S I T K A-- Sirka
Sitka stumbled as the other wolf approached, tumbling back down. He quickly rolled over, and lifted his rear, keeping his neck bared so his gesture was both playful and submissive.
His ability to tell that the other was feeling mostly positive emotions kept him from being worried or scared.
Sitka yipped at the other wolf in acknowledgment, then spoke happily. "Thank you, sir, but we're just playing! He'd run away if he thought I was going to eat him, I bet!"
As if to agree with the others words, the squirrel squeaked, then jumped to another tree before disappearing into the forest.
Sitka was momentarily distracted, then turned back towards the other wolf and barked out, "Can I play with you? Oops, I mean, can I watch you? I mean, not just watch you, I wanna see what you do! I'm a big pup now! One day I'll have to do it too, maybe! Although in my old pack they always said I'd never be anything... oh no, I'm rambling! I'm sorry!"
With that, Sitka became silent, emanating an aura of happiness and calm. He gazed up at the other wolf's nose.
