The brute watched her leave, then returned his bi-colored gaze to his sister and barked," Senu, am I going to like this? Or am I going to want to rip someone's head off?" He pulled back his lips, showing his distaste of the mere thought of ripping some poor wolf's head off.

With a roll of her eyes the female spoke," Unless you think protecting our hunters is worth ripping head's off then, no." She glanced at Ira then added," besides, I'm sure that the hunters and scouts would approve."

The males eyes narrowed slightly when Rayne mentioned catching the scent of a loner in the eastern edge. A soft growl escaped Konrad at the thought, his eyes followed the older she-wolf as she trotted over to Bayek and the others. After she had told the alpha their plan, Konrad bolted over to the female. Once he was standing next to her he said," You ready to go?" His tail wagged, excitement rushing through his body.

Karlee darted over to the den she normally slept in, and went to the nest she slept in every day. Eyes narrowing she noticed the dirt that was disturbed next to her nest. Putting her nose to the ground, and slowly breathing in a smile quickly came to her face. It seemed her son had taken some meat, to save for her. With a content sigh, Karlee plopped into the nest and curled up, a small content smile on her face.

Rayne laughed at the male's excitement and nodded. The female slipped from
camp quietly, her paws sank into the snowy slush. "I hate spring." She
growled out, and trotted forward to the softer and more solid snow that filled
the forests. She was headed towards the lake, the scent from the loners yesterday
were at the border and near the various streams. The female however slowly smiled
as the softer white snow stuck to her pelt. "How do you feel your training
is going with Odin?" She inquired lightly, she wasn't prying but genuinely needed
to know. Odin seemed to favor Konrad's training and Rayne just wanted to make sure things
were going well.

Odin made his way over at Senu's call though upon hearing that Konrad was leaving with Rayne he couldn't help but be a tad annoyed. So much for his plan of training the kid today. He tried not to let it show. He could sense the tension when he got close enough to the group, he didn't let it get to him. He knew there were plenty who didn't like him or his brother. "It's a rather simple idea, that originally was for training." He may as well admit the truth there, "It was to get those in-training to be guards and fighters to get used to watching out for other packmates, to be aware constantly of danger even on a routine check. But I figured if we escort the hunters out to where they want to hunt and head to the boarder from there it'll provide better protection. If loners were to cross into our territory, chances are they'd head for the heaviest food source first before ever going anywhere near camp. It gets us close to the most likely spot for trouble, also means that if there was trouble we could cut it off right away without leaving anyone exposed."

Dereth

Dereth left his den to look around camp, he felt itching for a run, but first he needed to make sure no one needed him right then and there. Everything seemed normal from his point of view, the presence of the doe had certainly thrown the usual routines slightly off but things were going back to normal it seemed. He stretched, getting read to go on the run that his legs were so desperately crying out for.

Tally watched as wolves left the camp, she didn't bother to say anything to any of them, mainly because they weren't going to say anything to her. Though her attitude did change a bit when she saw Nova leave, she did like Nova after all, the large healer figured out that Tally would never ask for help but also not refuse it when it came to injuries. Tally might have also had a soft spot for the wolves that seemed more like outcasts, those that didn't fit in as well as they'd like to.

Nova started towards the entrance of the camp, she figured no one was going to really stop her from looking for herbs. She didn't know what to do about the only sick wolf in camp, she had tried every trick but nothing seemed to be the answer. She needed more time to think. She went out, nodding towards Tally briefly.

Geren ended up walking into a snow drift that hadn't been melting as fast as others, unfortunately the snow drift was taller than he was and found himself up to his neck in snow. He struggled for a few moments to get free, his pelt becoming cold and wet. He wished silently that his father had followed him to stop this sort of thing.

A single brow rose as Odin approached, his ears perked up as the other male began to speak. His eyes narrowed slightly as he listened to the male, deep in thought. When Odin was done talking he sighed and said," I like the idea, we should defiantly implement it into training our young. Though I'm a little annoyed it took so long for anyone to come up with the idea. I'll talk to Rayne and Tundra later." He paused then added," Unless any of you have anything else to add, I'd like to get back to my conversation with Dalso here."

The lass glanced at Odin with a sigh as the male spoke, curling her tail around her body. She had a civil relationship with the younger male, but this was her job and she would do it right. At her brother's obvious dismissal the she-wolf grinned and said," I just want to say, that Ezekiel is probably going to come up to you at some point of time and thank you for the deer." Senu gave her brother a wink then stood, and started to pad towards a sunny part of camp.

Konrad snorted, then said," Spring is just a part of life. Can live with it, can't live with-out it." he muttered as he trailed after her, chuckling softly. The male kept up a decent pace next to the older female, enjoying the quiet while it lasted. Glancing at Rayne when she again spoke, he frown a little attempting to find the right words. "Well..." He started off," He's working me hard, and while I enjoy training, I don't think there's been a night that I went to my nest with aching muscles." Konrad was quiet for a time then said," Truthfully my training seems more harsh than the others. I used to think it was because, my father was a loner and the fact that my mother's an omega... But." He paused, looking a little unsure. "Tally seems to think that he's invested in my training some how. I don't know why. I'm no one special. My fathers a loner and my mothers just an omega. If my sibling had survived the storm we where born in, then I might not be alive right now." He gave a shrug, honestly he was confused.

Rayne frowned at his response. Days of rest are crucial, working too hard
and too fast will do the exact opposite of what is desired. The female let a growl
slip lose as she grew irritated with her fellow Lead Fighter. "Konrad if
he works you too hard tell me. Wolves need rest days for their muscles to heal and repair." She
added- the fur along her scruff and along her spine had bristled. Rayne didn't mind Odin's
heavy training of Konrad but training the to-be's was a job that was supposed to be
done by both Leading Fighters. "What is he training you in- actually
I don't want to know." She quickly cut herself off, she was proud of how Konrad
was coming along and berating him with questions wasn't fair to him. Instead the
female walked quietly, she was beyond irritated with Odin. "Thank you
for being honest Konrad." She added gently before she fell shoulder
deep in the snow with a slight bark of surprise followed by an amused laugh.

Dalso paused to think of the plan, it was logical he supposed. Though he felt
Senu should have taken the lead in talking about it, even she seemed irritated with
him over him taking the lead. His facade of indifference fell though when the male
was dismissed and his friendly and warm exterior came back. Yes anyways,
who do you think in the pack is most likely to age into a bitter wolf?" He chuckled
at the question, it was light-hearted and could provide some fun speculation of the pack.

Odin gave a respectful nod, pleased with the fact his idea seemed to be accepted. Dismissed, he started to walk away, not oblivious to the change in attitudes that happened once he was far enough away. He still did his best to not let it get to him, if wolves chose not to get to know him it wasn't his fault. The fact he knew how many avoided him did cause some troubling thought, especially with how close some were getting to Bayek. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, that's what he had always believed. Best, he was paranoid, he was good at his job and he shouldn't worry. Worst, he was good at his job, but that wouldn't be enough if enough spoke out against him towards Bayek as they got closer, which meant the worst possible scenario was that he very well might not have a home eventually. He had to pay closer attention to who tense out, what aggression he could sense, know who didn't want him around and who did. He needed those who wanted him around to stay on his side. Already not in a good position. He went to find a good spot to think until he was needed again.

The male snorted at his sister, then turned his head to look at Dalso, and said," Well, my uncle Ramses VIII turned into a bad apple as he aged. And according to legend so did Ramses II." The Ancient pack had a century's worth of history. The first alpha had been named Ramses, who had been the first to bring together the Dire wolves and the grey wolves. Both of the wolves first mate's had been grey wolves, he had been a dire. He had set up the new pack system, and was loved. Every now and then the current alpha would name one of their son's after the male. Ramses II had been born from Ramses second mate, and had been greedy. He had forcefully taken the throne from his elder half-brother at the age of five.

A smile made its way to her jaws as the female laid down in the snow, enjoying the rare sun light that the beginnings of spring were bringing. She gave her jaws a lick, as her stomach rumbled appreciatively. Senu eyed what was left of the carcass, but decided against taking another bite, no wolf would call her fat.

Konrad shrugged, falling quiet for a time. He didn't know what to say, but chuckled when she began to ask what Odin had been training him in, but stopped. A soft chuckle left the male as they got closer to the lake then said," Sure, will do." He glanced around, his murky eyes narrowing as he took in a deep breath. "You smell something?" He frowned, the scent was familiar to him it reminded him of an old pack-mate that they used to have before he started his training. But the scent was different some how, it seemed softer like it came from a younger wolf.

Rayne's ears flicked tow hat Konrad said and she began to smell at the air
as if chasing a long faded scent. "Smells faintly like a pack pup..It's a weak pack
scent but it's there...but all the pups are at camp pestering Bayek." She replied
but the female bounded forward, her previous struggle with the snow seemed like nothing
as she powered through it, her muscle under her pelt churned with the effort
of moving the white covering. However she soon found the source and gripped
the pup by it's scruff gently, carrying him to a clear spot and setting him down, puzzled.
"Who are you little one?" She woofed gently- her softer side
which was often hidden showing through as she sat down, not caring that the snow
on her pelt had chilled her to the bone,

Akito shook his fur as he made his way out of his den. He glanced around before taking a deep breath, somewhat relieved to no longer be in the stuffy den. His white paws were already turning brown and wet from the wet dirt beneath them, but Akito didn’t mind. His gaze landed on Maud, and he wondered how she was doing, considering her age. She was much smaller than most of the pack due to the small amount of dire in her.

Finch looked around camp. She didn’t have too much to do, and she noticed the beta male, Dereth. He looked as if he was about to leav to do something, and Finch was bored so she made her way over. “Hello, Dereth.” She greeted with a grin. The brute was around her size, and Finch was glad. She didn’t particularly enjoy being around large wolves that towered over her, besides her half-brother, Titan. She’d grown to not be afraid of him, despite his large and muscular frame.

The she-wolf casually crossed the packs borders. She wasn’t afraid of the pack, and she didn’t particularly care about scent markers. To her, she could roam where ever she pleased. Some of the prey had grown to practically the size of her, and it was getting harder to catch prey. As she entered the territory, the scent of prey drifted past her, and she immediately turned her attention towards the scent. She saw a mouse, the once small creature that was about the size of her paw, but it was now about the size of a small plant. Instinctively, Ember locked her eyes on the creature before sprinting after it and eventually catching it.

Bayek snorted then with a great amount of sarcasm he said," Titan? No, that not possible!" He let the no drag out, then snickered," What are you talking about, he's already bitter." He gave his head a shake then with the most serious look he could muster, he barked," It always seems to skip a generation in the alpha bloodline. I wouldn't be surprised if one of my future pups, or Senu future pups or Konrad's were a bit bitter." Bayek silently cursed him-self as re realized that he had just insinuated that Konrad was family. That fact was a well kept secret, doubly so from Konrad. Only a few of the older wolves knew, mostly the higher ranks and of course, Karlee and what was left of Bayek's family.

The mostly white she-wolf laid her head on the cool snow, basically disappearing into the snow. One could barely see her with her eyes closed, only the bits of cream and tan fur stuck out. Senu rolled onto her side, then muttered," I don't rise from the ashes, I make them. I'm the whole freaking fire." It was something her mother had told her once, she never really understood it. But she's coming to realize that sometimes it was best to hide in plain sight and let other assume.

The younger male had bolted after Rayne, his brows furrowing when she talked about the fact that the scent was from a pack pup. He was confused, If all the packs are at camp, with Bayek. Why do we have a pup out here, smelling like pack? Konrad watched as Rayne spotted the pup and pulled it out of a snowdrift. He bit back a growl, the pup was small and seemed to be around maybe three our four months of age, but he couldn't tell. Konrad wasn't an expert on these things, and it greatly annoyed him.
