Ahone Grays
¯¨'*·~-.¸¸,.-~*' ¯¨'*·~-.¸¸,.-~*'
Prince | Some cave | tags; Mountain group

Ahone stayed towards the back of the group, following the others since he had no clue where to go. His gaze wandered as if he were looking for someone or something, but it was just him watching their surroundings, seeing just how intricate yet bland nature can be. What he didn’t expect was to see Moon slinking above them, as if following those at the head of the small band to wherever they were going.

Listening intently, Ahone picked up pieces of her conversation with who he assumed was Titus. She seemed as though she were trying to make small talk, like what just happened back at the cave didn’t just happened. Like she didn’t kidnap him earlier today. The prince wasn’t surprised by the captain’s response yet he was tempted to retort, to say Moon wasn’t in fact a cold blooded murderer. This time thinking better about it, he kept his mouth shut and turned his attention to a soldier who was a few paces ahead of him. He felt like he recognized him; when the soldier turned to look up at Moon, the mage noticed the man had...one eye. This startled Ahone and made him very curious about the story behind it, but what made that interest grow was the way he seemed to be acting every time his attention returned to the- Wait, that’s Moon's sword! Ahone looked back up at the girl.

Moolettia; Female; Human; Tags: Mountain group.

Moolettia frowned at his remark on the dead solider but any joking or friendly behaviour vanished sharply at his words. Her eye color changed to a sharp red, glaring down at him. "Do you think I enjoyed killing him?" she spat coldly. "In case your blind or something I went into a state of shock when I realized what type of blow I had delivered." Her gaze softened slightly, taking a deep breath to calm her raging mind. "Trust me at least when I say this, if I could, I would go back in time and change everything I just did.. I'm sorry... I know apologies don't bring people back but I am truly sorry.." she looked away, glancing back as she felt gazes resting on her back. Ahone and a solider who she hadn't met yet, but knew his name because of her mind reading ability, Mathais were looking at her. She forced a weak smile at them and looked away again, her gaze darkening slightly as she scanned the sky, she was yet to receive sight or thought from her dragon and Aldara's silence was beginning to concern her.

Aldara; Female; Dragon; Tags: Mountain group.

Aldara glanced back at Akuji only to find the red scaled dragon to have vanished, her ears flattened slowly against her head in suspicion but she highly doubted he would try anything, she wasn't taking her chances. Swallowing down her fear of ambush she picked up speed to keep in range of the group.

Akuji; male; Dragon; Tags: none.

Akuji ducked low, avoiding Aldara as he followed, his scales changed to match his surroundings. His own ears perked up slightly, trying to understand the humans conversations but to no avail. He swooped down lower, genuinely curious to why Moolettia and Aldara were helping them when they had literally only just been fighting them moments ago.

Titus Eutherius

The Captain || Location || Mountain Path|| Tagged || Moolettia

"Stop talking," Titus snapped. It was clear her apology hadn't had any impact on him; in fact, the longer she went on, the more he found he was really growing to despise this dragon-rider. Not the more formal, necessary dislike implied and demanded by battlefield enemies, this was a sense of personal hatred that was beginning to cloud his better judgement. So not only did she ally herself with a dragon, kidnap a prince, and engage in a battle that resulted in her cuting down one of his soldiers, it had been a bloody accident, and one she had not even had the fortitude to cope with. He scoffed at her talk of going into a state of shock. As if that justified anything! He would like for her to feel the pain of the family their fallen soldier had left behind. Because whatever she was using to excuse her actions now, he was confident it was nothing compared to that. If not for the threat of the red dragon flying somewhere in the clouds above him, he would have told her to get out of his sight, and have an archer put an arrow through her skull if she didn't comply. But he had to restrain himself for the sake of the search party's safety- though that didn't keep him from telling her exactly what he thought of her.

"I would rather you stand by your actions than... this. You are not even a worthy opponent to die to. How can you stand fast and kill a man, then become a sniveling coward when you are confronted with your own wrongdoing?" Titus looked up at her. If he noticed the red eyes, he said nothing. With the sun setting, it could easily have been passed off as a trick of the light, especially at their current distance. "You're right to say apologies will not bring back the dead. They will do nothing, except reveal your own character as someone too weak to claim responsibility for what you've done." With that, Titus tapped his horse's sides and urged it to pick up the pace, until he pulled ahead of the group at a speed no one on foot could hope to keep up with. He was done listening to this pathetic whining.

Kokyu ♠︎ Dragon Scout ♠︎ Tags: Woodland near human city; Jessica

Kokyu made a "hmf" sound at Jessica's words, murmuring, "Yes, I've seen many things in my days. People always want what they don't have... I suppose that rule applies to us as well. Though... They do not seem to be able to track magic? I knew there were a few different kinds, but if it were to ward against dragons I would have felt it..." Kokyu had seen a fair share of dragon-inspired objects, though never cheaply made figured to ward them off. The mockery made him snort and consider getting one as a joke. Kokyu didn't really have a problem with get species, though he did still find them a bit foolish in an amusing way. The man turned his head when he noticed the narrowed eyes and grin aimed his way, and regarding Jessica with an arched eyebrow, was quickly distracted by the coin. "It's really nothing..." He protested as he cupped the coin in his hands, though his eyes had followed it the entire way. "I mean, I did have a hoard at one point but it's long gone now..." After realising that he was a few steps behind the traveler took a few quick paces to catch up. At the girl's comment about his nose he scrunched it up just to spite her. "I can still fly in this form." He reminded her, glancing to the houses they passed with slight distain. "How can people live in such places? I would be walking rounds around the building of I were cooped up there..."

Mathias Iversen ♠︎ Human Soldier ♠︎ Tags: Royal Army Forward Camp Delta; Titus, group of dragons, some more people

Mathias watched carefully as Moon and Titus held somewhat of a conversation, eavesdropping though his mind was beginning to wander. The dragon couldn't be seen from overhead, though the man did glance up briefly when he felt the sudden still I of wind. He shook it off with little thought.

Thanks to the current lack of wind, the soldier noted a soft inhale of surprise and turned his head to see the prince himself observing him. It was his eyepatch-he could tell, though there was something else that had appeared to have caught his attention as well. Mathias only gave the royal a small nod in greeting as he wondered what had caused the attention to draw to his back- and then it hit him. The man forced his posture not to turn rigid as he remembered how the prince, dragons, and moon had spent time together; surely Ahone would have seen the sword? Still facing forward in an expertly-faked casual stance, Mathias willed the sword to appear to turn to a dark mist that escaped into the sky. It was still there, yes, but the soldier figured a small illusion-game would amuse him. The tip of his mouth barely raised at his thought.

Mamas was certainly not expecting the woman travelling with them to look around, though when she did his blue eye automatically moved to look at her. She smiled weakly at both him and the prince, and while he himself was a bit confused, he nodded back.

Laura ♠︎ Dragon enchantress ♠︎ Tags: outside of a small town; Dahlia

Laura fiddled with the edges of her coat's sleeves. She really was restless, as Dahlia had guessed; it had been months since the woman had shifted and she was itching to fly- even though she had learned to live in her current form for years on end. She had no time to think about all of this now, though, since a dragon really didn't have a place looking for customers in a human city.

Her pink irises rested again on Dahlia, and she smiled at the name. "I find that rather surprising... You seem pleasant enough to me." She voiced, no lie in her words. Her... Odd jobs didn't seem to make too much of a profit, but perhaps... Laura continued listening with a keen interest, her features calming as the other listed off examples of her work. The last one in particular caught the girl's attention and made her give a soft snort of amusement. "Paid to befriend? And you think you aren't well liked?" The shifter now held her hands together with her head titled to the side a bit- partly because it was comfortable, and partly to keep an eye on her cart.

"But, uh, if you would happen to want to make an exchange, I may be able to bring you to a bigger city." She threw out casually, not wanting to make too big of a deal out of it. "Of course, I would perhaps like to listen to your terms of work."

"I prefer to avoid getting in that situation personally, but whatever floats your boat." Jian said, shrugging. "They're transporting the cargo into the city, I'm not sure the exact location but I figure it'll be better to get it from the caravan. Where ever they're taking it to is likely to be high security and even more heavily guarded. I think our best bet would be some kind of diversion to give us the oppurtinity to get in and grab whatever we can get." Patting his pockets and finding nothing, he rummaged around in his bag. No luck, he thought he had a map but it was possible he had left it at his last location. "Knowing the army, they're most likely to travel somewhere pretty covered to help prevent dragon attacks, but as they near the city they'll need to go out into the open. I think that's our chance."

Moolettia; Female; Human; Tags: Mountain group minus Titus

Moolettia was proud of herself for annoying Titus to the point where he had snapped at her and left but his words were truthfully hurtful. Cursing him to the gods under her breath she forced herself to relax, glancing back at the group her red eyes faded into a curious orange colour. She slowed her pace that she had been walking at to keep up with Titus and began to walk along side one of the further back in the line. "If you don't mind me asking, do you know what started this war?" Her question was directed to a certain 23 year old with a single blue eye but Her gaze had travelled back towards Ahone, inviting him into the conversation that would hopefully strike up. Her gaze was nothing more than an almost childalike curiosity, comforting yet slightly suspicious in its own ways.

Aldara; Female; Dragon; Tags: Mountain group minus Titus

Aldara narrowed her eyes at Titus rode on ahead, flying up in hopes of keeping him in her view. Aldara wasn't normally one to keep her word but she knew if she didn't it'd tear Moolettia apart. When Moolettia made promises she could break them in order to survive or do something she really wanted to do but she never broke a deal, she would always carry out her side of the bargain if possible and refused to back down until it was completed. If you were to break your side of the deal, depending on what it was, she would get some sort of a warning through. This was one of her down sides as it could be used against her a lot if you knew of her undying loyalty to deals. Which was also a reason why Aldara did her part, If she didn't Moon would probably strain her powers to the brink of exhaustion, perhaps if possible, even death.

Akuji; male; Dragon; Tags: Mountain group minus Titus.

Akuji had finally found out the unsettling nature of the group, none of them ( perhaps except Ahone ). Moolettia seemed to have no care for his aggression and simply accepted his hatred silently. His gaze swept across the group. They were more vunreable now, less magic to be swept around but he didn't try anything, yet.

Mathias Iversen ♠︎ Human Soldier ♠︎ Tags: Royal Army Forward Camp Delta; Titus, group of dragons, some more people

Mathias watched in slight curiosity as Titus eventually broke off to gallop forward, moving his head back upon feeling another presence looming over his back. The sky was cloudy, which would explain the large shadow that was cast upon the group, but had it been following them? His eye narrowed at the sky.

There was a bit of movement amidst the horses and the magic-user's attention was drawn back down- only to see the dragon rider peering up at him, and then to the man behind him. He cleared his throat first, obviously not expecting to be questioned. "I-uh, I'm not actually from around here, so I can't say for sure." He admitted, though his mind raced back to the study sessions his mother had urged him to eavesdrop on. "Though, from what I know, it's been hundreds of years. S'pose both human and dragon natures have the ambition to be in control sometimes. I think he may be more inclined to know what happens on his family's land as opposed to me though." Mathias answered, moving his horse to the side a bit so the prince could squeeze in if he wanted to. The man's eye traveled down to his horse before rising to meet Moon's gaze. "If ya don't mind my asking, how did you happen to meet the dragon?" The brunet nodded to the dragon in question, who was now flying a bit in front of them. He had had his own experiences with dragons long before he had switched continents, but both areas he knew were very different from Moolettia and Aldara's relationship.

Cain Dawson

The Freelancer || Location || Port Town Warehouse || Tagged || Jian

"Maybe," Cain said, not sounding entirely convinced. "But they'll be easier to sneak up on and ambush on a more enclosed path." He thought back to his run-in with the soldier on the road to the port town; he had been able to use the forest to help hide which way he went (or so he thought- Cain was none the wiser about how easily Ash could track him with her ability to communicate with the birds populating that same forest). Fighting in a space like that aided those who could move quickly and vanish at ease. Not the soldiers, who moved noisily and thought that more people and more weapons were the answer to keeping themselves safe. Of course, he was hoping it wouldn't come to a fight; but they would be harder to spot in dense foliage, and if a fight did break out, it would be much easier for them to maneuver in a cramped space than it would be for a bunch of armored up soldiers. He looked to Jian to see what he thought, and raised his eyebrows as he asked, "Unless you had something else in mind?"

Titus Eutherius

The Captain || Location || Mountain Path|| Tagged ||

Titus relaxed a little as Moolettia didn't try to follow him, and he slowed his horse's pace again, but kept a good distance between himself and the rest of his group. He remained close enough to look back at them to assure himself they were alright, and within earshot if anything important happened; he could hear voices, but couldn't make out any words, which he was grateful for. They had a beautiful view of the sunset on their mountain trail, where it painted the landscape around them with blazing reds and yellows, and caused their shadows to stretch out far behind them, but he was too worried to enjoy it. He was looking up most of the time, trying to see where the dragons were, trusting his horse to safely follow the path down. He would be much happier once they got back to camp and rid themselves of this unwelcome escort.

Ahone Grays
¯¨'*·~-.¸¸,.-~*' ¯¨'*·~-.¸¸,.-~*'
Prince | Some cave | tags; Mountain group, Moolettia

Frankly, Ahone had just wanted to ride without anyone talking to him so he could go into what can be considered as a trance, where he's awake but asleep at the same time. He had done it during his studies so many times, listening and moving, but practically brain dead and, well, getting small amounts of rest. It's not as good ad a power nap or anything but at least it's something.
Of course, his want to just rest was denied by Moon starting up conversation with the one-eyed soldier, causing him to look up from where he had been just blankly staring to see that she was watching him, as if wanting him to have some input on this topic. In response, all he did was shrug. He had no clue, and he doubted to soldier did either.

adira "echo" frey
____________________________
assassin | port city | ash

Echo snatched the cloak out of the air, the smooth material almost slipping through her fingers. She nodded her thanks towards Ash, pulling her torn cloak off and replacing it with the darker one. Echo would still be visiting a merchant when she got the chance. While the silk hood was nice, she would be looking for something a bit more... substantial. One that wouldn't feel like losing a small fortune if it got torn up. Or just utterly ruined. It was bound to happen eventually. Echo gave Ash a curious look when the woman mentioned speaking to the birds. She must must have the ability to communicate with the creatures in some form or fashion. An interesting ability to have, if nothing else. Then again, she once met a man who could transform into a fly at a moment's notice. Interesting may be an overstatement. "Let's give each other a few hours of searching. If we come up with nothing, we can meet at that inn." Echo gestured to a building not too far away from where they were standing. "If I can't find my horse or the thief, I may be here overnight." She would bet that whoever took Valor wouldn't hang around for more than a day, if even that. If she was going to find them, she needed to stay on their trail. Echo gave Ash a nod of temporary farewell, and turned towards the apparent marketplace. Her first step would be to purchase a dagger. Her second would be to "negotiate" with a sailor.
