to the pup. It intrigued him, he didn't place Rayne as the comforting type. He snorted and

Packs are clearly for the wolves who can’t care for themselves alone.”

Ember’s leg began to bleed, and she bent down her muzzle and bit the brute on the scruff and he was busy biting her leg. She let out a snarl, baring her teeth. Rayne nodded and turned to the little pup with a gentle smile, she wasn't going to
allow him to walk further in the snow. She picked him up gently, she'd seen in her years
how den-mothers carry their pups so she knew for the most part what she was doing.
"You'll have a home little Geren, a whole pack." She said softly
turning to wait for Konrad. Though she felt her pelt bristle when the loner fought back
she let out a low warning growl- she would set this pup down and teach that pathetic
wolf a lesson herself if she had to.

Granny Maud laid down slightly wincing at the pain, it should go soon with the herbs.
"I remember my first male pup. He was a lot like you, loyal and hardworking
but didn't know how to react to the pack or authority. He wasn't very good at being social." She
began, pausing to take a breath, "I remember telling him that he had to be kind
even if he didn't like someone, because kindness was important." She paused once more,
casting a gentle and almost motherly gaze to Titan. "He was so stubborn, he never
understood why he had to be kind and nice. A few years ago, he retired, he was injured in
a battle with a Saber and could no longer hunt or fight without severe pain. He grew weak
and I remember him telling me that his one regret was being mean to the pack, being
cold and distant. That he only knew the love of the pack when he was forced to become an elder."
She said it softly- there was pain in her eyes as she spoke of her deceased pup, it was
un-natural for a parent to see their pup die but as was the circle of life. She turned to Titan,
willing the brute to understand that if he just let go a little bit, let some of the pack have
his trust he'd be rewarded greatly. Though the brute could also take this story with a grain
of salt, and think Granny was merely talking nonsense.
