha..." He breathed in again and slapped his tail on the ground, making the earth around him tremble slightly. Then he caught sight of angry Traveler with a storm around his paws, and couldn't stop laughing for another five minutes.

Karmerruk sighed, and ruffled his brilliant feathers. "Oh yes, certain death. NOW, continuing on with the lesson..." He swooped down and landed in front of his apprentice. "The sky element is very similar to Wind, Air, Flying, Weather, and so on. It gives you the ability to fly, and control anything in the sky, including clouds and rain and such. The Weather element is different because it gives one the ability to change the weather, while you can only use it how it is. For now we will work on flying." He ended his speech and spread his wings. "Taking off is much easier on a higher surface, which is why I usually prefer beginning on a tree branch or something. But since your a winged wolf, you might as well take off on ground. Anyway, your legs are important as they should help push you from the ground and into the air. For beginners its best to get a running start, and then leap. After that you spread your wings and take the wind under your feathers to control your movement. Then you just hope for the best and don't look down." The hawk demonstrated this, circled once, and landed again. "And I'm not sure about landings, since my own father shoved me off a tree when he taught me how to fly, and I crash-landed before learning how to do it naturally by myself. But I suppose we'll worry about that once your in the air, won't we?" He tilted his head a little and shook, like trying to get rid of a bad memory. "Have you got all that? I hope you have, because this is where the cliff comes in. First step, try taking off on it."

Traveler became even more irritated by Jarl's laughter at everything, and sent a small sandstorm his way, burying him under the sand with only his snout unexposed, so as to give him air.

Razzle gulped, and, taking a deep breath, ran along the ground, her paws churning up the soil, until she used her hind legs to push herself off the ground and spread her wings wide. A little unstable at first, she had to flap her wings several times to regain control, shifting her wing feathers to catch the breeze. Catching a thermal, she soared high into the air; a little toohigh. Trying desperately to glide her way down, she lost her center of balance and tumbled back toward Karmerruk and the earth, narrowly missing him as she crash-landed in a furry heap next to him.

The mini sandstorm suddenly froze in its tracks. Temper could not get any rest so he had been listening to the conversation the whole time. As he had opened his eyes he had seen a sandstorm and froze it angrily. Temper rose with a cold look in his eyes, and stooped near the small patch of frost to survey his handywork. At a closer look each individual sand grain had been incased in a mini ice cube. Temper gave a small nod and looked up at the angry Traveler. Temper dusted off the ice crystals from Jarl's serpentine body and glared at the two of them. "You are becoming too much trouble, newcomer," he said with a tinge of anger in his voice. "But I will permit you to stay as long as you do nothing dangerous. Keep your calm and maybe you will earn a permanent spot here." Temper knew that Traveler would perhaps reprimand Temper to keep cool himself but before the lynx could answer he turned heel and returned to his den. Temper settled himself within the stone cave and surveyed the camp from a distance, far away from Traveler to avoid any retorts.

Gaia paced around camp. She wondered whether Hannah had been doing well in camp. She hoped the girl would learn how to hunt soon, then they could definitely progress.

Kora stared around the camp brightly, her fur shimmering and reflecting the sunlight.

Jarl hissed in shock and whirled all about as the sand enclosed him in a beige cocoon and buried him almost completely. He twisted around, confused, until finally Temper stopped it. This time his tail rattled angrily, and he reared up (you know how they kinda stand up halfway and...yeah). "Hm. The master fooled by the amateur of pranks. Oh, thank you, Alpha." The snake bowed his head, and slithered off, looking very undignified.

Karmerruk nodded slightly. "Better than I expected, though you must control your movements. Don't panic too much, or you'll die. Simple. Remember, balance is everything. Know how the offspring of the four-legged cannot stand until they learn to steady themselves with their small paws. With the horse, it takes many tries, and sometimes if it is impossible for them, the leader tramples them to death to spare unnecessary time and care." He lifted up one of his talons. "I can keep standing like this, because I've learned to control my weight and shift it from one side of my body to another to balance, as you can. It is the same with your wings. Let them waver, and you will fall, just as your legs do. Keep them firm and sure, and you will keep standing." He paused for a moment, letting it all sink in again, and then jerked his head. "Again."
